Arriving to a unheated room, and then a lack of urgency to get heating issue resolved. We had to stay in bar for 45 minutes. Flat screen ok but remote control did not work was given different remote but that didn't work in this case because no batteries fitted. Water was cold at 8.30 am had to boil kettle to wash, fortunately we had showered at night and water temp was good then, so just as well. The lighting was inadequate. impossible to use for make up or shaving, one bedside lamp broken.

Our only issue was the breakfast did not start until 9.30 which for business travellers not so good

Just the breakfast timings everything was excellent

The location was attractive and convenient for Hertford.

The room is fine / good, but the pub is amazing - that's what I came back for, great food, great staff, great beer. However, it is closed Mondays and Tuesdays. I booked this stay months in advance and they waited until my free cancellation ran out, 2 days prior to my stay, to inform me of this. That seems underhanded to me.

The room was large and comfortable. Nice big bed and quite location.

It was very frustrating to arrive at 8.30pm and be told that the kitchen was closed for dinner having had a long drive anticipating a warm welcome and good meal. Email communication about serving times would have been helpful. Breakfast was also not an option as it was served from 9am which was too late for me.

The staff were very friendly and helpful and our room was lovely and clean and nice and warm

The bedroom walls are thin so if you happen to have a noisy neighbour you won't get any sleep until they decide to go to sleep.

Lovely room, great service, excellent food, local pub feel, will use again for a London NFL base.

The bathroom was well presented and clean.

It was clear that when the bar shut at 11, the bar staff then had a drink and put on loud rap music until after midnight.
