The stay was not as advertised. The rooms were not even in the hotel building which was not explained. It was in a seperate building streets away with no security on doors. The rooms were dirty and not as advertised. Felt very unsafe leading to moving to a new hotel.

The hotel room was adorable! It had lovely doors and windows, the bed was soft on top and firm underneath. There was a small TV, chairs and a table to sit on, a wardrobe for your clothes, and a mirror in the room you could use. The bathroom was very clean and modern looking. The view from the windows was a lovely stretch of a canal and it was wonderful to watch the sunset on.
It was difficult to control the temperature of the room, it was very warm. Besides that it was great!

Loved the terrace on the third floor overlooking the side canal.
The air conditioning in our room( Marco Polo) was not effective to cool the room. The only place you felt it was right underneath and even there it was not very cool. The entrance door was stuck at one point and we were unable to leave the building. There is no staff at the building, so we had to call the reception at another hotel.

The room was spacious and clean.
Great there was a fridge to put bottles of drinks.
Room was nice and cool on arrival which was fantastic as the walk from the bus terminal is decent.
Our only complaint would be the drain in shower needs fixing!!
The shower itself was good but the water was not going down the drain quickly, so it would fill up. That was a bit gross as your feet would be soaking also was afraid it would spill out onto the bathroom floor.

Nice place, great location.
A little weird that for a 4star location, there were no staff on site overnight.

The old man took me to the place they reassigned for me.
It was a bad experience! I booked a hotel two months ago, sounds great. Then they told me that I have to wait for an available room. The lady was telling me that they have too many people to arrange rooms for. She told me I could get a room after 1:00pm. So I left my luggage and went to see some sites. I went back to the hotel at about 6:00pm. After making the payment, the receptionist told me that my room was in another place. So after the long trip, waited whole day, they wanted me to walk to another place which was on the other side of the water to stay!

We wanted to be located near to the Tronchetto as we were travelling on a transfer bus to a cruise ship so the location was perfect. It was a short walk to the people mover. We walked around Venice which wasn't a long walk.
The room was beautiful, very spacious and clean no complaints.
The check in was at a sister hotel which was a ten minute walk away. The outside appearance was not the best when we arrived. It was self entry via a given code on check in and collection of key as reception in hotel closed so not a real problem

It was really wonderful hotel. People complained check in on comments . Actually so simple. After booking, you will receive an email with some details. So close between hotels that you will stay and needs to check in. The hotel is near the canal. So comfortable and clean

Conveniently located close to the station. The room we stayed in was a lot more spacious than typical for Venice, and it was clean and decorated in a what feels like a "venetian style". Even though from outside it looks run down and desolate, inside it's a typical classic hotel. The wifi worked well.
I didnt like the fact that they state that reception is temporarily moved to Hotel degli Artisti due to low season, but reading reviews one can easily see that's what they're doing at least for a year even during high season.

location is good.
couldn’t rate the staff as the property isn’t staffed. you arrive and see that it is all closed up and you read the signs and you have to go to another hotel to check in, which is about an 8 minute walk away. we checked in and had to walk back to the property, pick our key off of the desk and then went up to the room. The air con didn’t work and the room was boiling as the radiator had been left on. Main light in the bathroom didn’t work. We had a double bed and a sofa bed for the three of us, the sofa bed was incredibly uncomfortable, you could feel the springs wherever you laid. Decor is rather out dated

The location was excellent! close the the train station (6min), a lovely canal and many reasonably priced restaurants! Also the room was really really nice, spacious, pretty, well taken care of, and it had that antique vibe that we loved :) also it was nice that there was a sofa in the room to relax and not only a bed and a desk with a chair, it was a nice element. The reception was also looking lovely however it’s true that there was nobody there (the keys are available in the hotel right next to the train station, 6min away from the place). They also told that that we can leave our luggage both before the check-in and after the check-out, always appreciated gesture, and convenient as it’s so close to the station. To add last thing, the bathroom was also very nice and clean and WARM! all good, will come back
The tv didn’t seem to work, it couldn’t find a signal, however take it with a grain of salt as maybe it’s just our poor skills (we probably could ask for help), last small thing: the shower head needs a bit of adjustment as it was a bit leaking, an easy fix, both things really didn’t had any impact on our stay, it was all good :)

The location is very good. Our room was large and clean.
In the cold of winter, we had to wash with cold water because there was no hot water in the shower. We couldn't reach anyone to fix this.

Aboslutely perfect! We got better room as a Christmas gift :) Large and clean room, huge bathroom. Perfect location, near to the train station and vaporetto station (but we walked to the city center and it was really nice walk). Accommodation like in a fairy tale :)

Seemed traditional/authentic. was upgraded from a single to a double so I had plenty of space.
I did not like having to go to another hotel reception to check in and then have to lug my luggage up and down the steps across the bridge. Because I did not realise where I was staying would be disconnected from where you are required to check in, I believe something needs to be put in place for transporting your luggage from where you check in to where you stay, such as a porter arranged and paid for by the hotel.
My room also didn’t have a kettle. I understand heat is potential hazzard that could potentially damage the room but a kettle is unlikely to do any damage.

Hotel room was really nice. Bigger one in Venice. Location is good and walkable from Santa Lucia train station. It's also easy to get to the city center by boat or even you can walk.
Check in was done at different hotel around 600 m from actual hotel and reception is not available.

I did like the location and clean space
It was cold during night. The blanket which was covering the bed was not clean (somebody had urinated in It a while ago)
The reception and room service was not available.
The house was leaking water in.
The rooms were not quiet.

I was upgraded and had a huge room with a lovely view
many windows, very bright (surprisingly quiet)
the bathroom was huge, too, and the furniture good looking
good mattress
extra seating area
very good WLAN
close to the railway station and the Piazzale Roma, opposite of a very nice and trendy bar (where you can have breakfast, too)
the check-in is in another hotel (not much of an issue but though I had received an email 6 months in advance that the check-in was „temporarily“ in the hotel Agli Artisti, I received another note some days before my actual stay saying that the check-in would be at — „bei“ — Ca dei Polo, so I went straight there). The hotel „Agli Artisti“ is close but not „around the corner“.
I was not aware that Ca dei Polo is really more like an apartment complex (not even a residence) since there is no one in this „hotel“ (at no times there is one) whom you could address/ask smth: „you can always call“ — was the response from Agli Artisti — which is of no help if you for example need more than a linnen in order to sleep because it has become suddenly cold (I ended up using a somewhat smelly blanket from the closet). + I did not receive the asked for wake-up call.
I cannot pin it down but the whole place gives you the feeling of having been neglected to some extent or having not been „in use“ for some time: the information in my room about WLAN and check-in, check-out was outdated (so you really have to keep the tiny paper clip given to you at the reception of the „other“ hotel), the sofa in my room was (stll?) covered with linnens, water pressure in the shower was low, shower doors did not fully close, one curtain could not be fixed etc. Nothing serious, just minor aspects, … but contributing to the overall feeling this place gives one.

The actual location is quite well connected and the property has a well-functioning AC and it is clean. The staff in the other hotel is quite helpful and friendly but not this one.
The miscommunication between the staff in the hotel ( or the owner ) and his attitude is really disappointing. Regarding the location, the location displayed in the booking is not correct, I chose to open the address in Google and it leads me to another place. Secondly, there is no any sign about the hotel in front of an old building except for a piece of A4 paper noticing that one has to check in in another hotel due to cost reduction after pandemia, which is 8-9 mins walking distance with a bridge. The telephone number of the hotel is not updated here. so you probably won’t be able to reach out to the staff through that number. There is water leaking in the main common area of the hotel. When I contacted the owner of the hotel to negotiate the problem, he said it’s not his fault just make a complaint after you arrive at the room while I was already exhausted after walking for 30 mins carrying all my luggage. You could probably check the Google comments before you book the hotel. There you will find more informative ones. Obviously he (the owner of the hotel) has encountered this many many times and instead of fixing the problem and providing the customers a better experience he chooses to tell you just make a complaint. Probably there is no much punishment for that.
