Firstly I would like to say THANK YOU to our wonderful hosts! The photos just don’t do this place any justice. When we first pulled in we were greeted by the sweetest pup. It was almost like she was ushering us into our perfect weekend stay. Followed by the absolutely wonderful Chris. Such a pleasant and kind woman! She graciously showed us to our cabin and introduced us to her adorable gaggle of friends. On the property we’re all of the amazing animals. I felt like I was in an enchanted forest surrounded by the friendliest turkeys and bunnies! If you’re out doorsy, and don’t mind sharing your space with a few animal friends, then this is certainly the place for you. Inside the cabin were these gorgeous wooded vaulted ceilings, a cute kitchenette, spacious bathroom and a small seating area with table and chairs. Her decor is spot on with the feel of old timey Gettysburg. You just couldn’t help but feel at home. Once we settled in we sat on the cute screened in porch and just watched all her animals in awe. I especially enjoyed the company of the turkeys. Debbie the Turkey is a HOOT! If I could give her 10 stars, I would! This was the perfect weekend getaway that has been long over due for me and my husband. We’ll be talking about this trip for weeks, even years to come. We are already planning our next stay at Brierfield!

Great location. This was my first trip to Gettysburg.. The Gettysburg National Military Park Museum and Visitor Center is a must see. Another highlight of the trip was Hershey Park. The animals here at Cushing cottage brought joy. The owners are a wonderful couple. The cottage was very clean!

We had such a lovely time staying at Cushing Cottage at Brierfield! It was so nice waking up to some peace and tranquility and a visit from all the animals. We especially enjoyed Izzy coming to sit with us while we had our morning coffee. Highly recommend staying here for your next Gettysburg trip.

Such an absolutely perfect spot for a weekend getaway to celebrate our anniversary. Chris and Todd could not have been more helpful or welcoming. Their many extra little touches were appreciated. The friendly animals made sure we received a proper welcome, too! Hope to return. Highly recommend.

Todd and Chris were gracious hosts! Everything was organized, clean. We appreciated the added snacks etc. If we had one complaint it would be the mattress. It really should be replaced.

Unfortunately we arrived late in the evening and did not get to spend much time in the charming cabin . We loved the animals especially the beautiful white turkeys. They all gathered to give us a farewell. We would stay there again if ever in the area.

Greater than we imagined. We were greeted by the host and a multitude of animals and able to feed the chickens, ducks and turkeys while the rabbits looked on.
The cottage was impressive with a screened in porch for evening wine and morning coffee.

Adorable clean, private cabins nestled in 17 acres. Constant greetings from chicken, geese, ducks, and rabbits. All the animals are well behaved but curious. I almost don’t want anyone else to find out about this destination. We are sure to visit through the upcoming years. You could not find better hosts than Chris and Todd!!!!

This is our second time staying here and my wife and I will be coming back for a third stay next year. The cabins are wonderful, comfortable and the chickens, ducks, rabbits and turkeys are fun to feed in the morning. Cannot recommend high enough.

We had such a nice enjoyable weekend at Cushing cottage. The place was very clean and the bed very comfortable. We just loved the turkey trio that welcomed us to the property and greeted us every morning. I just had to laugh every time the three of them walked over to us. The property is very relaxing, from the little screed porch you can watch bunnies hopping around and the chickens and turkeys wandering all over. The property is located a very short ride into Gettysburg and it was nice after a long day touring the battlefield to go back and relax at the cottage. Also, a nice surprise was the little treats that were left for us. Very thoughtful. Loved it!!!

We came to Gettysburg for the first time and stayed here. It was wonderful. The space is a cottage out in the country so it was peaceful and quiet but had all the amenities you could want. There are a large number of entertaining animals there and a wonderful farm stand right across the street. It was close to the park. Chris and Todd are excellent hosts and were very responsive to any little things and gave great recommendations for restaurants. Stay here if you can!

My husband and I enjoyed our weekend together at the cottage. The hosts Todd and Chris made you feel like friends that came to town for a visit. They go above expectations. The cottage was clean and even came with thoughtful gifts. We enjoyed the mornings with the animals and a relaxing evening by the fire.

Do not hesitate to stay here! It’s our second time staying. We had a short visit with another couple staying in the other cottage. We love all of the animals. Our favorites were the turkey mafia😂. Our only regret is that we did not stay longer. We definitely will return for a longer visit when we can really relax and spend more time at the cottage. Relaxing and peaceful!! The extra touches are very much appreciated. Snacks, juice, water, wine, coffee. By far the best place to stay for your visit to Gettysburg and surrounding area.

We had an absolutely fantastic stay and highly recommend this is a must stay location! The property is charming and has many friendly animals to our delight. We spent our evening on the front porch and walking the grounds with the turkeys, ducks, rabbits, quails, a cat and dog! We enjoyed the cheese, crackers and wine provided in the cabin. If we make it back to Gettysburg, we will definitely book this cabin again. Thanks Chris for a fantastic stay and the memories!

Charming little place with a grand welcoming party. Loved the variety of animal friends who greeted us upon arrival and stayed to visit. Would come back just to see them again. Property owner left a surprise treat on our windshield which was a nice touch. Gettysburg is always a great place to visit and staying here made it extra special and fun.

Clean, picturesque, comfy, quiet, friendly and a great location. This is easily the best rental we've ever stayed in. All the animal visitors were a wonderful treat! We appreciated all the extras the owners supplied. Thank you so much to Chris and Todd :) We can't wait to return!

We have stayed at the Brierfield cabin 3 years in a row. We enjoy the quiet, homey, and peaceful environment. Chris and Todd are awesome hosts. Their pets are so tame and come to greet you at different times during your stay. I love their 17 acres of tranquility and will continue to go visit once or twice a year.

This was our first vacation together in 5 years, and we can't get over how truly wonderful our stay was. From start to finish, we were able to enjoy the peaceful environment we so desperately needed. All of the farm animals are so friendly and funny to watch, and the cottage is so thoughtfully arranged and stocked with snacks, heverages, and everything you could need to be comfortable.
I had a migraine during one of the days of our stay, and both Chris and Todd were so caring and helpful during the recovery period. They truly care about their guests, and it shows.
We will absolutely be staying here again, and we can't wait!

Our stay at Brierfield was so wonderful. The cabin was beautiful the scenery stunning and the 3 Stooges ( 3 make turkeys) were quite entertaining.
