location, price and food

The views from the room and front of the hotel were beautiful. The staff were friendly and helpful. Food portions were big and reasonably priced so you won't be going hungry. The area is quiet and peaceful with nature for company. Initially we thought the pool was small but it's perfect for having a cool dip in after a long day of exploring. All the other guests we spoke to said it was great value for money. All the extra services provided were cheaper than the town and even other hotels such as hiring an ebike and laundry services.

There wasn't anything we didn't like. Noise travels through the hotel so it might be worth a couple of signs to remind guests to be respectful of other travellers (noisy children!) We wished there was 2 chairs in a room or on a balcony. We had a lovely, comfy chair in the room but not enough for both of us to sit on and enjoy the beautiful view.

I always research the best quality/price and i got the room within balcony at discount price included breakfast. the room has an amazing view, highly recommended. breakfast 3 set menu with international choice, very taste it and within eggs, pancakes, coffee ecc. people very kind and nice.

no elevator, so if you have a big luggage need to use the stairs. you can do it if you have only one luggage

I had an excellent stay here. It really is a retreat - so peaceful and comfortable, with excellent views and delicious food. If you are looking for a relaxing stay, you must book here! The menu has so many food options that you do not need to leave to buy anything. Breakfast is delicious. The common eating area is set up so it's easy to talk with other travelers or by yourself, whatever you prefer. All the staff is so kind and helpful! The location is across the Li River but it is easy to cross over every day. By walking, it's about 15 minutes to the ferry. By driving or ebike, it is no problem at all. (I also highly recommend renting an ebike to explore Yangshuo!) I extended my stay by two days because it was too good to leave!!

The staff, location and view couldn't have been better. Shelly the owner and her family run the hotel and it is such a nice, family-centred place. Shelly speaks good English and is always willing to help organise outings and book scooters to hire. Weiwei is such a lovely, happy person to collect your breakfast order. Shelly's older sister cleans the rooms and is so kind and friendly. The pool is lovely, though it does need to be cleaned (and this was in fact underway as we left). The view is priceless. If you like waking up to the sounds of the countryside (roosters and frogs!) you'll love this place.

There were a couple of leaks in our bathrooms which took a few days to fix. The pool needs to be cleaned or the pump and filter fixed. The towels often smelled of mould so I think drying the towels is a challenge for them.

What a gem! By far the best views of the mountains in Yangshuo. Quiet side of the river. Peaceful. Best sleep I have had in years. Friendly staff. Beautiful room with amazing view. Authentic. Great swimming pool. A Didi ride away from West Street (punch in Dongling Villa southwest gate).

Such a beautiful room, very clean and spacious. The bed was really big and comfy, the terrace was spacious and the view to the mountains just felt amazing. Craig is such an amazing host, very careful and helpful, he told me everything I needed to know, shared and suggested places to visit, also kindly arranged the scooter. Couldn’t ask for more, everything was perfect. Thank you!

- From my point of view the best thing that this hotel has is the fantastic view of Yangshuo hills, due to it’s specific location. The place is very quiet. - I have booked the cheapest room at this hotel, because I stayed only for few days in Yangshuo, but I was surprised with it, I had a balcony and the best view from my room. I appreciate that a lot. The room was spacious and had a very comfortable big bed. - All the staff were super friendly and helpful. I was offered advices on what to see in Yangshuo and how to get everywhere. And also at some point was offered the cheapest way for me to get somewhere, instead of trying to rip off tourists and offer the most expensive options, like other hotels like to do. So I respect this. - I arrived very late to Guilin airport, but I was still offered airport transfer, and they driver was on time, which made my trip very comfortable - Also important to mention, after checking out of my room, I still had a lot of free time before my ride, so the staff let me stay on the terrace and relax and enjoy the view while waiting.

Place is Good , The owner and people managing the premises very very nice and helpful , Craig who manages the place has been a great help thru the stay .The view from the restaurant is simply amazing .Room is decent.

Great location for tranquility - set away from the town with fantastic views. The rooms are basic but fine. Could do with a clean, especially the bathroom. Hosts were great and arranged horse riding for us and gave us directions to the ferry across to Yangshuo town. Great location to explore Fuli and Xingping from.

Nice quiet place in a walking distance to the ferry, nice western breakfast, very friendly owners. We all enjoyed the pool there.

The staff is lovely and the manager speaks English and very helpful. The vue is amazing, it's close to city center. The manager can help you to rent scooters easily and recommend you some nice places. You can also ride horse just beside the hotel. The breakfast and coffee is good. The pool is big and nice The bed are counfy. Everything is super nice and easy for foreigners. Thank you!

Fragrant flowers at the entrance, beautiful scenery, very clean property, helpful staff and a serene location that was away from the crowds but only 10 minutes from downtown Yangshuo.

Fantastic staff who spoke English. He helped with onward travel in the local Chinese buses, arranging taxis for nights out and bike hire with explanations of the best cycle routes.
