Bigger on the inside, The Old Coach House is a deceptively spacious cottage situated on the Tarka Trail. Fitted with a well equipped kitchen, en-suite and cosy bedrooms and beautiful well lit lounge with stunning views, it was the perfect place to explore the North Devon countryside and nearby beaches.
The most we had to travel was an hour to reach our various destinations which included Westward Ho! Woolacombe beach, Bude, Lynford Gorge, Buckland Abbey to name but a few of the beautiful places. We were able to easily adapt our plans due to the inclement weather as there was so much to see.
We would also recommend popping into the Duke of York which was situated within the village of Iddesleigh. Lovely atmosphere and good food enjoyed on our first and last night. We would recommend getting your groceries delivered and have refreshments at the Duke of York whilst you wait.

Very cosy & comfortable. The dog's loved lying in front of the log burner after their adventures.

The cottage and the village were beautiful. The cottage had everything we needed and was easy to use. There were even a few board games play.
The futon beds upstairs were very uncomfortable.

The old coach house cottage was lovely. It was clean and very family friendly. It was in a quiet area with a lovely view. A lovely and cozy place. They had thought well about the guest that were staying. Attention to detail was very good. They even had candles if someone wanted to celebrate the birthday while they were there. It was clean. We felt home away from home. Had towels for the guest.

Very very impressed with "the old coach house" upon pulling up outside & then when you open the door, it's absolutely mind blowing😲 such a lovely adorable cottage, well equipped with everything you need for your stay (apart from your own family & food) such a quant idyllic charming hidden away peaceful place❤ to be honest having trouble finding anything negative to say about the old coach house, that's because there isn't. When in the area again & is available we will most definitely stay again.

Self Catering. We loved the Woodburner Fire, so warm and cosy, grateful as the weather was miserable, but coming back to the easy to light fire, was a treat to look forward to. Great T.V. set, beautiful picture and easy to use.
Kitchen very well fitted with everything there to produce an excellent meal.
The shower was a lovely size and plenty of hot water, however, it was 'let down' by the lack of a non slip mat in the shower, as the floor was slippery when wet due to the smooth surface.

Rural location! Well equipped with everything needed for a holiday stay
Parking situation wasn’t great, could have been sorted better as enough room outside the property. 5 miles of very narrow country lanes.
The sofa needed upgrading!

The cottage was great and very comfortable
Neighbours were disrespectful and aggressive on a couple of occasions which was disappointing

Comfortable well equipped cottage in quiet setting. Great for a rural getaway.

This newly thatched and immaculate cottage exceeded our expectations. It's tastefully appointed, has a delightfully open kitchen with everything needed to self cater, and it's dog friendly. Generous bathroom with both a rain AND a directed shower head. A combo washer/dryer was an unexpected plus. Best of all, the state of the art wood burner made every evening cozy.
This cottage provided coffee beans, an espresso machine (!), a kettle, sugar and tea. Wonderful! However, the coffee bean grinder was broken. A small thing fixed by a trip to buy ground coffee.
The only other thing that might be improved is information on how to obtain firewood. We'd brought some eco logs and bought the last pack in the Waitrose as well, but without that, we'd have missed the joy of the nightly fire.
