This beautiful quiet place with comfortable Couch, TV, nice terrace and birds coming by to say good Morning every day. Pretty well equipped kitchen. Good equipped supermarket "Cazou" near by in Santa Maria by taxi for 4€. Beautiful Melia resort / pools with nice staff and reasonable prices for drinks / eat a la carte is good if wished from time to time. Nearby tropical garden Vivero is extremely beautiful to visit. Also beaches nearby. Golf course nearby. Green Fee around 100 € + Equipment to rent. I relaxed alot there. Santa Maria town is beautiful with dream beaches and locations for eat and drink for 4€ by taxi / 5€ later at night. Fresh meat is exceptional tasty good by CV animals at Cazou supermarket. No factory farming at Cabo Verde.

Central buffet Restaurant in Resort, pay by go is too expensive of 40€ per Person for lunch or dinner. Food / cooking taste does not justify this high price. "All inclusive" wine is like vinegar in taste not drinkable for enjoyment. Better use a la carte restaurants of Resort with much better food presentation/taste and nice waiter service and sourroundings. We mostly did cook by ourself in good equipped kitchen of appartement by own food preferences. Use high protection sun screen 30+ or 50 all day water resistant. Wear sun protection cap all day, sun protection shirts for snorkeling in the sea etc. to have a good holiday as sun in aquatorial region down there is extremely strong. Stay in shadow outside between 13:00 and 15:00.

The private apartment was extremely comfortable and felt like home away from home.

I wish there were more fun activities for adults as the water park onsite is for kids although the environment has an overall relaxing feel.

It is very difficult to understand the system of the different coloured bands at the resort. When you rent private, it is very difficult to put what you buy on the room (private account). And nobody seemed to be able to do something with it, even though we asked about it many times.
