Good location in Glenn Innes, food was great value for money and delicious. Bed was comfortable and the electric blanket was definitely worth it in extreme conditions.
All was fine for the price of the accommodation

Staff were lovely. Food was delicious.
Room heater didn't work. Room was very cold. Electric blanket worked but as they do, took a while to heat the bed so I could sleep comfortably. Tip - turn on electric blanket as soon as you arrive. Fine for the $.

It was basic but very comfortable. A shared bathroom isn't for everybody, but it didn't devalue our experience. With a bar downstairs and excellent food on offer too, my son and I were more than happy.
Nothing for us to dislike.

Cool, grand old countrytown pub
Mens bathroom was tiny and so gross - I didn't even want to use the shower so just waited til I got home which luckily is just up the street.

Lovely old style pub with older style rooms above. Bed was not so comfortable but room has a nice ambience opening onto the verandah of the hotel.

Rooms were not ready when we arrived. Also, I did not get the bed setups as requested. Mens toilet and 1 shower not working.

Fantastic cheap option for an overnight stay during a road trip. Well located walking distance to shops cafes, etc. Great bar and great pub food. This is our go to when staying in Glen Innes.
Facilities are in need of an update, but still good considering the price!

The downstairs pub section of this hotel is closed on Mondays, although the upstairs is still available for accommodation. It would have been good to know that. When I arrived I found myself locked out. Perhaps a sign on the main entry door saying "If you a guest, just ring this number and we'll let you in" would help. Or an email or text beforehand advising what you need to do to get in.

Need to advise guests that hotel is closed between lunchtime and 5:30 pm on Sundays.
Also have a plumber install tap washers that are easier for arthritic wrists to turn off the taps.

Location was great. Could walk to everything in town and we spent time in the hotel (meals, bars, coffee shop, breakfast room, verandah) which was a bonus as we had 2 other couples in our group who also stayed at the hotel.
The few staff were very friendly and did what they could to serve us which was hard for them as there weren't really enough staff for all the jobs.
Our first night there was no hot water in the showers which was disappointing. A cold shower in winter is no fun.
Breakfast was pretty basic (self-serve), made a bit difficult by the lack of any spoons.
The verandah was a bit shabby and dusty and obviously needs repairs.
The pub was very short-staffed so wait times for drinks and meals were higher than expected.
