Liked the overall atmosphere at Yacumaman, the shared kitchen is spacious and comfortable to use, the location is very calm

The mattress was old and hard, the overall price of the accommodation isn't in line with what you get, the room didn't have any storage/wardrobe space and there was no hot water (in case you feel you need it)

I loved the environment. The windows in our room and bathroom had incredible views of the jungle. The customer service was excellent. Aubrey is so kind and informative. Their was plenty of space to spread out and be very comfortable. The kitchen is a community size with plenty of space to prepare meals. We were lucky enough to have the whole lodge to ourselves, so my friends and I found so much relaxation and comfort. Plenty of space for solitude and reflection. We were lucky to have monkeys visit us too. They were so sweet and friendly. The mosquitos were not as bad as I imagined and we visited in early March.

I don’t have any complaints for our stay at the sanctuary. Be careful and aware when visiting the jungle in general. Pack hiking/grippy shoes for slick paths. Mosquito repellant and a rain coat is necessary. Make sure you know some Spanish if you plan to visit the city. Aubrey speaks English, but in the city of Tarapoto not many spoke English (at least not at the places we visited). My friend could act as my translator but I would’ve had a difficult time without her. This does not have to do with our stay I just want to share some info I did not prepare as well for.

Its an amazing experience to live in comfortable jungles with facilities and no mosquitos. Amazing view from your window at the garden, clean kitchen, friendly personnel and owners of this place are always ready to help. If you come to Tarapoto to walk your spiritual path and need a place to stay in privacy, comfort, good vibrations, you are welcome to Yacumaman sanctuary. I loved my staying there 🧡

Lovely place enveloped in nature, but walking distance to the centre of Tarapoto. The setting is absolutely beautiful, the rooms are nicely decorated and spotlessly clean, the common area was cosy and wellkept – and my bathroom window had a beautiful panoramic view of the jungle. Coming right from an immersion retreat in the jungle this was such a perfect and gentle transition back to city life for me. Lots of lovely, welcoming and helpful vibes from employees and the owner. Would love to return some day!
