Ellon itself is lovely & the food at Buchan Hotel was fine.
Don’t stay at Buchan if you want to sleep! Loud music & shouting till the early hours both nights.

Hotel was clean and nicely decorated. Cooked breakfast was very good, including the haggis. Friendly staff. Conveniently located for visiting family and chilling at the beach. We didnt get to visit the Chocolate shop but definitely will next time!
The room (120) was lovely but Im certain I booked an extra large bed, as specified at £99 per night but our room had a basic sized double bed and having driven 8 hours, we were too tired to question it...
Also there was a cooling generator outside the window so we had to keep the window closed. - not great in August.
Sundays breakfast was a bit dried out and they could only offer white toast....

The staff could not have been more welcoming and helpful.
The food was superb and the choice was amazing.
There wasn't anything that I didn't like.

Nicely located wee hotel. Staff friendly and helpful. Good breakfast and decent bar with good selection of drinks. Proper tea n biscuits in room. Didn't use the restaurant other than for breakfast but judging by it's quality I'd be surprised if the food wasn't of an equally high standard.

I would say this is an upper end 3star hotel. There ate a lot of facilities such as spa , swimming pool and sauna. Plenty of space and entertainment over the whole weekend not just the tribute night. can’t fault the staff as nothing was too much bother.
not too much really, some of the food was not as good as we would have liked but at the price it was reasonable.

Lovely view over the river.
We has lunch in the lounge and the food was excellent.
Breakfast was also very good.
Bathroom was a bit dated but very clean and powerful and hot shower.

Eggs were fine thought, close to the bus stop
Very small room for very high price, nothing worked, there were no towels, when I forgot my phone there, the lady was very unhelpful.

Wonderful staff, very friendly and helpful. Fantastic dinner. Great breakfast. The hotel was a lot more modern than I expected. Rooms were nice with great bathrooms

Breakfast was very nice.
The hotel itself was nice and very clean but our room was very shabby.There was a very large crack in the bathroom wall. The bathroom window didn't close properly. Pillows very flat and so was duvet.

Room wasn’t heated for my arrival. No tumbler in bathroom for rinsing mouth after cleaning teeth.

Staff were extremely friendly. The lady who greeted us on arrival (sorry, we didn’t catch her name but she had fair hair and glasses) was particularly helpful.

Breakfast & restaurant were fine.
The room smelled stale & damp. The toilet wasn’t cleaned properly. There was only 1 towel between both of us. Loud noises from Bridge Bar & the Night club across from our room on Friday night!!

Staff very obliging, friendly
Walls dirty in bedroom,very outdated rooms, poor choice of breakfast eg. no fresh fruit croissants etc, when checking out early leaving without breakfast or fruit when it's included. When checking in room that was assigned was not even cleaned out at 9pm although staff was accomadating and designated a different room.
