Loved the location and how quaint the place is. Comfortable room and beds, nice breakfast area and very tasty breakfast, has on-site parking, and all service personnel were super kind and attentive.

Noisy room because window was on a busy street. The maintenance of the building could be improved without taking away its rustic and quaint spirit. Bathroom was very small and the room for three could have been larger.

The room was cold at night but that is every hotel that we stayed in. Just bring warm pajamas! There were plenty of blankets on the bed.

The rooms were very comfortable and clean. The included breakfast was delicious and the staff was very helpful. The courtyard is absolutely gorgeous. From the second floor, you can see the largest domes of the Quetzaltenango Cathedral. The plants and flowers located around the hotel are lovely. The showers were nice with wooden floors. It is very close to the central park. Very walkable neighborhood

There were a number of fees/taxes that I was not informed of earlier that raised the price quite a bit. It sometimes took a while to grab the attention of the person at the front desk when we needed her to open the door to the parking lot. The parking lot is beautiful (it is make from cobblestones in the courtyard) but it is quite difficult to maneuver in that small space. I recommend calling beforehand to know where to find the entrance (it is discrete)

Casa Morasan was a fabulous place for our stay in Xela. The hotel is very chic, clean, and comfortable. My wife and I were surprised to find such a wonderful place outside of Antigua and Guate. I highly recommend the hotel and will stay here again next time.

Some reviewers complained of the street noise. We experienced none of that. There might be some rooms that are on the exterior allowing street noise, so make sure to ask for a quiet room away from the street and you will be fine. In fact, we didn't set an alarm and slept in much later than expected because the room was so quiet and peaceful. After hiking Tajumulco, we really needed the extra rest!

the bed was too hard and the second night we couldn’t sleep well because of the noise other guests made. The floor of the rooms make a lot of noise when you walk on it, you even hear when your neighbour goes to the bathroom.

Electrical is a bit unusual, hot water is uncommon.

Hotel is at a perfect location although a bit noisy, depending on the room’s location - next to street level or 2nd floor. The bath towels need to be replaced as these ‘scratch’ rather than dry. Rooms are somewhat small. The one we got didn’t have night tables nor night lamps hence if your spouse went to sleep before you, you had to keep the room’s light on or be in the dark. In Quetzaltenango the evening/night temperature is cold — area rugs to minimize the cold ceramic floor would help. Trash can in the room wasn’t available only in the bathroom. Overall hotel is good, except for these minor details

The issues mentioned above. The parking lot is very small and difficult to park if you have a big vehicle or family van.
