This is going to be a strange review, as I've never stayed at Ascot Flats. When we got into the flat we discovered together with the host that it was out of service due to water leakage from the upper floor he'd not noticed before. We really appreciated the way the problem was sorted out, and in less than one hour we were already in a different accommodation provided by them. The original accommodation looked very cool, and the one we were redirected to was fitting our needs too. The way the issue was managed and the kindess of the hosts deserves high rating.

The location

It was freezing cold in the flat and very dark

Would have preferred a satelite TV for more choice.

Owner was friendly.

Room condition was poor. The lighting was dark, the bed was smelled, and Wifi almost didn't work.

The house could have a heating system. The water from the pipes was a bit rusty.

Good location -on a quiet side street. smooth check-in process - the host even kept us a parking spot for our arrival.

deceiving pictures. They are two apartments under the same listing. the nicer one is emphasized in the pictures. Bad luck for us, we got the not-so-nice one. Bathroom was 1.5sqm, so very squeezed. We chose to leave after the first night and move to a hotel nearby. Host mentioned it is our fault we picked up the wrong apartment - so no reimbursement.

Location 100 meters from the main street and the beach. Bus stop with connections around the island and sandy beach within 5 minutes. A strategic place for trips around Malta as well as for relaxation by the water. We were in October, so there were fewer people on the beach. For me, the apartment has a beautiful atmosphere. Plenty of space, working wifi, we did not need air conditioning. Very comfortable beds! The owner was very nice.

Small bathroom space, but that can't be changed.

The lady was very nice person, helped us in pick and drop to the airport.

Great location! Quiet street, just 250m to the closest beach, mini market, restaurants and bus stop even closer. Very hospitable and helpful host. Small kitchen, but there is everything you need to prepare fast vacation meal.

It wasn’t

The owner of the flat was really really nice, showed on time, helped us on every request! Really made a comfortable experience in staying in the flat.

The toilet curtain didn’t cover much, so it was a little see through if someone was in the living room

Location was excellent, near the sea, restaurants, transport, yet very quiet. The host was extremely helpful and responded quickly to all requests. The accommodation was comfortable, with old Maltese character.

The location is amazing, just near the beachfront in Sliema. The host was super friendly and helpful with everything. I had an enjoyable stay and the apartment would be ideal for a family trip.

If you have planned to cook, maybe consider heating the oven in advance. The flat is overall practical, maybe consider eating out often as the kitchen is not its' strongest point.
