From an overall property standpoint, this is a very convenient location. We have always loved staying on this part of the island. The walkway to the beach is a great asset that was much needed. I wish the property had a better way to get a wheelchair down to the pool area without having to go all the way around the building. The pathway alongside the building was rather narrow and we found ourselves in the bushes a few times.

My stay was OK, but I won't rent this unit again. That said, it could work for others. PROS - Location & view! Close to shops & restaurants, easy boardwalk stroll to the beach, pretty pool, and amazing views. The shower is large and has good water pressure. The bedroom mattress was reasonably comfy, maybe a medium firmness. The half-moon counter worked great as a dining area. I didn't see any bugs in the unit. There is no washer/dryer in the unit, but there are washer/dryers on the 2nd, 3rd and 4th floors. Vacation Time left of a lot of bath towels, which was handy. Check-in & out went smoothly and Vacation Time personnel were friendly. Plenty of parking. CONS - This building does not have central AC; instead, there is a wall-unit in the bedroom and in the living area. They both worked OK to keep the space cool, but the bedroom AC stayed on constantly to keep the room at around 73 degrees. It was loud and bothered my allergies, so I slept in the living area. The living area AC didn't bother me, but the pull-out couch wasn't comfy, despite the new-ish memory foam mattress. My back started to hurt after a few days. There is no vent fan in the bathroom, so taking a hot shower (even with the door open) makes the unit humid. There is a ceiling fan in the bathroom, but it needs to be replaced; it was starting to peel. The appliances in the kitchen worked, but the refrigerator didn't work as well as it should (my ice cream was more like soft serve, and I did check to make sure it was on the coldest setting.) The balcony has good space, but for some reason it is sloped a bit. It has an outdoor carpet, so I couldn't see what was causing this. I found this a bit concerning, but I didn't feel it moving, so I sat out there. I think they did a reasonable job cleaning between tenants, but it looks like this unit hasn't been deep cleaned in a while. There is a physical key to get into the unit, but then there is no additional deadbolt lock inside that isn't controlled by the key. There also isn't a peephole. Regarding the pool, I did notice it being cleaned routinely. However, my husband noticed a crack near the top of the pool that was wide enough where he could see the palm tree roots, and water was getting in the crack.

The Ocean Dunes property was older; clean, but "rickety." The outdoor photos of the property are misleading w regard to the pool, which was the small one on the left. Never once did we see it get maintained. The bed was atrocious. I would not stay here in the future.

Great location- felt super safe for distancing. Only real complaint was it didn’t feel really super clean. I brought stuff to clean with (due to the virus) but wish the floors and bath were cleaner. Trash is kind of a haul but we’d just throw it when we left the property

The condo wasn’t as clean as usual. I went to plug up my phone and there were chip crumbs and a lot of dust behind couch. The shelf was falling down n bathroom and the fan was covered n dust. The people in the office are so kind to us. We do feel it's time for a little remodeling (chair arms of a particular chair are very worn, area rugs, blinds in the bedroom, light bulbs need replacing here and there). The office staff/maintenance staff was so helpful replacing several things for us while we were there. Our only real complaint is the cleaning done before we arrive (or lack thereof). There is dust that probably hasn't been touched in months especially under the bed and chairs. There ceiling fan blades needed to be cleaned as well as the hanging beach frame pictures on the walls in the bathroom and living room.

We especially enjoyed the bigger kitchen. Great idea by owners to eliminate the bunk beds. I think a few things need some attention. Both lamps next to the couch were ready to fall apart. The screen on the sliding door to the balcony is broken and needs to be replaced. We were also surprised that the place needed some cleaning. Surfaces were clean, but everything else had a thick layer of dust. Needed a good cleaning. The balcony was covered with pine needles and dirt. We had to clean it before using the table and chairs. Small items that can be easily fixed. Overall, a great week.
