So much has been said about Captain Ergun and his boat trips, that I almost feel redundant making some of these comments. However, when you experience a truly excellent vacation, it’s important to record the experience so others do not need to stress over their boat and captain decision.
For people that don’t have the time to get through this whole review, I’ll post a spoiler now: Stop looking, you’ve found a winner, you won’t do better, it’s time to book with Captain Ergun!
Background: I am a very seasoned traveler. A Captain for one of the highest rated airlines in the world (think Asia) and I truly enjoy the finer things. That said, I appreciate value and a budget. But, my bottom line is SERVICE.
I spent an inordinate amount of time researching boat trips in Turkey. I stumbled across the idea a few years ago while touring the Turkish coast. When I saw the gullets lined up in port, it became a “bucket list” item. This holiday was designed around a multi-night boat trip through the warm and clear waters of southern Turkey. I knew I was looking for a private boat with captain and cook. What I didn’t realize was that I would stumble upon such an absolute gem. There are literally countless companies offering such trips, and each has similar itineraries and pricing. The controlling side of my brain didn’t want to leave the selection of the actual boat and crew to a large company. I wanted to know that I would spend my vacation time with someone whose priority was to make dreams come true. This is where Ergun comes in.
Captain Ergun, is the driving force of change for Turkish boat trips. If you see an amenity advertised in a competitor’s listing, it’s something that Ergun dreamed up first. Ergun over-delivers to the point that it’s comical. Whether it’s to seek out the calmest water or search for an afternoon breeze, to indulge your whim for local fresh bread or a night of dancing. He seems to never run out of energy or motivation. The brilliance of Captain Ergun is that every charter he runs is individualized for his guests. He has an uncanny ability to read you, what you want, and even what you have yet to think of.
I spent my four-nights on the motor sailer EVITA. She is a fully equipped boat with three cabins, all significantly larger then I had expected. The cabins all have an en suite bathroom with shower facility, air conditioning when necessary, and Wi-Fi Internet. Water skiing, tubing, stand-up paddle boarding, kayakin

It was my first experience in a boat for the whole weekend and everything was perfect. My friend told me about captain Ergun and we decided to espend the weekend and everything was perfect. The boat is clean and new, they have all equipments such as snorkling, pedal board and kayak. I was impressed about Merve's food that was absolutely perfect. This July we spent 10 day in Turkey, it have been our best on boat vacation ever! We rented the boat with Capitan Ergun and his Wife Merve for one week. We were seven people: my family of four, the girlfriend of my son ( both 18) and our friend and her daughter ( 18 as well). Ergun an Merve made our vacation a kind of dream. The boat it's in pristine condition not a spot to remark, a lot of very comfy space, a lot of shadow, 4 nice cabin with nice, clean and perfectly working restroom each. A lot of gadget to play with: paddle board, underwater scooter, sea kayak, snorkelling gear in pristine condition. But it's not enough. Ergun, Merve and Ali take any effort to make you feel pampered like a royal without any affectation, discreet but always present and able to prevent your desire. Everybody work very,very hard but always smiling. Eregun take great care of security and it's always very calm. He moves the boat to three or four different wonderful spot everyday, every time securing the boat in three point. And if the water become less than pristine, even if he have finished in that moment to secure the boat, he will move to a better spot. Merve work in the kitchen since sunrise to prepare incredibly fresh and delicious meal, always different and so good you don't even think to go to restaurant, simply amazing but not only : also very healthy. Tons of fruit and veggie perfectly mastered.And when she is not cooking she can drive the boat as a captain too! We had Breakfast, lunch, several snack and dinner each day and they are able to perfectly accomplish the special dietary needs of one of our friends. Perfect timing for the swimming: every time you get on board there is something waiting for you. We had a very nice selection of Turkish wines white and red, incredibly good, carefully chosen by Ergun. The atmosphere on a boat it's paramount and the culture and gentleness of Ergun and Merve and Ali make the difference. My and my wife slept three night in the family villa of Eregun, overlooking Kas with a beautiful garden; they run the business with family members and friends and they were able to organise a perfect pick up at the airport. So, Turkey it's pristine, the people is more than friendly, the coast from Kas to Castelorizo has so many small enchanted bay full of history, ruins, tradition and culture that, added to the marvellous hospitality of Ergun, Marve and Ali, made this trip and vacation one of our happiest and most memorable...Thanks Ergun,thanks

Amazing experience!!
It was my first experience in a boat for the whole weekend and everything was perfect. My friend told me about captain Ergun and we decided to espend the weekend and everything was perfect. We again joined Captain Ergun yesterday on a day trip on his beautiful new boat. This was the first trip we had done with him on his new boat. The boat is more comfortable and spacious which leaves one with a more enjoyable experience. The diving, swimming, and snorkelling were fantastic with Ergun taking us to new spots. We again joined Captain Ergun yesterday on a day trip on his beautiful new boat. This was the first trip we had done with him on his new boat. The boat is more comfortable and spacious which leaves one with a more enjoyable experience. The diving, swimming, and snorkelling were fantastic with Ergun taking us to new spots. The lunch prepared by his beautiful wife was superb. The entire day was a relaxed wonderful holiday experience. Thanks again to you both.

After some research from the UK last year I found Captain Ergun through TripAdvisor and saw that he had some great reviews and therefore booked up his lovely new boat with him and his wife Merve looking after us on board for up to three days at the end of July this year. We are two families, and totally nine people and they accommodated us on a lovely new boat which was very comfortable and we had some great chill out time on board eating their delicious food which included some superb fresh sea bass with some lovely turkish salads. The food was fantastic, their hospitality was fantastic and our teenage children (including my over 50 year old husband) had a great time enjoying all the watersports. It was lovely having Merve and Ergun on board who could speak such great English and could answer some historical questions coming from some of our more inquisitive teenagers, I do not really want to be telling anyone about how wonderful they both are as I want to be able to book up their lovely boat next year!! Cant wait to join them both again next year. :)

Just One Word:'AMAZING'
After some research from the UK last year I found Captain Ergun through TripAdvisor and saw that he had some great reviews and therefore booked up his lovely new boat with him and his wife Merve looking after us on board for up to three days at the end of July this year. We are two families, and totally nine people and they accommodated us on a lovely new boat which was very comfortable and we had some great chill out time on board eating their delicious food which included some superb fresh sea bass with some lovely turkish salads. The food was fantastic, their hospitality was fantastic and our teenage children (including my over 50 year old husband) had a great time enjoying all the watersports. It was lovely having Merve and Ergun on board who could speak such great English and could answer some historical questions coming from some of our more inquisitive teenagers, I do not really want to be telling anyone about how wonderful they both are as I want to be able to book up their lovely boat next year!! Cant wait to join them both again next year. :)

They offered us cake, champagne free of charge and decorated the boat as we instructed them before landing. It was her best birthday ever! Arriving on the boat,, the excitement, the crew very warm and welcoming. Oh!, the food, fresh fish caught off the back of the boat, and the prepared goodies on board.Overall....... Totally Enjoyable

I had no idea what to expect going out on a 50 foot boat for 3 nights and 4 days. From the second we pulled out of port things got more and more amazing. The scenery was so beautiful. The lounging pads with bolsters on deck provided us with a great place to relax. The captain and his wife attended to our every whim. The food was the best we had in Turkey. Our group slept up on deck, as the evenings were lovely. ( I'm not sure how we would have fared in our cabins, as they were small... we were on a boat right?!) This is not the trip for someone who is looking for luxurious travel.. It is a relaxing time, for reading and reflection, and eating wonderful food. The activities are basically swimming in warm Mediterranean waters, eating and spending time with friends. We loved our time on board.. when I can't sleep at night, I travel back to those magical days and I drift away. For me, at 59 yrs old, this was a trip of a lifetime.( we traveled in September )

Amazing 3 night Experience
The highlight of the trip, without question, was the day trip we took, on my actual birthday, aboard Captain Ergun’s charter boat (http://www.boattripturkey.com). Although I knew we were going to Ka?, I had no idea that my wife had booked the trip; it was a complete surprise, and what a great way to celebrate my 30th birthday.
We arrived at Ka? Harbour quite early and I was amazed by the service right from the off. Captain Ergun greeted us personally, and he and his crew were so welcoming, and made us all feel at home right away; he and the crew couldn’t do enough for us.
Our first stop was at Pigeon Island, I can’t remember the Turkish name (?), which was a pretty amazing setting in itself, but was also a great place to snorkel. Bizarrely, there is an underwater stone sculpture of a shark in the water, which was not something that I thought I would ever see.
The emphasis of the day was on relaxation, which was exactly how I wanted to spend my birthday. We made a few stops, en route to the islands, which gave us plenty of time to get the on-board toys out. The snorkelling was great, but Captain Ergun also let us use his underwater camera, so we have some great underwater birthday shots, and the Sea Scooter was pretty cool too.
After a few hours of playing around, we set off for the Islands, there are 12 in total, and I got to see a real shipwreck, for the first time, as well as swim through an underwater canyon.
After all that swimming, we were all pretty tired, so lunch time was a welcome occasion. The head chef was actually Captain Ergun’s wife, and the food she had whipped up was astounding! There were Turkish mezes, grilled kebabs, and all sorts of fantastic things to try. As it was my birthday, Captain Ergun even had a complimentary cake and a bottle of champagne; it was the perfect birthday lunch, in an unforgettable setting.
Once the food had gone down, and it took a while, we headed for Limana?z? Koyu', for a few hours on dry land, to check out the ancient tombs, before moving on to Büyük Çak?l beach, where we soaked in some last minute sun, and enjoyed some fruit and tea, before heading back to Ka?.
I would highly recommend booking a day trip with Boat Trip Turkey. Although my wife did all the arranging, she tells me that their customer service was first rate, and they were always on hand to answer any questions. She also didn’t ask for the birthday cake and champagne.
