We had a very enjoyable stay at this apartment. It was a good location for us - very close to our granddaughter's school, Universita Pompeu Fabra, and also close to Sagrada Familia and other wonderful Barcelona sights. It was very easy to get around from there. Cathrin was helpful and responsive. The apartment was spacious and comfortable. Alert to future guests - Access requires an app to open the doors, and the washer/dryer doesn't open for a long time after it stops. Overall, this is a great place to stay.

My 22 year old daughter and I stayed here for 4 nights in early Feb. Great location for jumping off to see the sites. The metro is very near by and from there you can get everywhere. The apartment has everything you need and nothing you dont. easy peasy

We enjoyed the property. Beds were comfortable. Three bedrooms were great. Amenities very good! Only downsides were 1 bathroom and don’t overload the elevator. Host was easy to reach. Would definitely stay again!

Our family of 5 (2 adults, 3 teenagers) stayed in Barcelona at Cathrins apartment! The space was clean and had everything we needed and more! Very well equipped! The location was fantastic. We walked everywhere, saw all the sites, great food all around! Cathrin was so helpful answering all our questions and replied super fast. I would highly recommend staying here and would definitely come back!

Nice apt with 3 bedrooms, great air conditioning in every bedroom, well designed kitchen and bathroom and easy to use washer and dryer. Elevator appreciated as well. Good location. Responsive apt manager.

We stayed here for 4 nights. Communication was good, checking in was easy and very good instructions were given for everything. My main criteria was clean and safe and this apartment was both. It is very handy to many things, easy to pick up groceries, etc, lots of place to eat nearby and close to many key areas in the city. The accommodations were comfortable. It is a renovated older building with lots of character and charm. We would recommend to anyone that is looking for something in Barcelona.

We absolutely loved our Barcelona apartment. My husband and I were traveling with our two friends and his mother and Cathrin's place was the perfect fit. It was clean with modern decor and ample linens. The location was ideal for us. We could easily walk to the metro and we were just 3 blocks from the Sangrada Familia. Cathrin was a wonderful host. She was very responsive & a great communicator. I hope we get the opportunity to return to Barcelona and stay longer!

Cathrin was a dream to deal with, responded promptly to every question and provided help on taxis etc. The apartment was easy to find and access, was exactly as described on the web site, very clean and well equipped, beautiful old building with modern facilities in a great central location. Would have no problem staying again or recommending to others.

Apartment comfortably sleeps 6 with good kitchen space, bathroom and social area. Modern kitchen appliances though low quality cooking equipment. Quiet location for central city location. Lots of small shops (bakery, meat, fruit/vegetable) nearby along with super market, hardware and pharmacy all in walking distance. Easy walk to metro and Sagrada Familia. Lack of furnishings in social area moderate drawback ( one convertible couch and TV theoretically for 6 to share). Minimal stocking of routine paper/ cleaning items and lack of instructions for appliances unfortunate ( no paper towel, toilet paper, garbage bags or laundry detergent). But if major use of this rental is just as home base to go out into city, these may not be as important. We stayed in hot humid summer and air conditioning very good in all areas though loud for sleeping at night. Lots of closet space in bedrooms. Minimal bedroom lighting and other furnishings. Owner very accessible and flexible to address questions and needs. We used online internet manuals to address questions for working kitchen appliances.

Less than 10 minuets walk to Sagrada Família. Clean apartment. And all facilities are working and in good condition.

We really enjoyed our stay here. The location was great, the place was clean, and Cathrin made sure we were greeted upon our arrival. She did a great job communicating with us and making sure our needs were met. She even arranged a taxi to the airport for us at the end of our stay. One suggestion I would add that another place we stayed at had was a sheet with instructions on how to use some of the appliances. Since we are from the US we were unfamiliar with the European washer/dryer and microwave oven operations (but were able to find manuals on the internet). Overall, it was a great experience!

The property is well kept and in a fantastic location - we were able to walk everywhere we wanted to go. The apartment is roomy and there is plenty of space. The innovative access opening is brilliant too. Cathrin is a great host. Easy and quick to communicate with and was flexible with letting me check in a little early. Can't recommend highly enough.

Very well located 4 blocks from Sagrada Familia and a block from a metro station. Beds very comfortable and yes, the rain shower is wonderful. Kitchen well-equipped. There's a small market across the street and one down the block with delicious fruit and vegetables. Also, there's a patisserie down the street. Cathrin was easy to communicate with and happy to help in any way. We would definitely use it on another trip. For info though, the building has an interesting layout with 'half floors.' This just means the elevator lets you out 9 steps above or below the apartment entrance. So, if you're handicapped, it isn't for you.

What a lovely apartment! It has 3 comfy beds, a large, modern bathroom with a terrific shower. The air conditioning was quiet and very effective. There was no street noise at night - very easy to sleep. Nice kitchen, good location near Sagrada Familia. Catherin was a perfect hostess. Perfect spot for a week in lovely Barcelona!

This is a comfortable, clean, quiet, nicely decorated apartment, with modern appliances and fixtures, in a beautiful building and a good neighborhood. It looks just like in the pictures. We had only three people and it was very spacious for us. I think it would be great for a family of up to 5 people -- more would fit, but you'd have to fight over the one bathroom. Wifi, showers and A/C all work very well, although the air conditioners make a bit of a grinding noise every 15-20 minutes that is enough to wake up a very light sleeper (I had ear plugs). It's a 3-minute walk to La Sagrada Familia and about 15 minutes to the Bari Gotic or main part of L'Eixample. Cathrin is very nice and excellent with communication, answering every email almost instantly. We happened to be there during the attack at Las Ramblas and she checked in on us several times, offering help of any kind. Very sweet. Fortunately, we didn't need any. My only real complaint is that the amount the apartment was listed for is very different from what we wound up paying. The original listing was for $163 per night. We were there in high season, so once I plugged in my dates, it went up by $11/night, which I expected. I also knew there would be a cleaning fee and some taxes, so expected to pay about $200/night. The cleaning fee wound up being $72, plus $36 for "linens" ($12/person), plus taxes. The total wound up being more than $250/night, more than 50% higher than what the listing originally showed! I expect to pay a cleaning fee, but this one was more than double what I paid elsewhere in Spain for similar-sized apartments; and, I have no idea what the "linen" fee is really for. I've never paid that for any other HomeAway or AirB&B listing. The linens were nothing special. In fact, the beds didn't even have a top sheet. If you're staying longer (we were only there two nights) or have more people, these fees will leverage out, but just be aware the amount you pay could be significantly higher than what's shown in the listing.

Our family stayed in Catherin's apartment. We have two teenage boys and they were very comfortable. They would have hoped for a little faster wifi, but then I don't know if you can please them because they are data hogs. Watching videos and the like. Worked just spiffy for my husband and I. The apartment is easy walking distance to Sagrada Familia. We walked to a number of the tourist spots. We found Barcelona very walk able. We also used the metro (subway) super easy from the apartment. There are a number of groceries stores in close proximity. Overall we would stay there again.

The apartment was very spacious and clean. It's also in a great location if you want to get away from all the noise and traffic of the highly touristic areas. It's very close to a metro stop so getting around was super easy! We enjoyed staying here and would stay again.

From making the reservation to check-out and return of the deposit, we had an excellent experience with Ms. Schroeder and her lovely apartment. She was responsive to all e-mails and her colleague was waiting for us in front of the apartment when we arrived from the airport and quickly got us settled. She also helped us arrange a taxi to the airport on our last day. The apartment was clean, the bathroom spacious, and it faces an interior courtyard so is quiet for when you're ready to sleep. Taxis can easily be found just outside the apartment, the metro is one block away, there is a meat & cheese shop and a bakery just across the street, a proper supermarket up the street, and a Spanish restaurant (Nogal) on the cross street for when you're too tired to venture far for dinner. Sagrada Familia is just a 4 block walk from the apartment, straight up Carrer de Sardenya. We were a party of 3 and we could've accommodated another 2-3 people. Wifi worked fine and I would recommend loading the WhatsApp app prior to arrival as it was the easiest form of communicating with our hostess.

Lovely spacious apartment, recently refurbished. Gorgeous old building in Exiample area, less than 10 mins walk to Sagrada Familia, and City tour bus stop. Only about 25/30 mins walk to Las Rambla. Great bakery and Supermarket very close and a couple of restaurants right next door to the apartment. Only one shower, but 6 adults managed absolutely fine, plently of hot water. Would definitely recommend.
