The instant I arrived I knew there was a problem. I never met the landlord or owner face-to-face, but there was a housekeeper there doing a poor cleaning job. The place was filthy and smelled very bad. Cleaner told me a dog had lived in the house just before my arrival and made messes inside house. I called landlord to complain and he told cleaner to rewash kitchen floor. The sofa in Livingroom was stained and some cushion covers were missing. The heater did not work well and the weather was very cold for he month I was there. The TV did not work and the landlord mailed new batteries that helped. The gardener only came to blow around the leaves that covered the grounds. He never removed the leaves. The photos online look nothing like the actual place, and I would have cancelled immediately but had no choice as I had important meetings at UCLA Hospital and there was no time to find a new place. I had flown in to Los Angeles directly from Japan and took a taxi to the location I was forced to keep this place for the month because I paid in advance. It cost me $5,500 total, which was about 90% over-charged from what I received. My advice is never, ever stay there. It was a dirty, poorly maintained pit and not worthy of the overall neighborhood.

Perfectly located
This property was perfect for our stay in the area! It truly was centrally located for everything that we had plan for our trip! It was awesome to have a parking spot for the rental and that it was behind a gate and not have to be left out of the street. The Property manger left us some snacks and breakfast items which came in handy since we arrived later than expected and was not able to pick up a few things. Communication with the property owner was easy and they were very quick to respond! We would return to this property in any future stays

Check in was a breeze and there was always good communication. We absolutely loved the location and space! Enjoying the evening breeze with the sliding glass doors open was our favorite:)

We stayed here for my husbands bday weekend just to get out of town and hang out in LA. As luck would have it, it was gloomy and cold the whole time - oh well! The place is clean, has good water pressure, hot water, a comfy bed, and is surprisingly quiet even though you're off a busy street. Just a few suggestions: I'd recommend slippers or something as the tile gets very cold (I'm always cold, but luckily i had socks i could wear), there wasnt a heater that we found so it got a little chilly inside. Being that there is no separation from the bathroom to the rest of the unit, when one of us would shower, the heat/steam from that helped warm up the place. There was plenty of clothing space & hangers available for us to use. We had brought our dog with us and while the backyard is pretty dog friendly, the only thing we were concerned about was the gate opening to the street (in case owners wanted to leave at any time), so one of us would be out there with her - which is tough when it was so cold out & she wanted to check out the new smells! Kitchen was very functional and had everything we needed. Kai & his wife were incredibly nice, he even helped us look for my husbands wallet when we thought he lost it. They're very quiet people, didnt disturb us or anything, they pretty much had their own schedule. The street is pretty busy though - parking can be tough but Kai let us borrow the clicker to park in the driveway which made things 100x easier. The way going to Sherman oaks is very windy, the side going to Beverly hills not so much. All in all we had a great weekend! I wish it wouldve been warmer for us but I guess we'll have to come back!

Great price, great stay.
If you’re looking for something out of the way but short drive to all the attractions, this is your place.
First off let me say the owners are very friendly and welcoming. They keep to themselves but will pop their heads out to say good morning :) . Very accommodating.
Second, the Bungalow is a perfect size for couples or a small family (2little ones or one teenager). Very private, it shares a common court yard area with the main house. Beautiful well planted court yard with comfy hammocks. I love the soaking tub. The bed was perfect for me, a little stiff with a comfy memory foam top. It has all the amenities you could ask for, full kitchen, closed off toilet, nice tub with a shower, large bed (that could even fit my 6’ 3” hubby).
Third, if you’re not use to parking in California, parking is a bit tough. I never had an issue with it though. In the hills (where it’s located) you have to park on the street, avoiding parking in front of mailboxes and driveways. Almost the entire time we were able to park right near the property.
If you’re looking for something quaint, reasonably priced and something near the touristy stops, THIS IS YOUR PLACE. Venice beach was 15-20 min drive with traffic. Universal studios was maybe a 25 minute drive. Hollywood BLVD and Sunset Blvd was about 15-20 minute (only do to traffic on the BLVD)
THANKS AGAIN KAI!!!

UCLA visit
Clean and comfortable for up to 3 people. (King bed plus couch) The shower is a big problem if you’re not agile. Very difficult to climb in and out of that tub and no privacy. There is no door or room divider. The host was very responsive and patient with my questions. The patio is very nice and the humming birds were interesting. No problem with parking right out front.
