A cost homestay with a family feel, run by the kindest people! The mother of the family willingly stayed up until after 1am for my arrival as my bus was running late. They have full or half day trips available on the backwaters with a local agency which was also really worthwhile. The room and bathroom were clean and had fans to manage the heat and insects you find in Kerala.

The host was lovely, very kind and welcoming. Our room was small but sufficient for the low price. We were placed in the centre of town so very handy but it was very quiet.

The beach was a stone throw away from the beach homestay. It was clean and quiet.
The backwaters on the boat was an incredible experience. Absolute luxury, beautiful scenery, amazing birds. Wonderful food and staff.

The place is a little of from the main beach and there are a bunch of nice cafes and restaurants around. The hosts where also very sweet.
The room had a bathroom attached but the sink was in the hallway. Small loss for the great price though.

Recommended place for breakfast “Breakfast Village” and Catamaran for dinner. Both of them few meters from home.

The room is basic but clean and has a fan. The bathroom does not have a sink but there are a couple right outside. The room is great value for money and the WiFi worked amazingly for zoom calls, as I work from home. The hosts were so lovely and helped us book trips in Alleppey. Nice location near a great sea view restaurant.
Location is not central but easily accessible by rickshaw. No sink in the room but this is really no problem.

Close to beach, restaurants, local shops
Constant noise over loudspeakers from nearby temple. A few times the temple AND the church were BOTH broadcasting their music at the same time.

The hospitality and the cleanliness of the room and there were no mosquitoes around.
The safety of the compound was no gate and in front of the homestay there was beach sand. Not a firn ground.

The owners were super friendly!! And the son helped us book a taxi to the airport. The room was clean and comfortable. The location was great.

Comfortable bed, quiet neighborhood, good wifi, and absolutely lovely family. They helped us organize a boat tour, offered us a much needed laundry service, and we're generally very kind and helpful.
No mosquito net on the window, but minimal mosquitos on the on the second story.

To feel at home while far away from home is the ideal goal of hospitality and at Rajatheeram Homestay we truly felt at home. We were welcomed by a lovely and caring family in a beautiful neighborhood, quiet and cool even without AC, clean and well equipped. Outstanding wifi speed and all together an outstanding stay.
