Great spaces for a large family. The pontoon boat was a special treat.

This was our third family lake vacation and I have to say this was the best by far. The house was beautiful, clean and accommodated our four families perfectly with all the separate areas. The house was well stocked with everything we needed. There is a room full of pool and lake toys and floats. Between the lake and the pool, the Grandkids were worn out by the end of the day. We rented the pontoon boat and enjoyed seeing other areas of the lake. Steven was great to work with. We had a couple minor issues, and he was right there to fix them. We do a lake vacation with the family every other year. This vacation home will definitely be at the top of our list for 2025!

We had a family get together celebrating 2 sisters 50th and 60th birthdays. 13 family members stayed at the house and I cannot say how understated the description of this house is. It exceeded all expectations and then some. We have been in many homes with this number of family members and we were all impressed and talking about returning in the future. The house was clean and very well equipt. There were so many details that did not go unnoticed by all of us. The kitchen had more than enough dishes, pans, and utensils along with a laundry room full of extras for use. Too many things to mention. The property itself was beautiful and well manicured with gorgeous outdoor furniture and plenty of seating for all of us. The pontoon boat was fantastic as well as the fire pit area. I highly recommend this home for a large group. We had a wonderful time in an environment that had it all!!!!!

Our entire family (10 adults, 6 children) had a wonderful week. The house was clean, fully stocked kitchen, beautiful pool, and so much space to spread out. We rented the boat and loved to cruise around the lake. Fishing from the dock, kayaking, and using the large float on the lake were enjoyed by the grandchildren and adults. The fire pit and gazebo were also favorite places to enjoy time together. This is a perfect home for a large family with things to do for all ages. The layout is unique with 5 bedrooms in the main building and 2 bedrooms accessible from the pool area. Both of these were connected by a large lounge area with a TV and comfy couches/chairs and a half bath. The sun porch off the kitchen had plenty of seating options for our whole family to eat together and enjoy the lake views. The grill is now on a huge deck off to the side of the house. I think in the pictures it is shown as being on a small porch coming out of the sun porch. That now has a table with 4 chairs on it. We choose different venues for our family vacation every year but this would definitely be a top choice to stay in again. Thanks for a memorable week!

Wonderful stay even with 4 days of rain. plenty of room. Well furnished. Thankful for generator with power out for 3 hours.

Fantastic stay. We have a large family with children ranging in age from 26-12, plus girlfriends. This lake house satisfied everyone. We also rented the pontoon boat which is a must. It literally felt like we were given the keys to a small hotel or retreat. Multiple rooms, all with bathrooms, multiple living rooms and gathering areas of all types. Decks, TV rooms, dining areas, a pool, and a dock! Not a lot to do in the vicinity but once you step through the “Welcome to the Lake” gateway you will want to stay. Downtown Charlotte is a short drive away if you want it but you will feel far far away here.

Our family had the best time at this house. We loved the separate suite for the grandparents who had a different sleep schedule. The separate space was also perfect and quiet for our toddlers naps. This house had everything! We have never stayed somewhere that had all the appliances, dishes, storage containers, utensils that you need. Everything was included and it made packing and our arrival much simpler. We rented the boat and enjoyed a sunset cruise every night and several trips to Papa Docs for lunch, drinks and dessert. We enjoyed lounging by the pool at all hours of the day with the beautiful outdoor lights and the relaxing fire pit. We also spent many hours fishing off the dock and swimming in the lake. We couldn’t have asked for a more perfect experience in this house. Loved every minute.

Great location, right on the lake with a pontoon boat. Close to CLT airport. Well equipped kitchen. Great BBQ.

A beautiful spacious, well laid out large home that was perfect for us 6 siblings with our spouses. We spent mornings going for long walks in the wooded neighborhood, swimming in the pool and taking leisurely boat rides along the river in the rented pontoon in the afternoon. Evenings were enjoyed around one of the 2 available gas fire pits where there is plenty of seating, as well as playing cards in the massive game room area off the pool. A perfect spot for a 4 day familym reunion!

We loved our stay and the property. The home itself is comfortable, spacious, and has great character. The setting on the lake cannot be beat, and the pool, deck, firepit, pontoon boat... they all made for a fantastic stay. The only area for improvement would be glassware/drink ware... could use many more wine glasses for larger groups, as well as a better variety or/quality of coffee mugs. But these are minor issues. We loved our stay!

Four grandparents, four sets of parents and six children 8 to 2, it was a perfect set up for all; separate family spaces, heated pool with lots of toys, well-equipped kitchen, abundance of towels and pillows, separate outdoor hang-out areas, beautiful location right on the water (kayaks and canoe were very appreciated), gorgeous sunrise/sunsets! We were lucky to have ideal weather and were close enough for a day trip to Carowinds Park. We would love to return!

We absolutely loved this vacation rental. It was more house than our family needed for sure but it did come in handy due to horrible weather conditions. It offered quiet space for everyone AND a great party/event/rec room for the children to get the wiggles out! Highly recommended!

What a great property! Well worth the stay, the only bad thing to deal with was the fact we had to leave! I highly recommend this place.

I love that they turned this B&B into a rental place. Most of the bedrooms are separated from each other, almost all the rooms are neither next to or above or below another room (except the one room that shares a bathroom, which is more for a set of parents and kids). The house is very close to the airport, so it was easy to shuttle our extended family back and forth. Our group of 13 was able to spend time together, but also get away from each other when needed. We stayed in the winter, but would love to try this place in the summer time.

We loved the layout of this property for a multi generational family weekend. Charming, unique, spacious, and well maintained. Can’t wait to go back!

We had a great time staying at this gorgeous vila. It was the perfect option for a large business trip. Everyone had room to work as well as a private area to rest. This house has tons of charm and a gorgeous view! Very peaceful! Steven was wonderful to work with. We will be looking to stay here again next time we are in the area!

This is the second time staying at this outstanding lake house. Our group of retired friends love the atmosphere and the quiet setting on Lake Wylie. In addition the house is always clean and has all the amenities needed for a 3 day weekend of fun, food and fellowship. Steve is very responsive and fair. We will definitely be coming back to visit this great getaway hideout!!

All of us adult siblings and their spouses stayed at this property (12) in total. We had plenty of room. The house and location was more than expected. We had a great time. We will definitely be back Thanks Steven

House located on a cove off of Lake Wiley. Very quiet and secluded. Spectacular view of fall foliage across the channel. The house had all the amenities needed for a family weekend getaway. We highly recommend this place to any group who wants some down time or those who might want to throw down a few cold BEvERages on college game day!

We found the house clean & everything as advertised. We did have 3 questions during our stay, Steve was quick to get back to us. We loved having the Pontoon available & took advantage of day trips with 2 late lunches at restaurants with boat dockings. Spent a lot of time in the pool but a few did have trouble getting out without a handrail. Will return.

Overall, the location is great - right on the lake with sunset views in August. The saltwater pool and deck area are a good size and easily accommodated the 14 adults on this trip. As some have stated, the house is quirky. The main house can only be accessed if you're in the main house. Occupants of the owner's suite and pool bedroom have to walk outside to access the main house. The kitchen was nicely appointed, but could use another refrigerator in the washer/dryer area (off the kitchen) to go along with the freezer that is there. There is a refrigerator in the owner's suite, but it isn't very convenient for meal prep.

Our goal for this vacation was to celebrate our 30th anniversary by spending time together with our growing family. The house was perfect for our large family (14 total). It was unique in that we had privacy for the couples with young children, while also giving us room to gather as a group. The pool was a great experience for the young children as well as our older kids. We rented the pontoon boat, and my husband's favorite part of the trip was being able to go out whenever he wanted. He was out on the boat every day, and we all enjoyed exploring the area from the boat. Steve was responsive to our comments and questions, and made it easy for us to check in and make ourselves at home. There are lots of extra items added, like toilet paper, paper towels, many condiments and spices, etc. It made cooking meals a lot easier. We all had a great time reconnecting as a family and made wonderful memories together.

Our extended family with four family units had a wonderful week enjoying the many pool toys and activities in the lake. We rented the pontoon and had many lovely trips around the lake. The house was perfect to allow our individual families their own space but also for all being together. Well equipped with everything and more that we needed. Steven was very prompt and helpful with our questions and requests before and during our stay. This was the best VRBO experience we have had- we would love to come back!

A very large older home with nice updates and some interesting quirks. My family enjoyed staying here and had a wonderful time. Steve was a great host and provides a bunch of amenities not discussed in his write up. Main house entrance is far left by the welcome to the lake sign. It enters to the living room. 2 bedrooms to the right back corner - queen with small tub/shower, and queen with small standup shower. Stairs going up to 2nd floor with the twin/trundle room and huge master. Both share a large bathroom off the hallway with a 1 person soaking tub, and large shower and Hand painted vaulted ceilings. The kitchen is ok sized and is fully stocked. Lots of Tupperware, a Keurig with k-cups provided, a drip coffee pot, pots/pans, cozies, condiments, etc. There is a long sunroom with a large high top table and a small 4 person round table. There is a deck off this room that has a massive 5 burner weber grill with natural gas hookup (never run out of gas!). There is also a utility room with washer/dryer, 2 large coolers and a separate freezer. Stairs lead down to the basement with another family room and a queen with an extra couch and a stand up shower. That is the end of the main portion of the house. There is a middle section of the house that you have to access via the front or the pool area. This is a large area with a tv and high top table. Lots of seating, a wine fridge and a separate icemaker machine, small half bath. To the front there is a covered patio with tables/chairs and a firepit table. From the pool area there is the room under the apartment with a queen a full bath. Only access to room is via the pool area. Up the stairs by the pool there is a separate apartment area with kitchenette, full fridge, small beer fridge a queen and bathroom with clawfoot tub. There are mirrors running the length of the bathroom sloped walls that make for some interesting views. The apartment is on the right side of the building and has a front/rear entrance. The small house in the photos is just for show - it is not the apartment. We rented the 21' 10 person pontoon for the week and it was great. Well maintained and full of gas. There were 2 kayaks on the property to use, they have a whole separate room full of floats, games, a big floating mat for the lake, etc. They even had cornhole boards. On the negative side the walk from the lake to the house can get tiring. But that didnt stop the kids.

Overall experience was great. Owner extremely responsive and helpful. Great house with several quiet places to "hide ". Would definitely stay again.

We all enjoyed our time this past week. Well-appointed kitchen and grill. Enough space for all of us. Enjoyed the pool and the dock area. We booked the same week for 2023!

We loved this house and we’re sad same week not available next year. Worked great for multiple families as it feels like everyone has their own space (and bathrooms) plus plenty of shared space! The house isn’t contiguous so lots of stepping outside from one part of house into next part of house but no one younger than 14 so this wasn't an issue for us. Hot week so pool was a great escape. Found nice cycling routes right from house. Neat trail park for mtn biking a few miles away, and food store and outlets 6 miles from house.

We enjoyed our stay immensely and I can definitely see us returning for another family vacation.
