Overall very nice. Plenty of room for boats and trailers. The only thing that needs improvement is the shower.

Nice house, but for the price, would be nice to be able to shower. Not enough hot water for bath, let alone multiple baths.

My family and I had a nice stay at this cabin. The bathroom situation is awkward without a true shower. Great location. Owner was nice and prompt with responding.

Cute property and close to everything we wanted to explore around Seward. Even had mama and baby moose wander through the yard one day.

This is a wonderful cabin nestled in the woods with a path to a river beach! Really the Alaska spirit. Easy access by car to Seward which has so much to offer. We did a day boat sightseeing with glacier kayaking with Sunny Cove Kayaking who are really good (small groups but NO flexibility in date change). Just be ware that the loft area (beautiful view to mountain) is accessed by a “ladder”, meaning the steps are very short and probably not appropriate for folks with mobility issues), we just took the steps slowly and it was ok. We would definitely stay at this cabin again and 5 night seemed too short! The owner and manager are responsive to communication and the process was smooth. Highly recommended. You won’t be sorry!

This is a beautiful cabin in the woods! It was well stocked with everything we needed and more in the kitchen, with thoughtful details like kitchen necessities (oil, salt, pepper, spices, coffee) and basic home goods (laundry detergent, dishwasher detergent and soap) provided. The owner was very kind and considerate during our stay when needing to access the exterior of the property. He went above and beyond to make our stay special, which was much appreciated.

We enjoyed our 3 nights here very much! Felt like we were in the remote back woods, but in reality weren't far from downtown Seward. The cabin has everything you would need and we wish we could have stayed longer. If we are ever in seward again, we'll definitely be back! If you are sensitive to light at night, bring a sleeping masks

We stayed at the cabin and spent the days kayaking and hiking. The house is lovely with a great location, and Al though the shower configuration is a little awkward, all the other elements of the home were great and we would choose it again.

Family of four all enjoyed our 3-night stay in the cabin. Cabin had everything we needed and Bruce was a great host. Would stay here again on next trip!

Bruce was a great host. The location was absolutely perfect for our stay, which was heavily focused around Seward. We were minutes from town for convenience, but the cabin provides the feel of being deep in the woods - including your own view of the mountains and creek. I would highly recommend staying here.

Bruce was very quick to help when we realized we didn't have propane for the BBQ, he came out right away with a replacement for us. The only thing that surprised me a bit was the staircase to the loft was quite steep, just in case you have very young kids or older people, it's good to know. Otherwise we really enjoyed our stay.

Had a wonderful stay here. Cabin is pretty much brand new. It's equipped with everything we needed. Nothing broken or out of order. It's beautifully decorated. There's a trail in back that leads to a running stream which is nice. This place is someone's pride and joy and it shows. You will enjoy your stay here.

Interesting unique cabin experience in great location.

We enjoyed our stay at Bruce’s place. The gift basket was a nice touch. Bruce even dropped off some bottled water on the second day for us to enjoy! The stand alone shower took us a bit to get used to, but it was quite comfortable. While listed as 2 bedroom, there aren’t actually any doors or bedrooms, but the sleeping spaces are lovely and spacious, and there’s extra beds to fit more people. We noticed a hot tub was part of the listing, but that wasn’t there. No need though, there’s plenty to enjoy in Seward and around the area! We had a nice stay.

This Is a review and message to regarding a VRBO rental that I reserved in Seward Alaska, for the period June 11-14, 2019. There are several major issues that caused our dissatisfaction with this rental. First, we did NOT stay at the property, since at our arrival it was NOT cleaned, the upstairs bed was not made, and there were no sheets to make it even if we wanted to . A person meeting us at check in was quite helpful, but told us that the upstairs hadn’t been cleaned by the person hired to do that the day before. It was not prepared for our visit properly at our arrival. More important, the property is clearly advertised to have “2 Bedrooms”. This is patently false advertising. The normal definition of a bedroom is that it has four walls and a door, with a bed inside. This home not only doesn’t have two bedrooms, it doesn’t even have one bedroom. It has NO bedrooms. It has two double beds, both in open plan spaces with no privacy. One is in the loft and another downstairs in the main open space. The only room with walls and privacy is the bathroom. It is downstairs and a couple sleeping upstairs must descend the VERY STEEP and downright dangerous stairs. Also the house required a three day minimum for rental. This would have been fine if there WERE two bedrooms, but there aren’t. So we did not stay at this rental and made other arrangements. Our party was two 70+ year old couples who needed bedrooms as advertised. We were wholly dissatisfied with what we found. We paid for something we did not GET. The owner advertised the house as something it is NOT: a two bedroom house. That’s what I thought I had rented, but it was not a two bedroom house. With much dissatisfaction. R Seifert
