Our family has a home right around the corner and this was a perfect space to have as extra living space. The home is well stocked and clean. We would definitely stay again and maybe in the summer to enjoy the backyard.

We loved our stay at this adorable cottage in Lakeside. The cottage and grounds are so charming, the kitchen was well equipped and we made good use of the bikes. Would definitely stay here again!

The Lakeside Cottage is cozy, clean and so very comfortable. It was very chilly the week we were here so we weren't able to go to the beach, but there were plenty of activities nearby to keep the whole family engaged and happy. We brought our lab and had a great time taking long walks with her. Bill, the owner, was excellent to communicate with and when the power went out the first night was very responsive and helpful. A great place to stay! Thanks, Bill!

Very cute cottage. Just wish it was 10 minute walk to true beaches. Closest beach was very, very small and we had to pass a home with a high pitched alarm system always going off. Not loud but audible and not very welcoming. Not much owner, Bill, can do about that!
Highly recommend Black Currant Bakehouse in Union Pier! Lakeshore drive is a great road for biking and walking. Lots of big trees and beautiful homes too.

This cottage was so spacious and peaceful.
There is only 1 bathroom, but it is very spacious.
The grounds and "hangout"bonus cottage in the back was a great plus.
We love this area and its super close to the State Park! Beautiful weather!

We were thrilled to find a dog friendly property with close beach access. The house was great-totally as advertised. It was really cute, and nicely appointed. It was very clean. It had a nice homey feel. It had a lot of space-so much so, we could have been a larger group. It was warm enough to enjoy the screened in porch, which an added bonus. We only wish we had more time.

This was such a perfect place to stay with our extended family. We had five adults staying (two couples plus a parent), plus two dogs.
It was such a comfortable home base for exploring all of the beautiful nature nearby.
It had everything we needed to cook and stay in, but also nice dining options nearby. We had so much fun getting to spend time as a family over the holidays, and this was a great place to do it.

The property was exactly as promised, and communication with the host was amazing (Bill was super helpful). The location was great - right half way in between most of the stuff we wanted to do, all within 15 minutes.

A real gem! Spacious inside and out, uniquely landscaped garden/yard including an outdoor screened in building that was huge and a treat to hang out in and take in nature from the indoors. Plenty of restaurants, breweries, nature, lake activities all nearby.

Great location, Great Yard, Cute Place!
This place is a definite find - with the awesome yard, summer house and location, we will be booking again! Only downside is one bathroom, but it makes up for it in all other ways.

Appreciated the trash bags, dishwasher tablets, paper towels, etc. Bedding was very comfortable and there were plenty of towels. Fenced in porch, fire pit, and outdoor spaces were perfect. Location is outside of town (which we prefer with little kids), but everything was easy to get to. Nice quiet street.

Property was as advertized, plenty of space if cottage in back of property is needed. Easy to check in & out and owner was available for any issues. We had a nice stay.

Great pick, good price
The Mountford property was lovely and just the right size for the five of us and our two pups. Well-stocked, well-decorated, with lovely front screened porch and extra cabin in the back. Easy access to several public beaches, and the main highway to New Buffalo and other nearby towns.

This is the perfect old school MI beach house. Just the right amount of room with modern and classic amenities. Appreciated the large lot and garden, screened in summer house, and the access to bicycles. Thank you!

The cabin was a wonderful summer spot! We felt right at home as soon as we got there! The only reason I gave a 4 for "Accuracy of Listing" is that the beach in walking distance wasn't usable which was a large reason why we chose the location. Bill, however, was up front with letting us know this and the situation was completely out of his control. I'm glad we still chose to go to this spot because it was wonderful. Hopefully next time we visit, the beach will be back to it's normal self and it would be ABSOLUTELY perfect!

The detached summer cottage was incredible for adults to enjoy an evening with a sleeping baby. There was so much room and interest for just puttering around the property and neighborhood. House had everything. Experience was unforgettably perfect!

Absolutely loved our stay! Beautiful property with plenty of room to space out and unwind, and the cottage was cozy, charming and sweet. Wonderful neighborhood to walk around, and a quick shot to the beach lookout.
