Une merveille du milieu du siècle récemment rénové, entouré d'espaces de jardin et transats vous attend à Carmel-by-the-Sea, proche de tout et à l'écart des zones touristiques typiques dans un quartier calme.

2 chambres, 2 maison bain avec planchers en bois et des lignes épurées est ombragé par des chênes en direct et encadrée par des plantes grasses et pelouse. Au sein, il offre une décoration sophistiquée cottage renforcée par blanchies à la chaux poutres ouvert, planchers de bois franc et cheminée en pierre Carmel originale de la maison. Une terrasse avec des meubles de patio confortables et des clôtures d'intimité ajoutent au cadre serein.

C’est à seulement 10 minutes à pied des boutiques et des restaurants du centre-ville de Carmel, ou à quelques minutes en voiture de la plage. Il est également situé à 10 minutes des attractions locales comme le golf et le tourisme à Pebble Beach, maisons victoriennes vintage et papillons monarque à Pacific Grove, ou à l'historique Cannery Row et le Monterey Bay Aquarium.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: It was a great location for walking to town and the beach. A bit of a hike uphill but we enjoyed it. It was nice to get out of the heat during the summer and there was plenty to do.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had a great time in July. The house was beautifully remodeled and well stocked. The area was quiet and convenient to highway 1. Our only suggestions relate to the bedrooms. Both have very sheer curtains which make for early mornings as the sun beams in. The beds are also very worn. We would recommend some room darkening and looking for a new mattress.

Interesting experience
There were pros and cons to this property. Cons: - the water was shut off when we arrived and took a few hours to be turned back on - the refrigerator malfunctioned, and wasn’t replaced for nearly 2 weeks (they did provide a dorm style refrigerator and did pay for our meals until the refrigerator was replaced) - the long term tenant staying on property passed away and we had individuals stop by and knock on the door of our unit multiple times - we had unidentified police stop by and shine flash lights into our unit late at night doing a “wellness check” on the property (very disconcerting in the moment as we didn’t know who was shining a light in our window) - we killed multiple spiders in the unit and there are spider webs all over the exterior - we did not receive the mid-stay cleaning we paid for (we’ve requested a refund for this, so far no refund) - there is no AC in the home and no fans are provided. If you stay here in summer it can get warm, so bring your own. Pros: - beautiful house with wonderful back patio area - walkable to grocery store (.8 miles) and 1.5 miles from the beach - interaction with the rental property staff was pleasant, even with the multiple issues - beds were comfortable and plenty of linens provided - bathrooms are nice and well supplied All in all, the house is beautiful but we ended up having so many issues that we left early.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The 1200-sqft interior of the property is updated, clean and functional, has a good flow, and is very pet friendly. Located 1 mile from town, it’s an easy walk into town (all downhill) but a more challenging walk for the return, a rise in elevation of 400 feet. We were a couple visiting Carmel for the entire month of September, with family members visiting every weekend. Four persons easily lived and moved about this two bedroom, two bath, cottage comfortably. We give the cottage a 5-star rating overall. As for negatives there were only two. First, there is a ton of kitchen accessories which left little room for food storage and second, there are two cottages on the property, not just one. Parking for the Belle Folie cottage is on the street. The driveway/carport adjoining the Belle Folie is assigned parking for the rear cottage. Parking and movement of the rear cottage vehicles was a distraction. As for Carmel itself, it's a perfect setting that has evolved into an overcrowded tourist town. But that’s the way with most things that start of perfect. Depending on time of day, and day of the week, the quaintness of Carmel can all but disappear. The combination of restaurants, wine bars, art galleries and hotel/motels is crowning out much of the quaintness. Vehicle parking in and near town is a nightmare. If one wine bar is good, 35 is better. If one hotel/motel is good, 100 is better, and so on. One thing that has not been allowed to creep into Carmel is the "corporate store". No Starbuck, only local coffee shops and bakeries. No fast-food establishments, only local restaurants. Maintaining the look and feel of a village remains a positive. Will we be back? Yes. Will it be for another extended stay? No. In future, a long non-holiday weekend is all we will need.
