Alfama 4 se situe au deusième étage, sans ascenseur, dans un immeuble de plus de 200 ans, entièrement rénové. La rénovation fut profonde et très soignée, dans un souci de récupération des matériaux anciens ou se trouve la noblesse du vieux bois et des éléments en pierre et en fer. La décoration est sobre avec un stylo rustique modern.
L´appartement pouvant accueillir comfortablement jusq´à 6 personnes est très spacieux et ouvert. Il se compose d´un grand salon avec un coin repas et d´une cuisine très bien equipée.
Il y a 3 chambres: le prémiere, une suite avec une salle de bains privée, lit doble (2 matelas); le deusiéme avec 2 lits single et la troisième avec 2 lits single superposé.
Une deusiéme salle de bains complete et un bacon exterirur complètent l´appartement.

As a 3 generation family we all enjoyed the space available with this apartment. The location was wonderful too. The only suggestion I might make is the need for a handrail for the stairs.

Overall this rental was amazing:
Communication was constant and easy - we had someone meet us at the flat to show us around and answer questions.
The living/dining area was comfortable, spacious, light and I loved the multiple big doors and windows that opened onto the balcony.
The newly reno'ed kitchen had everything we needed, including a dishwasher and washing machine.
The bedrooms were an awesome size and we all slept well on good mattresses and good quality sheets. Everyone had loads of great hanging and storage room for clothes.
The location was close to the Alfama district, so we could walk everywhere. It was also great to be able to tell taxi drivers to go to the Museu do Fado (well known landmark) and be just a few steps away from our flat. Right outside the door are two excellent restaurants.
The flat also felt very safe, with a locked front door as well as the door to our flat.
The ONLY reason I'm taking away one star is because of the ensuite bathroom smell. The first night there, I wasn't able to sleep in the primary bedroom because of the smell of sewage coming from the ensuite. The next day they sent someone to take care of it, and it was so much better. I hugely appreciated the housekeeping staff coming by to look after this for us on a Sunday. We were told that this is a seasonal tidal thing and beyond their control.

Mario, the PM,/Owner, was very helpful and communicative throughout the process. He was very accommodating, allowing for early check-in, and helping to secure an airport ride service.
The apartment is located in a nice area, with lots of nice little shops, restaurants, etc. There is no elevator, and lot of steep/tight stairs, so be prepared for this. One of us that stayed here uses a cane, so it was a bit of a challenge, but we got by pretty well.
Overall I would highly recommend this place and would certainly stay here again in the future.

Un appartement idéal en famille
Idéalement placé dans une jolie rue d’Alfama. Calme. L’appartement est très propre et parfaitement équipé avec tous les petits plus : machine à café à capsule, torchons, sac poubelles, gel douche, sèche cheveux…
Lumineux avec des fenêtres sur 3 côtés de l’immeuble.
Pas de télé… et c’est très bien ainsi.
Le wifi est performant.
Nous étions 2 parents, 4 enfants et adolescents.
Et en bonus un super restaurant (Solar 31 Alfama) a 10m de l’entrée.
Mario est lui aussi parfait pour les contacts avant l’arrivée et l’accueil.

Un piso amplio y con todas las comodidadess
Lo único que no nos gusto fueron las almohadas. Eran excesivamente finas, creo que deberían ser sustituidas. Por lo demás el piso es fantástico, el checkin con el profesional y la comunicación es fácil y amable y siempre a nuestra disposición, y aunque un ascensor estaría genial se entiende que en esa zona no es posible. Muy completo de menaje.

Un très joli appartement dans le quartier d'Alfama, à un quart d'heure à pied du centre ville.
Dans un ancienne maison de 3 étages, l'appartement est magnifique et spacieux, bien éclairé, équipé pour vivre comme à la maison. Aucun bruit de voisinage n'a troublé les 3 nuits de notre location (carnaval février 2020). On trouve tout le nécessaire alimentaire dans plusieurs petits commerces, dans la rue ou les rues voisines.
Un arrêt de bus est à moins de 5 minutes à pied, un arrêt du tram 28 à 5 min, le métro à moins de 10 minutes. En bref, je recommande chaudement cette location.

We were able to walk to many sites and all public transportation was very close by (metro, buses, trains). The apartment was very quiet and the beds were comfortable so we always got a good night's sleep.

Our family of four stayed here over the Chiristmas holidays and loved it. It is very spacious and as shown in the pictures. The location is excellent. We were able to walk to many sites and all public transportation was very close by (metro, buses, trains). The location and condition of the property was very good, with one exception. There is a plumbing issue in the master ensuite that resulted in a bad smell. In order to lessen the odour, we had to constantly run water in the sink or shower.

It was very good for 6 people. Somewhat warm with no air conditioner but when the windows were open there was a good breeze. We walked almost everywhere from the apt.

Comfortable, clean, well-appointed apartment in great location
Comfortably furnished apartment. Clean and well-appointed. Location is great, in Alfama, close to restaurants, fado bars and public transport.

Shame about the smelly drains
The place was very comfortable and looked good - it was convenient and clean, well equipped and nicely decorated. Unfortunately there was a bad smell from the drains in both bathrooms. There was an attempt to mask the smell with puffer deodorants but this, combined with the smell, was most unpleasant. I hope the problem can be remedied because otherwise, the place was fine.

Spacious spotless apartment
Home is exactly as pictured. Location is great, right in Alfama. The prop mgr, Mario, can be reached easily. Note: no air con - can get hot (keep the shutters closed during the day); up two flights (don't bring too heavy a bag). All in all, a truly great place to recommend. Thank you for a great stay!

Beautiful apartment close to everything
Apartment was perfect for our family of 5. Had two nice bathrooms and 3 spacious bedrooms. Super easy to check and out. So close to many small grocery stores and restaurants. Would definitely stay here again!

Modern conveniences in an old-fashioned neighborhood
We loved this roomy, spotless apartment. The apartment itself is a gem -- an old building that has been modernized in a way that highlights the original architecture. It has huge shuttered windows that look out onto Lisbon's famous clay tiled roofs on one side and onto the charming Rua Do Remedios on the other. It has all the modern conveniences and is well equipped for cooking and dining at home. And the neighborhood is lovely. It perhaps wouldn't be the best place for a stuffy suburbanite who is looking for a resort-like experience, but we were happy to be in the middle of the Alfama, with its maze of narrow streets and alleys, laundry lines and balcony gardens.

Efficient organisation. Quiet and comfortable. Ten minutes walk from the metro and near to lots of restaurants (though not too near).

Bright, spacious and good location
My family enjoyed staying with Mario. The flat was clean and spacious and had everything we needed. The space heaters came in handy. There was a small grocery store just downstairs and we cooked breakfast almost every morning. Bus and train stations were close by. Also lots of restaurants, although some we picked were not open due to off season. We would recommend having some small patio chairs and a small table for sitting outside on the deck.

Tout équipé , bien agencé, une pièce de vie principale lumineuse, pour se retrouver entre amis. Nous étions 5 adultes et nous avons passé d'excellents moments dans un appartement bien situé dans le quartier ALFAMA.

Excellent location- very comfortable
Spacious apartment with everything we needed. Location is very central (close to the Castle and Cathedral (but a bit of climb - Lisbon is the capital of 7 hills!) and walking distance to Praça Do Comercio). The large windows give lots of light. Small shop with all essentials just 2 or 3 houses away. Although well located, we had no street noise. Warm welcome by Mario.

Superb. Perfect situation, large, light and airy
Not sure which was better, the flat or the owners. Perfectly positioned the flat is extremely comfortable, very generously proportioned. Any shops and restaurants you need in the same street. Flat is very secure and quiet. Metro and small supermarket about 8 minutes. Owners extremely pleasant and helpful. i would strongly recommend using their transfer mario - very reliable and pleasant.
