Notre maison est parfaitement située à seulement 2 minutes à pied de la plage et est pratique pour faire du shopping, jouer au golf et pour de nombreuses autres activités passionnantes. Après une journée bien remplie à profiter des attractions locales ou une journée de farniente sur la plage, il est temps de vous détendre et de profiter du coucher de soleil sur le pont supérieur avec votre famille et vos amis. Une journée parfaite à Corolla!
Shades of Summer est notre belle maison de vacances familiale de 6 chambres, 6 salles de bain (4 complètes et 2 demi-pension) située dans la section E de Ocean Sands. Nous voulons que nos clients se sentent chez eux dès qu’ils franchissent le seuil de la porte. Nous nous efforçons de vous fournir tout le confort et les commodités que vous méritez.
Niveau 1:
Chambre avec salle de bain semi-privée (1 reine); salle de jeux avec table de billard et bar avec un réfrigérateur de la taille d'un bar; coin buanderie avec grand réfrigérateur.
Niveau 2:
Suite familiale avec salle de bain partagée (1 lit king avec accès au pont, 2 lits jumeaux); deux chambres (1 lit king avec accès au pont, 1 couchette Duo, 1 lit gigogne); salle de bain complète; demi bain; spa sur le pont arrière.
Niveau 3:
Chambre à coucher principale (1 lit king avec accès au pont) avec salle de bain privée et bain à remous; grande salle (1 canapé-lit Queen); cuisine avec comptoir en granit, deux lave-vaisselle; demi bain.
Extras:
Véranda couverte avec fauteuils à bascule, entrée sans clé, table de pique-nique, gril à gaz, deux réfrigérateurs et une douche extérieure fermée.

Our time at Shades of Summer was perfect from start to finish. The house was beautifully decorated, clean and had more than enough space for our clan of 12. We loved the floor plan and ALL the bathrooms. Our families fit nicely in the house and had a great time. The kitchen was stocked nicely with plenty of pots and plans as well as storage containers for leftovers. The huge dining room set was perfect for our gang too.
We noticed that because of humidity, sometimes the doors would not close all the way and we had to pull them shut and wait for the lock to engage. It’s wasn’t a big deal, just an observation.
We enjoyed the Corolla area and the beauty of the beach. We ate out a few nights and enjoyed Bernie Brothers and Cravings. Duck Donuts and Harris Teeter were right across the street so that was a few added bonuses.
We’d definitely recommend Todd and Joanna and their home to anyone looking to visit the Corolla area. Joanna was always prompt and extremely pleasant and helpful when I had questions.

House is in good condition. A few houses from the beach which was very convenient with a bunch of kids and beach toys, umbrellas, chairs, etc. The grocery store, ice cream shop and Duck Donuts right across the street. Walking/bike bath right around the corner. There is a nice view off of the back deck. We enjoyed our stay. Highly recommend Bob's Wild Horse tour. My only suggestion to the owner would be to update some of the old pans and add some plastic cups for kids in the cabinets. Communication was great and all of the directions for the house were well organized and easy to follow. If we go back to Corolla we would consider renting again.

We loved staying at this property in Corolla, half a block to the ocean, nature scape in the back, 6 beds, 6 bathrooms. This was great four 3 generations annul trip to the ocean and converted us from Delaware beach goers to already planning next years trip to OBX.

Our family of 14 enjoyed Shades of Summer! The large kitchen is well stocked as we cooked a ton. We love to gather for dinners and enjoyed having the huge dining table. Bedrooms are well decorated, and all enjoyed the hot tub and pool table. A short walk to the beach, the sunsets and sunrises were beautiful. Grocery stores within minutes of the house, always a plus. Their house information page was super helpful to know what to bring and what was provided. Would definitely stay again. Tod and Joanna are pleasant to work with, and always a quick response to any questions prior to and during our stay. Highly recommend for your family vacation!

The location and setup of this property was perfect for our children, grandchildren and ourselves. So much room and the view was phenomenal! Owners were great to work with- responsive to all inquiries. I would highly recommend!

Recently my family and I stayed at shades of summer and it was wonderful. We had 12 adults & 2 children & the house was perfect for us. The owners were wonderful with anything I contacted them about. Joanna especially considerate to us and very quick to respond. Close walk to the beach and plenty to do and see in town and nearby. Able to walk to grocery store and souvenir shop from the house. Seeing the wild horses on the beach & ghost crab hunting @ night with the children were two of my favorites . Only recommendation would be if you plan to go out to dinner, plan ahead & make reservations before you go. Otherwise very long waiting lines. Great house and I was so happy to be able to spend time there with my family.

Shades of summer was the perfect spot for our large family of 14. We had an extensive range of ages - 20 months - 85 years old and everyone was comfortable and happy. Communication with the hosts was easy and fast. I would definitely recommend the property looking for a fun family vacation!

Peaceful
Such a beautiful and peaceful property. This was our second year in a row staying here, and I wouldn’t want to stay anywhere else! The house is clean and up to date. It is close to the beach and to shops. We loved our week here!

Great vacation house!
Ocean Sands is an excellent vacation property. The house is beautiful with plenty of room for our group of 12. The kitchen is well-equipped, and we loved the BIG table with plenty of room for all of to eat together. The walk to the beach is short, and we loved that a grocery store is very close. The pool table in the game room provided lots of fun, and the game room itself served as an extra bedroom. It does not have an actual door, but is to the back, away from other rooms, so it worked great for a bedroom with a mattress we pulled from another room. If we vacation at Corolla in the future, we will definitely try to stay at Ocean Sands again!

We had a wonderful time this week at Shades of Summer! The layout of the house is perfect for big families to spread out and relax. The owners responded quickly to any questions we had and were incredibly helpful. The location is amazing, so close to a beautiful uncrowded beach. Highly recommend this property!!

Amazing house!
Beautiful house, very close to the beach, with walking paths and Harris Teeter across the street! Great location! The owners were great-communicative and helpful. The house was perfect for our 12 family members, as we had our own private spaces as well as large areas where we could all gather.
I highly recommend staying here, and we will most likely stay here again as well!!

Beach Vacation
Ideal location, walked to the beach every day, across the street from groceries and wild horse tour, Duck Donuts. The house was very clean amd had everything we needed. Pots and pans, beach chairs, puzzles and games, very nice furniture and comforts in every room!

We are on are way home from a great week in OBX staying here. The house was great for our family of ten; plenty of space. It was a short walk to the beach. The hot tub was nicely shaded by the upper deck. The owners were super helpful and responded quickly when we had questions before and during the stay.

Family getaway
We had a great week spending time together and enjoying being at the ocean. This home is wonderful and everything our group needed. The beach is excellent with plenty of space, and we loved going for walks each evening to watch the sunset and look for crabbies! This was our first visit to Corolla, and we look forward to visiting again and exploring more next year!

Shades of Summer was the perfect house for our family vacation! The location was great and convenient to the beach, grocery store, shopping, and restaurants. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed. Joanna kept us well informed and was readily available to answer any questions we had before and during our stay!

Great week at the beach!
We stayed at the house in mid-June 2020. It was exactly as advertised and the check-in and check-out process was very easy. Accessibility to the beach and to the necessities (Harris Teeter and all Corolla has to offer) cannot be beat! Thank you!

Great Family Reunion
Great place for our family reunion.
Home was clean and well furnished perhaps a little dated furniture but not dirty or in disrepair. The home had 5 recliners in the common living spaced which was great for our adults to sit back in the evening and enjoy our recap of the days events.
Kitchen and dining area was sized just right and contained all the cooking utensils needed to make our daily meals.
Very responsive homeowners who addressed every question we had about our stay.
Very close walk to the beach no difficulties accessing the beach.
The deck on the back of the house made watching the sunset a joy each night. Wide open view of the evening sky. There was a nice big BBQ grill on the deck for cooking evening meals.
Would stay again with no hesitation.

Beautiful house with views and sounds of the ocean and wildlife in the lot outside the deck
The house was beautiful with an easy walk to the beach. The kitchen was well stocked to cook for our 16 family members. The owner-Joanna was quick to respond to requests for more towels and adding another network when the WiFi wouldn’t work on the top floor. Quiet neighborhood within walking distance to grocery stores, ice cream and Duck Donuts. We loved our week there
