EVERYTHING about this property was exceptional. Secure property, great location and the doorman was very pleasant and available 24/7. Met all our expectations!! Will definitely stay here again.

The house is super clean and spacious. They have hot water. The property staff was very helpful. The property is in a great location. The mall and shopping centers were just a few blocks away.

The house is spacious, clean, and elegant, with modern equipped kitchen and big master bedroom that has a small balcony overlooking the pool (which is essentially a private pool even though it is technically shared with the other few houses in this tranquil gated courtyard development). Location is quiet, yet just 3 minutes walking to top-tier Buenavista Mall, cinema, and a wide range of restaurants, grocery store, retail, etc.. I didn't need a car, but there is a secure onsite parking garage underneath the development. It's very easy and dirt cheap to hail one of the authorized taxis that are always lined up in front of the mall. In Barranquilla, location doesn't get much better than this. The entire house property is surrounded by a high wall with a 24/7 doorman monitoring security. There are plenty of streetlights, friendly police, and it's safe to walk around the neighborhood at night. The beach is just 15-20 minutes away, which is the closest you'll find in Barranquilla. Also, property owner John Campo made himself proactively reachable around the clock to address any concerns I had and make sure my entire stay went smoothly. He's American, but with family roots in Colombia, so you won't encounter any "lost in translation" issues.

A couple days the house's water pressure dropped 50% during mid-day, but always restored in time for pre-dinner showers. For those who travel extensively in Latin America, these types of infrastructure hiccups just come along with the territory. Wifi, A/C, and electricity were all flawless throughout my entire stay. It's also nice that each of the 3 bedrooms (and downstairs living room) has its own dedicated new A/C unit with remote. Mattresses are good quality yet a little on the firm side, especially in the master bedroom, but all pillows/linens/towels were clean and newer. The master bedroom has a generous walk-in closet, and the other two bedrooms have spacious built-in wardrobe and nice wood cabinets. 2 full baths upstairs and half bath downstairs are very accommodating, even for larger families. Also, I wasn't there to watch TV, but each of the bedrooms and living room have newer 1080p flat screens (approx 45" each) with digital cable Colombian (Spanish) channels. Pack a Firestick, Apple TV, or Roku and you'll be streaming your favorite US sports games, news, Netflix all easily. I'll be staying there again for sure. Exceptional overall value.
