The house was comfy and well kept, it never felt cramped for the max group size. The seasonal room was perfect for large group indoor party games. We loved using the barn and lighting it up at night with all the string lights. The back patio has a nice gas grill for cooking larger meals. We recommend being careful eating at the picnic tables as they are a bit old. The kitchen had everything we needed to prep group dinners.
A new pool was being constructed during our stay, which wasn’t communicated to us until about a month out. The pool had missed its target date of completion due to construction delays so it remained unfinished. This also made parts of the backyard area a bit of a construction zone with some deep trenches that made walking to the creek a bit hazardous.
Another issue was no hot, warm or even cold water in the showers. Showers were freezing cold the entire duration of the stay and would not warm up even after waiting long durations.
Overall the property is very beautiful, the freezing showers and pool construction kept this property from being a perfect stay.

We really enjoyed this lovely farmhouse over Labor Day weekend the house is a lot more spacious than shown in the photos specifically the living room and the den there’s plenty of space to spread out and super comfortable, it feels extremely homely. The kitchen, bathroom, bedrooms everything is so well equipped from every single thing you may need in the kitchen to linens…couldn’t really ask for more. I could see how the water could be an issue however if one reads the description and the reviews there should be no surprises.

We had a group of 9 friends come up for a long weekend and had a great time! The house is more gorgeous in person than in the photos. The outdoor space and pool were perfect. The running water does have a strong sulfuric smell because it’s well water, which we we’re told about, but aside from the unpleasant smell it’s perfectly clean. We loved our stay and would definitely recommend!

This home was charming from the inside out! The property had plenty of space to spread out when needed and also gather for meals and activities (like swimming in the pool and playing tennis). This is a great place for family or friends to reconnect and spend quality time together. The Host was very responsive and transparent when I asked questions about the property as well.

This is the first negative review I have ever left on a rental site. I have used these sites extensively and have never had a bad experience. However after no response from the property owner I feel the need to write this review. Overall the land the property was on was lovely, however the house had several issues:
1. The most impactful issue was we did not have running water for day 2-4 of our trip. (4 day trip). We were aware that this was a house with well water (I have stayed out homes with well water many times) and that we would need to take pauses between showers/using a lot of water in order to give an opportunity for the well to replenish. However, there was definitely a greater issue here as starting on the second day we could not get the water to run more than a trickle. We were unable to shower, wash dishes, use the washing machine, and at times were unable to even flush the toilet. Even first thing in the morning after an entire night of not using water, it was barely a trickle out of the faucet. When I reached out to Pierre during the trip he told me we would need to wait a few hours and try again. We waited and had no success. This greatly impacted our trip.
2. The gas grill did not work. There was plenty of propane left but it would not ignite.
3. The pizza oven which is listed in the pictures must not have been opened in 10 years. Mushrooms with spores had overtaken the inside.
4. The picnic table outside broke while an individual was sitting on it.
5. There was massive construction going on on the road right in front of the home, which caused a closed road and a detour to access the house. Not a big deal, however a heads up would have been nice as this construction project was a bridge and looked like it had been going on a while and thus the owner should have been aware. I also wonder if this construction contributed to our water issue.
I would say the positive aspects of this house were the beautiful land as well as the well-kept pool. We had a great time swimming and really enjoyed the property (outdoors). However the negative items mentioned above were too impactful to not mention. I also reached out to Pierre after the trip to explain the issues we had and did not get so much as a response, let alone an apology. For the per night cost, I would expect to be able to take a shower and flush a toilet. I do not recommend staying here until Pierre addresses the above noted issues.

This farmhouse is a unique property with lots of nice touches. Our group had a great mountain biking weekend here with lots of trails within a 30-min drive. Owners were very accommodating and easy to communicate with.
As mentioned by other reviewers the well water has a sulfur smell so we just brought our own drinking water, although it is completely safe to drink and a Brita filter is also provided.

Wonderful getaway home but worth noting the water’s strong sulfur smell (common for well homes in the area) can be pretty overwhelming if you’re not expecting it. Makes a shower a pretty rough experience in particular. Everything else was just great though. Lovely weekend getaway

Our group had a wonderful time during out stay. We had an outdoor birthday brunch, including pickeball on the very well maintained tennis court and an easter egg hunt in the front yard. The kitchen was well equipped with serving platters and the three-season room was very spacious and had adequate seating. We grilled and roasted s'mores in the back at night. This isn't your modern, manicured, conventional resort stay - this is a quirky, comfortable, welcoming farmhouse stay with ample opportunity for outdoor adventure. Would love to return when the pool is accessible!

We had a wonderful time at this beautiful farm. The property was wonderful to explore, and the house was cozy and comfortable. The kids loved playing in the snow, building forts and snowmen. The one thing to note was a relatively strong smell of sulfur from the well water. The owners let us know about this ahead of time, and when we used the Brita, it eliminated much of the sulfur smell/taste. Overall we had a wonderful stay - it was just what our family needed!

The farm house has an amazing amount of space and a lovely zen feel to it, made especially so by simple and lovely decorative items from India, Morocco, and farm antiques. Beds were comfortable, sheets and towels were good, and the kitchen in one of the best stocked kitchens I have stayed in. Plenty of hot water. Forced air heat which worked in some areas better than others. We stayed here in December with 6 inches of snow on the ground and freezing temperatures. I think this is a house and property better suited to the summer months. The kitchen was very cold and we put yoga mats on the floor to keep our feet warm. Regardless we had a good time and enjoyed the outdoors. Lovely house, property and feeling here. Thank you!
