Everything about this house was perfect! We absolutely loved it!

From start to finish our visit to this house has been the best we have had yet! We are a very large group who have been meeting in Maine for over 30+ years. Finding a house that will fit us all and that checks everyones boxes has been hard task but this house pretty much has it all. The kitchen is well equipped, the dining room has more than enough room for all the sit together, the front porch is so relaxing after a fun day at the beach that is a 5 minute walk to. The owner was very understanding and helpful with whatever we needed. All in all a great weekend has had by our family!

Kevin is always there to answer anything we needed. The location is great. We have been doing cousins weekend for a few years and we love staying at the Willows

Perfect size and location for us!

Love the place. It is old but I loved the antique part of it. We were all able to stay and be very comfortable. You couldn't find a better area or nicer Landlord. The new kitchen which is where all my family seems to congregate is just amazing! I will surely be going again for our next family event in York!

Under difficult conditions (13 below) the house filled our needs . We are a group (10)of seniors and almost seniors . The owner was right there to answer questions.

Stunning home located in a beautiful location. Easy to get to, and the owner was extremely reliable and forthcoming with anything we needed. From the period pieces decorating the bedrooms to the modern kitchen which was a dream to gather in our family had a wonderful time just being together away from our everyday lives. Highly recommend this property for large families. (it held all 18 of us with a room to spare for short naps/quiet reading room).

This is the second time our group of friends rented this property and we love it! The space is so great for a group, with private bedrooms and bathrooms and we love how charming each room is. The newly renovated kitchen is a masterpiece and an awesome place to hangout. Host, Kevin is very accomodating, checked in and made sure we had all we needed.

This is the 9th year staying here In October..We have a ocean view from porch and a 3 minute walk to Short Sands..There are updates done every year..Owner did an amazing job updating the kitchen...This is a great place for large families...with 9 bedrooms and 7 bathrooms..Someone mentioned not liking owner living on property...[Ground floor apartment overlooking private back yard..You don't know he is there...unless you have problem[we did]..in which he handles ASAP ..Already rented for next year...

Nice location, clean, well stocked kitchen (plates, cups, silverware). Owner is on site which is great if any issues. Will do it again next year!

Very spacious, definitely large enough for a big family. I would say something’s could use an update, and more privacy from owner.

It is a very old house and should not be too "updated." The kitchen is very modern -- Bosch stove and 2 huge refrigerators with freezer drawers. The house worked very well for my grown kids and their families. There are some holes to the past, but I think it adds to the charm. Three floors with owners in the basement. Unfortunately, the kids decided to explore through that door to the basement, but the Kevin (owner) was kind about it. Thanks for a great stay! Oh and York and the beach were great too.

Smooth and easy

We had a great time at The Willows! The newly renovated kitchen was perfect for hanging out and preparing family dinners. It is centrally located so that you can walk to Short Sands beach and to the downtown shops. We spent many nights just relaxing on the big front porch. We did bring extra fans because there isn’t any air conditioning. Kevin the owner always responds quicly if you have any questions. Hopefully a return trip is in our future!

We had 3 generations in the house. The owner was close by and accessible. He had just finished remodeling the kitchen and it is big, beautiful, and well equipped. A couple things to note. The laundry is not in the house itself yet. The washer and dryer are under the main floor and you have to go outside to access them. They are shared with the owner, who lives on the lower level. He has a completely separate entrance to his living area. He has new appliances on order so maybe check to see if they have been installed in the kitchen if laundry is important to you. Also, there is no running on the first floor. We had young children in our group and they did get called out on the running a couple times. Adults chatting and drinking and laughing loudly in the kitchen at night is not a problem though! The location is excellent. We walked to the beach with a cart and chairs, provided by the owner. We walked to town, Short Sands Beach (across the street) and Long Sands Beach less than half a mile in the other direction. We walked to the zoo, the arcades, restaurants, shopping., the park and playground, even the Nubble Light House and ice cream. I wouldn't walk to the light house with the kids though as there are not sidewalks the whole way. Others have said there is a lot of traffic on the main road, which is true, but there are sidewalks and cross walks all around the house and into town and the beach. The front porch is awesome and we spent a lot of time there too. Overall, this is a great rental!

We stayed for a long weekend. We chose this property for it's location and it worked out well. We were able to walk to the lighthouse, shops as well as both long and short beaches. Would consider coming back again to explore even more.

The house was older as expected, but there was everything that you need for a stay. We enjoyed the walks, the beach was visible and it had a wonderful porch to enjoy.

Very suitable property for a big group. We all had our personal bathrooms to use which was such a relief.The house is well equipped with whatever you need, kitchen is fully loaded with pots, pans and crockery.So many games for kids and adults to play.Beach is at a walking distance. Definitely coming back!

Very quiet and comfortable bedrooms. Not a fancy place, but functional. Works well for multi family gatherings.
