This is a lovely and cosy, reasonably priced, self contained room, which was very very clean, with a comfy bed, decent shower and some kitchen facilities (kettle, toaster, microwave, fridge, crockery and cutlery, tea, coffee, sugar, milk etc).
I like that it had its own front door so I could come and go as I pleased. It was very well catered with iron etc, hairdryer, towels, toiletries, magazines etc. There was good wifi and a big TV with Netflix. It had everything you could think of really. And a lovely box of fudge was waiting for me.
I was visiting family so it was ideal. Small but perfectly formed and the hosts were there if you needed them.

I have really racked my brains and the only things I could think of, were maybe a kitchen roll and some salt sachets could be provided, but I am really nit-picking now..LOL! It was a wonderful stay.

Marie was an excellent host. There was plenty of tea and special coffees, a pint of milk in the fridge and even a lovely box of chocolates. A vase of fresh cut flowers on the window sill and anything we needed we could ask for, even a box of rice to dry my phone after I dropped it in water was very welcome.

From first notification, the hosts communication was amazing. Answered local knowledge questions when needed. Arrival was easy, the apartment was spotless and had everything imaginable available for use. Little touches were appreciated, little chocolates, a pint of milk "Biscoff" and yummy lattes!! The shower was amazing! The space although smaller than you're average Apartment was well laid out, and cool through the day for getting ready for a wedding when it was 28c outside!! Shall defo be back!!!

Very clean and good facilties. Bed was comfortable and electric heater allowed us to quickly heat the room.
The mirror was fragile hung on the wardrobe door, so placed it out of the way for safety.
The right hand door in the bathroom vanity unit could do with opening 180 degrees to allow acess
Personally not a lover of wet rooms due to water spread but shower was excellent.
Some light switches we couldn't get to work, probably us!
These points did not affect our comfortable stay.

The newly decorated room is absolutely amazing. They provided for every need (utensils, crockery, kettle, microwave, toaster, fridge, large flatscreen TV and more), and even provided toiletries and an ample supply of clean towels. They reserved a space for my car, and contacted me before, during and at the end of my stay to ensure everything was good.
The room far exceeds a normal B&B or hotel room.
I would highly recommend this to any person or couple who want to visit South Shields on a short or long term stay.
Absolutely no faults or negative comments.
