Great home and property - plenty of room to spread out for all. The beach/lake is very young child-safe, as it is not very deep at all for kids. Owners are extremely accommodating, as we rented their pontoon boat and owner came to fill up the gas for us. Facing west, the sunsets were beautiful to take in. Place is definitely 5-star all around.

Love staying at this property. The home is clean and comfortable and accommodates all of our family. We are looking forward to staying again next year

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Melissa's. Some helpful note for future renters: 1. Boat is on the older side, but gets the job done. If all you're looking to do is take a few leisurely laps around the lake and fish, Melissa's pontoon is all you need. Appreciated the extra gas onsite (we were there for a week and needed an additional 5 gallons). 2. House is well laid out to have two separate families stay. The are two bedrooms and one bath upstairs and three bedrooms and one bath downstairs. Each family had their own space, which worked out great. 3. Gas grill is in the back of the house (not on the lakeside). No propane tank needed as the gas line runs directly from the house to the grill. Grill worked great (we grilled all of our meals during our week stay). 4. Fire pit is right on the water and was great for sunsets. (House faces west, so the late afternoons / evenings were our favorite parts of the day.) 5. Good mix of sun in shade in the yard by the lake. 6. The water is very shallow - you could probably walk out 100 yards from the sea wall and still have your shoulders out of the water. 7. House is clean, plenty of linens, plenty of kitchen gadgets. Has everything you need for a week's stay. Overall, we enjoyed our stay, and Melissa was easy to work with. The one (minor) downside was that the WIFI was slow / spotty, but that's not unusual for a lake house in southwestern Michigan. We would definitely rent again from Melissa.

The place was just great for our stay - it was extremely clean and decorated very nicely. There was more than enough space for sleeping arrangements - grandkids all stayed in one room together while parents all had bedrooms. The dining area was perfect - more than enough space for all. Plus with 2 fridges, more than enough room to store all the food we brought. There was a great view of the lake from the sitting areas inside. Outside was great - way more chairs than we needed, plus you could sit in sun or shade with big tree in back. Being on east side of the lake allowed sun till almost 9 pm. Swimming area was great - especially for small kids as it was not real deep. Plus walking in water was very easy, as it was very smooth underfoot. Real plus was having clothes line outside to hang towels and suits. Made it easy to keep track of everyone's suits. Kids and adults both used the kayaks - lots of fun. Natural gas grill was great as we grilled almost every day. And had a great time around firepit at night. I could go on and on - just a great place that gave great memories to all. 5 STARS!!!

We had a great week at the Havel property!! The house was extremely clean and there was plenty of room for all 13 of us. Our daughters in law are nieces to the next door neighbors so that was an additional bonus for all of us. It was a wonderful time!! Thank you!!!

This was the perfect house for us. It is very well taken care of and so clean. The lake view is spectacular and water is very shallow right in front so the young kids swam in it all day. Everyone loved going kayaking( 2 at the house) I loved the layout of the house , nice dining room table and super large front room with big screen tv and a lower level family room with tv and 3 bedrooms. We were going to rent the owners boat on one of the days but it rained, instead we went to St Joes and had lunch and shopped. My family went to the drive-in movie in town and loved it. I was a little hesitant to rent this because of no reviews when I booked it but no regrets at all. Fun week and hopefully we will be back next year

Thanks so much for allowing us to have a wonderful week on Magician Lake. Your home was exactly as pictured and was spacious and clean and very comfortable for my family. We enjoyed the lake view and the Lake was the perfect temperature for swimming. We also enjoyed your kayaks and the bonfire pit! The Driftwood was great for ice cream. Thanks so much!

Magician Lake is magical . . . . Plenty of room for all 10 of us - Spacious home - large dining area, several sitting areas inside and outside, large bedrooms with lots of closet space, and beautiful views of the lake from both levels of the home. Master bedroom has a wall of windows overlooking the lake. Love that there were two full-size fridges. Plenty of parking available. We rented the owner's pontoon for a few days, had picnic lunches on the sandbar by the island. and had a lovely scenic ride on the lake. Kids could walk out in the water past the end of the pier and not be chest deep - peace of mind for the parents and grandparents. The fire in the fire pit each night was fun - watching the stars, having s'mores, and lively conversations. Kids and adults had fun paddling the kayaks. Many games and books were available for our use which was great on the one day it rained. The owners John and Melissa were super with all of our questions and got back with us right away. Truly nice people! Neighbors were so friendly and helpful too. I can only imagine what the views must be like when the leaves change colors. We just arrived home and everyone is talking about when we will come back again!
