We stayed at Ruggles Too for the week with extended family. This home offered plenty of space for everyone to have their own space, while also share time together. Carolina Shores makes vacationing with them so easy! We will definitely be back!

This was our 2nd year at Ruggles Too. There are many things to love about this property. It is clean and has a welcoming feel. There is beach access across the street but this is “supposed to be” a private walkway for the neighbor house that is to the left (if facing and looking at the front of the house from the street). We have been lucky the last 2 years that our neighbors were nice enough to allow us to use it. If not, you have to use public access which about 4 houses down. Otherwise, the pool is great and the outdoor shower is very nice. The layout of the house works well for our fam. The only thing I wish was that there were some kind of activity like corn hole, horse shoes, ping pong, an arcade game for the kids, darts- anything. There is a volleyball court but...... it’s not something our young kids are in to and the yard/grass I guess doesn’t get cut so it’s not a very welcoming activity. Some sort of activity and keyless entry would be such a huge bonus for this place. Otherwise, the maintenance staff and Carolina shores are very professional and helpful. We had one issue while there that was taken care of quickly. The kitchen is fairly well stocked. It’s very convenient to the grocery store and shops. We have reserved for next year but are keeping an eye out for other places that have what I mention above is important to us and wish Ruggles had! Thank you for sharing your home with us :)

This is our third time renting WH816. The positives are a super clean house, well stocked kitchen, large pool, proximity to shopping and new decking. The negatives are a very small common living area which makes it hard for all the adults to gather in one place. Also, the mattress in the upstairs master bedroom really needs to be replaced for next season.

We had a wonderful week in this house. The house was spotless and inviting. And it’s location was perfect - across the street from the wonderful beach and a short walk from food shopping and other services.

Great location close to beach! Owners called our first day to see if we have any questions or issues which was above and beyond. Pool was great for the days we didn’t go to the beach.

Property is very clean inside. However, some items need attention. The dish washer does not dry the dishes. The blender is broken. Some of the mattresses are very uncomfortable and need to be replaced.
On the outside, the house is not much to look at in the front. The back yard is very neglected. Several dead trees laying on the side of the property. The grass was 2 to 3 feet tall in the back. The volleyball court was overgrown with grass and not usable. The pool was decent with couple of minor items that needed repair (drain cover loose, one of the steps on the ladder lose with screw falling out). The porch and the deck around the house needs maintenance.
For the money that is being asked, this house needs more upkeep and maintenance.

This house was perfect for our group of 12. The location to the beach was super easy while also being within walking distance to local shops, restaurants, etc. We would definitely choose this property again.

I would recommend Ruggles Too for a great vacation. This was our first time in OBX and renting a house. We usually rent condos. It was great! The house was very clean and well maintained. We did have to call about a loose deck railing and maintenance was there to fix it within a couple hours. Very easy to walk or bike to many restaurants and shops. Thanks for sharing your home.

Stay in Corolla
We stayed in the property in Corolla over the Thanksgiving week with friends and family. We had a wonderful time and the place was very clean. One thing that isn't clear from the pictures that I would recommend is updates of the appliances. The appliances did work, but didn't fit quality-wise as compared with the rest of the house. Otherwise, a lovely place to gather together!

The pool and the hot tub were clean and well-maintained, it was perfect for the October weather after several hours at the beach each day. The kitchen was well supplied with plenty of cookware and utensils which we appreciated since we enjoy cooking all our meals.
It was obvious the owner takes pride in their property and wants others to care for it as well. The house was neat and clean but there needs to be more attention to thoroughly cleaning the kitchen. Thank you for a memorable and completely relaxing vacay! I would happily recommend this property and also be delighted to return.

This was a great place that accommodated 15 family members. Owners called and when small concern was identified they sent maintenance the very next day. Beach access was great and house had a great ocean view. Shops were close by. Would definitely stay here again.

We had a great time at this beach house! It was the perfect amount of space and we felt so at home! The owners called us the first day and were very friendly and informative. We were worried about COVID, but the house was very clean and we were satisfied. We will definitely be back!

The layout is great. Pool and hot tub were great for those who didn't want to spend all day at the beach. Puzzles, games, pool toys,and volleyball all helped keep the kids busy and tired at the end of the day. Great place for multi families. The walk to the beach was very easy (about 2 minutes) Check in was easy and we got a gift bag from the rental company. The only downside was the traffic jam getting to the island. One of our best vacations yet!

Home away from home
The house was very clean and easily accommodated our large group. Though our vacation started 2 days late because of hurricane Dorian, we had a wonderful time. Corolla had also gotten 5" of rain the night before we arrived and roads were flooded...but the home owner called to check and make sure that everything was ok and to call if we needed anything. We had a great time and made lots of memories!

Our families really enjoyed staying at the Ruggles Too. The house was spacious and clean. It was nice of the owner (Mary Jane) to call to check if everything was okay. I would have given the property location a 5 if it wasn't for the picture showing the beach entrance right across the street, the entrance actually belong to the house next door, you have to use the public beach access 4 houses down. Beside that, a great vacation home to stay at.

We enjoyed our week tremendously! The house is nicely appointed and fit our families. We liked the location as it was close to shopping and the Food Lion. That was very convenient. The only concern we had was that the pictures show a private beach access near the house. That is not for this house. We used the public beach access on Dolphin. It was 4 houses away. It was a quick walk but you should know that you can't use the access across the street.
Overall it was a great trip and we enjoyed the house.

Very nice accommodation, well equipped, clean and convenient to stores, shops and beach. The grass wasn't cut when we arrived but was later in the week. Volleyball court was in need of repair, a net and volleyball. Otherwise everything was great. On Monday, the owner called the house to see if everything was ok on arrival which was thoughtful and unexpected. The traffic on rte 12 is horrendous and unavoidable.
