Family of 5 adults spent Thanksgiving week visiting our USC daughter. The house had everything I needed to prepare and serve a full Thanksgiving dinner. The views out of every window on Amenity Island are serene and beautiful. The drive to USC campus was about 30 minutes and pretty easy. There was plenty of room for the 5 of us but 2 beds are in a basement bedroom that requires you to walk outside to access the main section of the house which was a bit awkward but fine for our adult kids. John was a wonderful host.

Could not have asked for a more wonderful place to enjoy a fall vacation—house and amenities were amazing, wonderful location close to restaurants and needed stores, fantastic location on the lake itself with beautiful views, host John was so nice and helpful. I would definitely want to stay here again!

In general: The home is very well cared for and well stocked with necessities ++. They have tons of cooking supplies not only for the kitchen but for grilling as well as preparing for large crowds. And the toys for boating and lake swimming are added added bonus as well. The dock is well kept and where we spent most of our time.
Bedrooms in the home are large and spacious and the basement suite is perfect if you are vacationing with grown/flown children and their SOs. We went to the basement at night and left them upstairs. For boaters: The dock is perfect for docking your boat and the ramp is solid and long (plenty of ramp in the water to back down in as far as you need). There is some skill needed to back down the driveway to access the dock; but doable. We loved the quick access of having the ramp on property. Can't recommend this property enough!

Can’t be beat, water front and on a little island!! Home has a great layout, dining and sun room that lead out to a large deck with a grill and outside dining. Really nice downstairs bedroom with full bath, and laundry room. Plenty of lake toys to use along with paddle board, kayaks, floating mat, etc…
Dock is great for keeping your boat, there is a boat ramp that can be a little tricky to use or you can put in at the marina just a short drive away and drive your boat to the house. Home overlooks a large cove perfect for boating, tubing, skiing, etc and can easily boat to several restaurants on the lake.

Our family was in town for our son's wedding. House was exactly as advertised with plenty of space for 6 adults and 2 small dogs. Fantastic amenities for lake fun. Amazing neighbors who are so welcoming and helpful. John, the owner, was terrific and so generous with a time extension allowing time for wedding prep and a Mother's Day celebration. We really appreciated how great John was to work with and that he stayed in communication with us throughout our stay. We would love to make a return trip!

The owner was awesome. He communicated by phone calls, e-mails, and meeting us when we arrived. Hurricane Ian Came thur while we were there the owner called to check on us which was very thoughtful. The house was very clean, well stocked with any thing you would need. We stay once a year for our vacation at the lake and this place was our favorite. My husband loved the house and the views of the lake which was visible from the front porch and back deck. We look forward to staying again.

This was from the beginning booking last year until now has been a pleasant experience. Owners are incredible- house is fantastic- one of the most peaceful places we have ever been. We rented for a family weekend to visit our university of South Carolina student and football festivities. We will definitely be returning ! Thank you for a great experience!

This house was incredible. We stayed a few days to get our daughter settled at UofSC. The property is amazing. Everything you need and the views! Wow! Coffee on the deck in the morning. Cocktails at night. The ambiance is incredible. Sleeping at night is so quiet with the sounds of owls every once in a while. If you’re considering, jump on it! We can’t wait to go back. Hosts are fantastic as well. Highly recommend.

We stayed here with our kids (5 and 7) and parents. This property is in the absolute best location on the lake and stocked with everything you need…. Kitchen and bathroom essentials as well as fun water activities!
The owners are the nicest folks and very responsive!

This was such an AMAZING place to stay at! It was clean and ready to go upon arrival. The space was perfect as our 4 kids also need their own space at times just like they do at home. There is easy access to the lake and the lake gear was perfect to use. There is a nice yard as well to play yard games and to have campfires. This was a perfect place to vacation at for family time and also has a very nice neighborhood.

Our experience was just what we were looking for. We are outdoor people that prefer lakes over the ocean. And we love to cook out. This location was beyond perfect for both things. We spent all of our time in the kayaks, paddle boards and our pontoon boat. We cooked out and watched a beautiful sunset every night from the porch or the dock. The grounds were very people friendly. And our dogs loved their experience to. We all felt right at home from day one! And the owners were very accommodating. Word of advice, you dont have to bring alot of stuff to this rental. They truly thought of everything. I highly recommend this location for families who are looking to disconnect and have fun with the ones they love.

Our recent stay in this lovely home was just what our family needed for a 4 day get away.
Have stayed at a lot of rental homes but this one is by far the best one yet! The home is meticulously cared for and vey clean and so organized. The kitchen has everything you could ever want and is stocked full of spices, oils, dishes and pans galore! We enjoyed the large deck, the gas grill and the views of the lake were stunning.
We brought our boat and the dock and private ramp were all we needed. The neighborhood is very quiet and close to the grocery and a few restaurants. We will definitely come back. Thank you so much for sharing your home!!

Our family had the best getaway on Beautiful Lake Murray. This was our second stay with family and our dogs, which are our family. We used the paddle board and kayaks and floats around the water. We enjoyed the fire pit and fishing, catching catfish. We rented a patoon boat for 3 days to explore the georgious lake. The house has everything you need and very clean,, and that is what makes this place so enjoyable because you just have to pack your bags. I wish I could post the sunset pictures of pinks and orange and yellow sky.. They have beautiful sunsets! I Love this place! The Tuel's

Of all the properties I have rented I have never stayed at a house that was so well stocked. There was nothing you could have needed that wasn’t available to you. Attention to detail on point. The views are amazing as well as the beautiful sunsets. Peaceful and serene. Total Relaxation floating on the lake watching the turtles poke their heads out for some fresh air and sun. Would definitely rent again and again and again. Communication on point as well. Thank you for a great family vacation

The location on the lake was great by boat or car to get to the grocery store. The house was very clean inside and out. Quiet neighborhood and the owner was great to work with. We enjoyed all of the water toys and the margarita machine!

John and Becky are so accommodating and responsive. We came with another couple and the accommodations were comfortable, perfect for lake time away. The back deck, front sitting area outside, the sunroom offered variety. And lake toys and floats were plentiful.. We became very comfortable there. The lakehouse is located near restaurants with several nearby towns to explore including Columbia. On a rainy day we toured the State Capitol and visited the SC Museum...well worth it! The 4 D Theatre experience was an addition that was fun and unique. Simply Southern Gifts in Irmo was a cute shop.
We were quite happy with our experience and would definitely return.

We have rented many homes over the years, in the U.S. and overseas, and this one exceeded even our highest expectations! My husband and I tried to think of one thing this house does not have, and we couldn't! Every detail has been carefully considered to make guests feel welcome, comfortable, and carefree. The water floats and kayaks were in great shape; the kitchen had every imaginable dish, pot, pan, and utensil; the bedding was extremely comfortable, and the house was absolutely spotless. It's a dog-friendly house, but there is no trace of previous dogs! We did take our rescue pup, and he had a blast! The sunsets are spectacular. The hosts are extremely responsive and friendly. We hope to go back soon!

I can't say enough good things about this house and our hosts. The home and property are exactly as described, clean and well kept. The location and surroundings could not have been better. Everything was fully stocked and our gracious hosts checked in on us to make sure everything was going smoothly. It was like staying at a friend's home. A very well kept and managed property. We went for a break immediately after Christmas and had a very peaceful week watching sunsets from the dock and playing with the kayaks. We warned the owners we were arriving late and they left lights and heat on, so we felt at home as soon as we arrived.

We had great time at this lake house. It has absolutely everything you need in a home away from home. We cooked a whole Thanksgiving meal and the kitchen had every single thing we needed - including a stockpot large enough to soak a turkey in brine overnight and meat thermometers! Unfortunately we didn’t get to see any sunsets from the backyard deck because of the cloudy weather but we really enjoyed the large covered front porch with partial views of the lake! It was very peaceful and relaxing to be able to enjoy the porch while it was raining. Great property and great hosts.
