Location, Views, Ambience, Quality, Facilities all excellent

Cottage is in a remotish area, think they're 2 acre plus blocks on shinge roads - you have neighbours you can see in the distance, but you are really close to Twizel and the canals for fishing. Lovely clean, comfy cottage, all new amenities. Sure it is someone's home as there is heaps of normal crockery and kitchenware you'd have at home, and food in the pantry and fridge. Didn't use any as we took our own. Small tv with a few channels, good wifi and mobile phone reception. Wonderful comfy bed and pillows. Great water pressure in shower. Only annoying thing was the whistling of the chimney with the howling nor'wester wind.

The location was fantastic as only 5 minutes to center of town. Views from the house were sensational. Fully equipped kitchen (we cooked one night).

Would like to have had a flannel in the bathroom. TV would not change channels (but we had Tablet so could watch a movie on that) Kids next door a bit loud but at least not for long so overall not bad. I would have liked a gate to the canal (I fish) but that is just a wish and not a complaint .. it was only a 1-2 minute drive to gate at the end of Old Glen Lyon Road so that was really good.

Breakfast not incuded Location views and surrounding scenery was magnificent. Further out from Twizel than we had expected but such a beautiful setting it was well worth it

Beautiful cottage in a stunning location, would definitely stay here again if I ever get the chance! Good location for Twizel and Mount Cook but felt remote and had gorgeous views.

Bit of noise from the attached house. A blind for the skylight would be good in summer.
