The room was very clean But it was not made up the following day. The following morning we went out for the day when we arrived that evening the room was not serviced. It was as we left it that morning bed unmade no fresh towels. No toilet paper. We had to ask at the front desk for toilet paper and towels.

It was cute and clean and all around pleasant. Bed was comfortable. Had a big tv, microwave, and fridge.

It was a nice room, but the bed was too soft.

We enjoyed our stay at creekside. Close to shops and dining.

Am so happy to have found this hotel. It's cute, clean, and backs up to a small creek so it's very quiet. We even saw deer come by one evening.

Very nice room with good parking. Gas station and great Italian restaurant right across the street. No need for driving, as Carmel is walkable from the hotel. Friendly staff and daily breakfast.

This is our second time staying here and will always come back because their rooms are amazing! I always get the best nights rest!

We had a very clean room. Clearly, the rooms have been recently remodeled. I was surprised that there was nothing on the floor of the shower to keep a person from slipping, nor any handrails to hold onto. We had to be very careful showering. We also brought a computer to stream to the TV but we’re unable to change the input due to the type of TV remote and no one on staff could help us. The stream in the back of the property is nice, but the yard before it could have used some cleaning up is it distracted from the view.

The Hotel room was clean but the water pressure in the shower was too weak to even wash my hair. The receptionist could be a bit more friendly.

The room was very comfortable and very clean except for a few carpet stains, but they were not bad. We otherwise had a great time here (our second stay at this hotel) and will definitely stay here again.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Samantha, who checked us in, was very personable, friendly, attentive, and conscientious. Our room was clean, spacious, and comfortable. We really enjoyed having a room with a balcony. I would definitely stay here again.

The place was everything you would want. Beautiful, newly renovated, little terrace overlooking the creek, and I loved the sliding wooden shutters instead of curtains. Check-in was a bit of a communication challenge, but after the initial encounter, the front desk person made a bit more of an effort to be helpful, and I appreciated that.

We really enjoyed staying at this property. Our room was quiet and clean. In addition, the location was very convenient for walking to downtown Cambria. Would highly recommend!

FYI - doing the “balcony” room does not mean it will be a second floor room. All the first floor rooms across the back of the property have a balcony since the hotel sits on the edge overlooking the creek. The rear of the downstairs room are about 6 feet above the grade in the back. I only booked the balcony because I wanted to guarantee a room above, since I hate having people on the floor directly above me, but it didn’t work in this case.

Looked newly remodeled. Everything in the room was brand new. New paint, rug and furniture. Very comfortable stay and 4 minutes walking distance from restaurants and shops

First I’ll start with, my husband and I really enjoyed our stay here. It’s not a 5 star hotel BUT, it’s quaint, CLEAN, quiet and easily accessible for reasons why we came to Cambria. Our visit was to enjoy a romantic quiet weekend getaway to visit, Hearst Castle, wineries and stroll the coast. Just to enjoy alone time and nature… and this place helped fulfill that! The check in manager was very nice, especially since we arrived after 9pm. From our room we could hear a creek, frogs and crickets…. Very soothing, to us. Our room had a Keurig machine w/ coffee pods. A mini fridge to keep my water, and a microwave (we didn’t need this) but good to know. The room was very spacious! They’re policy is to not have housekeeping tend on the daily, but WE actually prefer it that way… however, if you need extra towels or coffee items, all you have to do is ask. They’re happy to oblige. We would absolutely stay here again, and would recommend any of our family or friends to stay here as well 😊

Nice, clean, basic room within walking distance to shops and restaurants. Sitting on the balcony overlooking the creek was very peaceful. We would stay here again.

They have done a lot of updating at the hotel, and the rooms have been nicely refreshed. Much better than they used to be. We would stay here again. Just know that if you like a quiet room, these back up to the creek, so there are several frogs croaking throughout the night, which you can hear in the room. We loved it, but if you are a light sleeper you may not.

Very sweet people who run the motel. We had no idea it was a motel until we got there, but we felt pretty safe and we were on the quieter side of town. Motel room was clean and we had a great time.

WARNING: The shower pan in our room was so slick when wet that my 73-year-old mother nearly fell, and I did fall and bruised my knee and foot. We reported it to management and were told that there should’ve been a shower mat in there, but the cleaning person must not have remembered to put it back. I kind of felt like we were getting a brush off. This is an extremely dangerous situation. There is nothing to grab onto and I ripped the shower curtain off the pole as I fell. Please make sure when you check into your room that the bathroom has a rubber mat for the shower floor.

Staff was very kind, friendly and receptive.
