Dave the owner speaks perfect English and Spanish, and is very knowledgeable about the area. he is very responsive on WhatsApp and even drove to help us get coolant for our engine when we were stranded at 5pm on a holiday during a torrential downpour! the villa could not be more centrally located in Playa Guiones. we walked to the beach to catch sunset almost every night and many restaurants, surf schools and shops. we can't wait to come back!

Great 2 bedroom villa. big and comfortable place with well stocked kitchen. big rooms with closets. Good location and very friendly staff.

there was air conditioners in both bedrooms but not one in the living room which got a little too hot.

Perfect location immediately behind a beach access point. Apartment was extremely well-equipped and very clean. Kitchen had good appliances and everything we needed to cook meals. There are air conditioning units in the main room as well as all the bedrooms and there are ceiling fans everything as well. David and staff were very helpful whenever we had questions. Pool is small but very nice. Perfect place for families that want to self-cater.

Kinda loud when trucks or dirt bikes drive by at night but that’s what you get with the location. Would go back with ear plugs. Not a big deal

the apt was perfect for our family. it is a closer walk to the surf than expected. centrally located to restaurants and shopping. All appliances works nicely. the staff was incredibly accommodating and the daily housekeeping was exceptional. the pool was also very nice. I will stay there again and also recommend it to anyone else looking for family style accommodations.

villa tortuga has what you need. excellent proximity to beach and restaurants. Dave is a great host. lodgings are spacious and clean.

Ticos hang out in front of the liquor store and are loud right outside the window. The windows are not glass in the bedroom so you can hear everything. Also a ton of ants in the rooms

Villa Tortuga was perfect for our family of 5. plenty of space and centrally located, so you could walk to most everything.

Just a little construction going on, but that should be over soon.

Spacious 3-bedrooms, secluded quiet area, very helpful staff. Nice beach.

Difficult access, terrible roads in the area, somewhat dated furniture.

Friendly people, relaxed vibe, great layout with the pool in the middle. Very family friendly. Close to beach, restaurants and bars. Good quality coal bbq. Rooms and areas cleaned every day. Fast Internet (over 100mbts) in the reception and usually around 30mbts in the room. Worth every penny. Kitchen was well stocked with a good sized fridge and freezer. Cooker was better than most in CR. Paul was a great host.
