Hillside Farm

Apartment is modern with lovely furnishings. So nice to sit on the patio with the farm animals next to you. Very peaceful spot. Cosy, warm and evening meal was superb. Host filled the fridge with goodies we didn't expect, very generous and felt very spoilt.

Breakfast was superb prepared by very friendly staff.

Dinner was very well prepared and served with a side salad and desert. Breakfast was continental and served evening before, not the morning. Heaters makes the unit very cosy in winter.

Shower floods the bathroom when used, right into the lounge area. Fridge needs defrosting. Kettle needs descaling.

It was immaculate no issues what so ever.

The initial communication was poor. Unable to contact them. No telephone reception. Sat at the front gate for half an hour waiting for someone to open, only to find out upon frustrated inspection, the gate was not locked ( very unusual for main road facing gate ) Poor directions on the information sent. I had to pay (by invoice and electronic banking) for my evening meal, at least a day before arrival. This was not possible in my case as an international tourist so I cancelled my meal, only to be asked on arrival if I wanted a meal? Very confusing. Not a good experience. But the accommodation for one night was lovely.
