Ky is a fantastic host, helpful and gracious. An afternoon in her garden will leave you feeling refreshed. The room is quiet,comfortable and convenient to everything while feeling quiet and secluded. A fantastic place to stay.

Cozy, clean place with a friendly and attentive owner. Convenient to nice places in the Eureka area, and close enough for nice long day trips to the redwood parks. I strongly recommend the stay here.

We enjoyed our stay! Access was easy as parking is right outside of the door, and there is an easy to use keypad. The room had a table with 2 chairs, a small sofa, a comfortable queen size bed, its own refrigerator, and a sauna. The bathroom had a walk in shower. Guests have use of the kitchen. The dwelling is quirky (which we found fun) - make sure to check out the adjoining beauty salon that is in the dome! If you enjoy gardens, the host will give you a tour of her! It’s spectacular. If you are a gardener, it’s worth staying just to spend time in the garden. It is both a flower and vegetable garden. And, also has fruit trees. For breakfast, we helped the host pick red raspberries and blueberries and had a bowl with coffee and other goodies. Thank you for such a wonderful stay.

Ky is very friendly, welcoming and accommodating. She is quite knowledgeable about the local attractions. Her place is small, just enough for two people, but very cozy. We had to share her kitchen, but it was always available to us. We did enjoy our stay at her place

We had a great stay, and found the location close to everything that we needed. I love her garden, and fresh produce.

Finding a VRBO rental in Eureka was limited and I wasn't really sure what to expect from the pictures. However, it turned out to be one of our most delightful experiences as we traveled norther California. The hostess, Ky was infectious and very hospitable. It is advertised as a ""shred kitchen" which I thought meant shared utility, but it turned out that Ky shared her kitchen She treated it more of a Bed and Breakfast sitting out fruits and conventional breakfast. items with coffee. She is very friendly and present hostess. I really enjoyed meeting her.

Perfect space to have extra room for my family while they visited. My family loved the space and said Ky was very nice!

Everything couldn’t have been more perfect at Kys. I stayed 2 nights and was delighted when I saw the room . The bed was so comfortable and had wonderful plush sheets and pillows .. I was also happy to see a nice sized refrigerator in the room for the all the food items I bought . I was able to use the adjacent kitchen where everything was clean and convenient. The outside back had a beautiful garden and jacuzzi . I spent time in the jacuzzi evenings sipping warm ginger tea which was always available. The room included a sauna which helped me relax and warm up before climbing into the cozy bed. I had so much hospitality throughout my stay. Everything was quiet and the location perfect. I felt very pampered the whole time there.. I came for a healing and reunification and that was accomplished .. I will look forward to planning my next visit.

KY was incredible! We felt like family from the minute we met her. The Room was clean, comfortable, and quiet.

We had a great stay, felt like home. ky had coffee and fresh fruit in the mornings. We enjoyed the hottub in the evenings and even tried out the sauna.

Ky is very chatty and friendly. I chose this place in part due to its 4.8 stars. But it is very tiny, and the bath vanity is actually a kitchen sink cabinet with a raw particleboard side. The bath sink is a stainless steel kitchen sink with a hand sprayer. Most concerning was that my curling iron became super heated when plugged into the bath socket. I just don’t think this small property is constructed well or safely. There is a door between the unit and the owner’s kitchen that allows sounds and her home lighting to pass through— early in the morning, unfortunately.

Ky was very welcoming and kind, she even gave us fruit straight from her garden. Perfect 1-night stop for me and my husband as we headed up the coast!

Loved Ky! I felt very safe. Quiet, near to other locations for food, gas, etc. I would definitely stay here again. Again Ky was the best!!!!🥰

This property was just what we needed without cheap unnecessary frills found in major hotels. What we did find instead was genuine and authentic quality & comfort, and a host who sincerely cares. Ky is amazing. I highly recommend!

Really loved our host, Ky. She loves to have talkative company, and even shared her food with us. This was more like a home away from home (we come from the noisy part of San Francisco) - everything was just a little smaller except for the bigger parks outside of Eureka.

We had a lovely stay at Ky's Cottage in Eureka for a music workshop at Cal Poly Humboldt and for local sightseeing. After each day out, it was nice to come back and cook dinner in the shared kitchen, chat, and then rest in our room for the evening. This was a great space for two adults, and I hope to be a return guest next time we visit the beautiful northern California coast!

Potential for this cozy property. I enjoyed the host Kyo. I offered a couple of hints to make property more appealing. The hot tub is now working! She has an electric sauna inside. Kyo is planning to renovate, I expect at that time it will be a fun place to stay. We spent a quick overnight and had a good rest there.

It was like staying and your aunt’s house. Very sweet host and we slept well in the comfy bed. If your looking to just be there to have a good nights sleep then auntie Ky’s place is where to stay.

About an hour from Prairie Creek National Park which was a great place to see the Redwoods. Hostess Ky was helpful and engaging. Enjoyed her small patio and garden.

I had originally planned to go up to Eureka w my bf but he had some family stuff come up and ended up going alone. I was a bit weary at first being a woman alone but Ky eased my fears. She was a wonderful host. The area was in a nice quiet part of town. In some of the other areas of town, I don't think I would of been so comfortable being alone. Parking was a few feet from the entrance and I felt very safe even when getting in late at night. The room was lovely. It was perfect for me and would be good for two people but no more than that. There was also a one person sauna in the room. Score! It was so relaxing being in there! There was a shared kitchen with fridge, oven, stove top and other appliances. I didn't do much eating in but would have been good for that if one wanted to. The botanical garden in the back was AMAZING! Ky is a great gardener. She had these beautiful purple tower of jewels that were like 11ft, beautiful artichoke plants and massive mint bushes. She even let me take some to go to transplant at my place. Really nice of her to spread the plant love. The garden was just a magical place and it was so lovely to sit in the back while enjoying my surroundings. There was also a jacuzzi. Had I brought my bathing suit, I imagine it would have been so relaxing to sit in while enjoying the scenery. Ky was a truly amazing host. She was very personable and has a great personality. She offered food every day and respected my space. She was very quiet, I barely realized she was there. Next time I go up, I will definitely try and book her again!

Mrs KY is wonderful! Sauna was great! Saw a deer In the back my wife got hair cut. Bed was super comfortable! Definitely recommended!

Ky was a very sweet host: she greeted us with watermelon slices when we arrived around dinnertime and she also greeted us the next morning with freshly brewed coffee. Her place was just what we needed for a 1-night stay during our long road trip back home to San Francisco from Seattle. She was very friendly and accommodating. The lodging was comfortable and quaint; it served its purpose as all we wanted was a good pillow and warm bed to give us a good night's rest before we made our last leg home. It was a treat to also have a sauna available to sweat out a long day of driving! She had a hot tub available in her beautiful garden too. Overall we enjoyed our short stay and appreciated Ky's hospitality :)

Excellent host who even cooked us a Salmon-and-greens lunch which was excellent. It was cold outside but the room had adequate heating to keep us comfortable. There is no need for AC since it is always cool outside.
