The Island Inn

We were greeted with generosity and plenty of helpful information. The house is lovely, there are apple trees out front, and a cozy common area for reading, game-playing, socializing. Mike and Tracy were great. The room was nice. The breakfast [ blueberry pancakes and sausages!] was outstanding !

Bit cold and cold but really just a bit

The owner Tracey welcomed us upon arrival and gave us our room keys. Our room was on the top floor and had a very nice view of the sea. Our room was with a shared bathroom, but had a sink in the room itself. Since no other room on the floor was occupied we had the shared bathroom to ourselves. We were travelling with our 12 months old son. Tracey was super sweet with him and even gave him a little gift and let him sit in a mini rocking chair after breakfast which he really enjoyed. Overall the Island Inn feels less like a hotel and more like you are staying with a Canadian family, which we really appreciated. The Inn has the vibe of a family run hotel from another era. Breakfast was included and a simple affair of Toast, Bacon and Eggs your way. We enjoyed it and made friends with the people at the next table in the breakfast room. The location of the Inn is fantastic, literally just outside the National Park.

Some of the fixtures and fittings are getting a little old, but overall the hospitality and charme makes up for that.

Location, breakfast, suggestions for sightseeing. Nice deck and space to chill out.

Room was smelly, needed to be more ventilated. Bed cover on bed looked dirty and needed updating. Bathroom was very clean but bedroom was not as clean. Would be nice to have coffee/tea making facilities.
