Our stay was wonderful in Ian's beach house. Extremely clean, well stocked kitchen, beach toys and chairs

Home was in a nice quiet street. The home was in spectacular condition and very clean. There were very clear information sheets inside the home for everything you could think of. Supple amount of beach chairs and other outdoor items including charcoal, lighter fluid, and a lighter for the charcoal grill that was provided for use. We did not have to shop for anything other than our groceries for the week! It was an easy walk to the beach access. Stress free keyless check in and out. Information was exchanged with the owner easily and he was very responsive to any questions. We enjoyed our stay!

The house was very clean and the kitchen well-stocked with everything we needed and the beds were very comfortable. Close to the beach with easy access. We would definitely recommend it to others and plan to return in the future.

Home was perfect for my family of 5 and our English bulldog puppy. The walk to the beach was closer than expected. Storage had lots of beach accessories to use on the beach. We had a wonderful stay!

This was a great house, exactly as pictured. There were Pros and Cons but mostly Pros.
Pros: GREAT location, so close to the beach, nice quiet street, house was as pictured, plenty of space for my husband and I, my Mother in Law, and our small pup. Well equipped kitchen, comfy furniture and beds. Communication with owner was fantastic.
Cons: Definitely need a new shower curtain in master bath, and it would have been nice if the lawn had been mowed. The grass was as tall, if not taller, than our little 10lb pup. A little step up in the cleaning would be helpful (dog hair on and under furniture, behind TV, etc) but it wasn't a big deal at all.
Again, the location alone was enough to give this 5 stars!

Sandy Crack is a lovely home and perfectly located, just a very short walk to the beach. It has everything you need is just right for 6 people. The owner was wonderful to work with. We had such a wonderful vacation. So happy we found Sandy Crack :))))

There is so much to love about the Sandy Crack! It's the perfect size and location for our family of 5. Close to the beach and on a quiet street. We enjoyed our second stay here and are glad to have found the Sandy Crack.

My wife and I stayed here for a week and everything was perfect. The walk to the private access to the beach is a breeze and everything was as advertised. Being able to bring our dog with us was a huge plus. The island is very dog friendly.

Beautiful Perfection
My family loves topsail. The beaches are excellent for everything. Sandy crack was an easy quick walk from the beach. Sandy crack was furnished for family comfort and relaxing. The kitchen had everything you could ask for. The beds were amazingly comfortable. The deck with cafe lighting and cushioned seating was great for hanging out with our friends and family! We will definitely return for vacation again!

Great week with our dogs
Really liked the house. My adult sons loved that outdoor shower. Beds were very comfortable (have had problems with that with other rentals). Very cozy family room with enough room for us and our two medium size dogs. My only complaint is that the road is not paved, so I had to walk my poor bicycle to the main road before starting my ride (an issue only true cyclists would understand). Already booked the house for next year!

My family and I recently spent a relaxing week at this property. The house is clean and comfortable with all the amenities needed for anyone’s vacation. It’s located on a private lane with only a very short walk to the beach. Perfect vacation spot for my small family. Just delightful!

The beach wasn’t too crowded at all, and the outdoor shower and hose were perfect for those extra sandy days. A lot of reviews mention that the house was very clean, but unfortunately for us, something must have gone wrong with the cleaning before our arrival. The floors were very dirty, there were food remnants still left in the sink, and surfaces in the bathroom and kitchen needed a wipe down. I contacted Ian, and he responded immediately. He helped me locate the vacuum and cleaning supplies in the house and offered a partial refund for the cleaning fee straight away. Even though I was disappointed to start off our vacation with cleaning and vacuuming, we really appreciated Ian as a host promptly responding to the situation so we could make the best of it and try to enjoy our time.

My husband, dog, and I stayed the weekend at this wonderful little oasis. We could tell immediately once we walked in that this cottage had been well loved and cared for. It had everything we needed, was clean as could be, and very comfortable! It was great that the beach access was conveniently located and the street the house is on is in a private cul-de-sac. Thanks for the variety of dvds. We watched Thelma and Louise ( a fave of ours) and relaxed on the back deck during the late afternoon sunset. We will certainly come here again-thanks Ian!,,

My husband, dog, and I stayed the weekend at this wonderful little oasis. We could tell immediately once we walked in that this cottage had been well loved and cared for. It had everything we needed, was clean as could be, and very comfortable! It was great that the beach access was conveniently located and the street the house is on is in a private cul-de-sac. We loved this property! Ian was awesome, quick and thorough communication and he was very accommodating. The house is a short walk to the beach and it very well appointed and updated. The kitchen has everything you need to cook and enjoy. Everything is comfy and cozy and we are looking forward to staying there again!

We decided to stay at Sandy Crack for a quick weekend away. We thought the layout to the property was very spacious and the interior seemed to be renovated recently. We were particularly surprised that you could hear the ocean from the back deck. We also found the beach to be a closer than we expected. It was an easy walk to the beach and then in town to grab breakfast and lunch.
The owner was very responsive and easy to deal with.
All in all, a perfect weekend away.

Descent comfortable place
The Sandy Crack is clean, comfortable and Ian is proactive and responsive. During our stay there was a furnace issue. Ian reached out to us, before it got cold enough for us to even realize and hand an HVAC guy out within the hour. Totally out of his control but handled promptly and professionally. Over all place is great, pics are accurate, and pics are accurate. We’d stay again

Loved our stay
This was our first time in the area and we loved our first stay. It’s a small walk to the beach. The house itself is clean and very welcoming. I love that a lot of sunlight comes in through all the windows. The check in process was so simple and the owner communicates so well and in a timely manner. The master bedroom bed was a little uncomfortable for me, but I’m not a fan of memory foam beds. Overall, I would stay again.

It has great lighting, really fast internet, comfortable beds, everything worked, and we felt really comfortable as soon as we stepped inside. The house is on a gravel street with several other homes but it was still very quiet. If you’re outside you can hear the waves crashing on the shore. The beach is one of the most secluded and cleanest I have experienced in quite some time, and it is super close to the house. We had a great time and did not want to leave. The perfect de-stress vacation.
