Wonderful quiet place deck is great alot of wildlife egret roosting deer running on the golf course aligator visited and we saw five other younger aged aligators from 4ft to maybe 2ft so interesting the stars are amazing sitting on the deck

We thoroughly enjoyed our week in this home on Edisto. We've been to Edisto many times and have always gone with our daughters, their husbands, and children. This time it was just my husband and me (and joined for a few days by 2 friends). It was a totally different experience. We have always stayed on the water--either ocean or sound front. This time it was at Wyndham in this house on the edge of a lagoon. We spent the week watching hundreds, probably thousands, of egrets, ibis, blue herons and others. Also a highlight was watching baby alligators, teen age alligators and parent gator in the lagoon below us. And turtles. And deer. And dragonflies. And the icing on the cake was perfect weather was ordered for us--I'm not sure that can be counted on. Spent very little time on the beach. House was larger than photos look. Beds very comfortable. Kitchen adequately equipped. We loved it!!!!

We recently stayed at this Vrbo property and had a mixed experience. While we enjoyed our trip, there were several issues:
* Cleanliness and Pest Issues: We encountered cleanliness issues in the bathrooms and some pests in the property, though mostly half-dead insects. Improved pest control could help.
* Limited Supplies: The essentials like toilet paper, garbage bags, paper towels, hand soap, dish soap, and dishwasher pods were in short supply.
* Extra Charges: Extra fees for sheets and towels surprised us.
* Misleading Listing: The property's location wasn't accurately described; we were unaware of the lagoon with alligators in the backyard.
* Lack of Bedroom Curtains: We wished for blackout curtains in the bedrooms for better sleep quality.
* Lack of Living Room Curtains: Curtains in the living room would have been helpful to control light.
* Mattresses and Carpet: The need for new mattresses and addressing stains on the upstairs carpet was evident.
* Entertainment: A smart TV in the living room would have been a nice addition.
In summary, our trip was enjoyable, but these issues need addressing for future guests to have a more comfortable and pleasant stay.

This was a mini vacation for myself ,my son ,his girlfriend and our dogs.
The house was perfect. Much bigger then expected. The deck was the highlight ,we spent a lot of time just sitting outside watching the nature in the lagoon and the surrounding area.
I would recommend this house to anyone that is looking for a quiet relaxing stay.
The house was clean and well stocked. The golf cart was a big plus . We hated to leave, and want to plan our next visit soon.

Very roomy home- the photos do not do it justice! There were 7 of us in our group and we never felt like we needed more space. Home was nicely appointed and beautiful views of the lagoon and fairway. The wildlife was a pleasure to watch - deer, gators, birds, etc. Beds were comfy and A/C cools well. It was very nice to have use of the golf cart as well. The outdoor shower was very nice for rinsing beach sand off before entering the house. The only bothersome experience we had were some insects in the home but that is to be expected some when you are surrounded by nature... it is a fair tradeoff in my opinion to enjoy this beautiful island! Owners are very responsive and helpful with questions. We would definitely visit again!

The property was spacious and fit our family of 7 perfectly. Enjoyed the wildlife a lot. Had to be careful when taking out our small dogs. The pool and miniture golf was a lot of fun and worth the money charged for it.

We all truly loved our stay here. The wildlife viewing was second to none. Beds upstairs could use new mattresses, but for a week we did just fine.

We loved the location of this place. We used the golf cart to get back and forth to the beach and it was perfect! We all especially loved seeing all the wildlife off the deck each day! House was clean and had everything we needed. Comfortable beds as well. Would definitely stay again!

We took a week to consider what retirement would look like for us. We love Edisto for their commitment to preservation of nature. This house at the end of the road in Wyndham complex views a slither of a golf course and a gorgeous lagoon where we watched baby gators and lots of beautiful birds. So peaceful. Our dog loved it too viewing from the deck. We will be back!

The property has a secluded feel with a beautiful lagoon surrounding it. Many hours spent on the wonderful wrap around deck! Beach is a short drive and house resides on 1st hole of golf course. My husband enjoyed watching the green maintenance each morning.
Owners were great to work with and the in and out process was quick and easy!

The house was in a perfect location, almost like a wildlife preserve. Lots of gators, deer and beautiful birds. The binder the owner left was very helpful. The amenities at the resort were definitely worth paying for. The bed had ample bedrooms with plenty of bathrooms. The beds were super comfy. Look forward to staying here again!

Thank you for allowing us to stay at your property! Its well loved and great for a family gathering. We loved the views, the large deck, the well equiped kitchen and all the space. The only feedback I have is that I would recommend this spot for children 12 and older only due to the large amount of baby/teenager and adult alligators on property. We were able to educate our 8 year old twins on the safety but could not allow them downstairs without an adult as they were near the entrance to the home and because we love nature we didn't want to disturb them and wanted to keep the children safe. Thank you again.

This well-loved house is in the perfect location for watching all the nature on the island: birds, gators, deer, and more. The gated porch was perfect for a lounging pup. We will definitely be back.

Our family with two teenage boys had a great Spring Break trip to Edisto in your home. The layout worked very well for us with plenty of space in each room and lots of storage and enough bathrooms. The kitchen was well-appointed with what we needed to cook. We were grateful to be able to take our dog, but of course had to be vigilant about staying away from the alligators! The wildlife was mesmerizing each day! We would be happy to stay here again! Thank you!

This property is perfectly suited for the location with the deck that wraps around 3 sides of the house. The views were better than ocean front with all the wildlife, golf course and lagoon. Having the golf cart to go exploring was so nice as well. We really appreciate being able to bring our dogs. Inside, the house is due for a good cleaning. We will certainly stay again though. Thank you for a wonderful getaway!

The property was perfect for our extended weekend stay. Everything was neat and clean and the kitchen was the best stocked with utensils and pots/pans of all the VRBO places I have stayed. The wildlife was abundant including the alligators, turtles, deer and hundreds of birds flying in to roost in the nearby trees each night.

We loved watching the different kinds of wildlife. The only regret was we had to leave in a week. Your house is amazing! We’ve stayed here twice now and enjoyed it both times. The property is quiet, spacious, and private. The beach is a short drive away and nice restaurants and markets nearby as well. Nice nature spottings from the balcony as well!

This property is at the end of the road, near a beautiful lagoon, the golf course and one other home. We loved watching the alligators, and it’s 2 babies, trees filled with squawking egrets and an abundance of dear. The outside deck allowed our family to enjoy all this wildlife safely. The layout is perfect. My brother came down from Indiana to meet us, it was his first time seeing the ocean, he’s 41. It was amazing. Our daughter (21) with her partner, and our son (17)took the upstairs rooms, my brother took the front bedroom and my husband & I with our little dog had the huge master bedroom. Our 13 year old dog Frody was pampered all week and loved riding around the neighborhood on the golf cart provided. It was truly the best vacation of our lives. Thank you for sharing your wonderful home. It exceeded our expectations.

Family Retreat
The property owner is quick to respond and a pleasure to deal with. The house is more spacious than it appears in the photos. It is an older home, but it has a comfortable feel, and it accommodated our family very well. The wrap around deck has a gate, and makes it safe for a pet or smaller children. The view of the lagoon is a peaceful retreat. The location at the end of the street, is more remote and quiet. It is a great area to ride bicycles. The kitchen is very well stocked. We would stay at this location again!

Everything about this property is perfect. Pictures do not do the home justice. Very clean and open. Lots of light. The deck and view are fantastic. Momma (assume) alligator and babies were out all day and were fun to observe from a safe distance. Lots of other wildlife. Amenities in the house were great with tons of supplies available. Food in the area was amazing and really recommend Ella and Ollies on the property for a great dinner. Other local places for seafood, chicken and pizza were great. Neighbors were friendly and it's a very dog friendly community. So go, relax, and enjoy.
