Grande Albergo Delle Rose

Great location with breakfast on a terrace leading down to the sea. Short walk along waterfront to harbour and Old Town. We stayed for a week in a large comfortable room with a sea view and good air conditioning. Staff very friendly and helpful with excellent English. Hotel is in the Casino building and ask taxi drivers for this! Some excellent restaurants/bars very close. No need to go into town centre.

Rather dead reception area. We were there in mid October and the bar wasn’t open. Not the property’s fault but the beach is pebbles. Sea is beautifully clear though with sunbeds/sunshades aplenty.

It’s a beautiful historic building in a great location. Love all the old information on the walls and little art works. It gives it a special vibe. Yet a little haunted. :) activity was spotted by more than 1 person. Upon arrival we were met by a very kind woman who let us store our luggage and called us when the room was ready.

Property itself was nice but we got very sick from Noro virus and asked for help from reception. Didn’t get much response here when we politely asked for help with dehydration medication and we almost called an ambulance because we were so poorly. In the end they brought as a sachet of salt upon request. The next day upon check out I had called a taxi and the lady screamed at me on the phone because the taxi had arrived already and my daughter hadn’t arrived yet to the counter(she was slow because of the recent sickness) upon check out just took the room card and said. Ok bye. Nothing else. No how was your stay. Thank you for staying with us. It was a very strange experience especially because we still felt bad and weak. Will never come again.
