Loved the outdoor space and the communal dinner was just what these pilgrims needed! Delicious!!
The bathroom on the main level could use updating and could have been cleaner.

A Truly Special Place on the Camino – Albergue Villa Romana Albergue Villa Romana is so much more than just a place to sleep along the Camino. It is a place where beautiful memories are made, strangers become friends, and the true spirit of the Camino comes alive. ❤️ Julia, the wonderful host, has a special gift for creating an atmosphere of warmth, unity and togetherness. If you wish, you can join a communal dinner prepared for a small donation. The meal is usually vegetarian, hearty and full of carbohydrates just what tired pilgrims need after a long day of walking (and the perfect excuse to sleep well that night! 😉). A glass of local wine makes the experience even more special. One of my most beautiful Camino memories is from this very place: pilgrims from Poland, America, Brazil and other parts of the world coming together to help prepare the table, sharing food, stories, laughter and experiences from our journeys. For a little while, we were no longer strangers from different countries — we were one big Camino family, connected by the same road and the same spirit. The albergue is also set in a beautiful location, with a lovely garden that invites you to slow down, relax and simply enjoy the moment. My advice? Arrive early if you can, give yourself time to enjoy the garden, soak up the peaceful surroundings and let the magic of this place unfold. Thank you, Julia, for creating something so special. You reminded me that the Camino is not only about the places we walk through, but above all about the people we meet, the kindness we receive and the memories we carry in our hearts long after we return home. Highly recommended to anyone walking the Camino who wants to experience not just accommodation, but the true spirit of the Camino. Buen Camino! 🙏❤️
I stayed in a bedroom on the top floor of the house, with comfortable beds that made for a lovely rest after a long day on the Camino. One small practical thing to keep in mind is that the toilet is on a lower level, so you need to go down the wooden stairs during the night. The stairs are quite creaky and may disturb other pilgrims who are sleeping, so I would definitely recommend bringing earplugs! A little tip that might make everyone’s night more peaceful. 😊

Everything. Julia and Dago are very good at running the Albergue which made it easy for us. Great beds and showers. The dinner was hysterically fun and delicious. The experience was a 10.
Nothing. Fantastic.

The house was beautiful and right on the Camino trail
‘Vegetarian communal dinner’ is soup and angel hair pasta with tomato sauce while breakfast is sliced bread, jam, and DIY coffee - hosts ask for 13 euro ‘donation’ to cover cost of dinner and breakfast despite the fact that it says it is included online. Towel and sheets not included despite price of room and saying this is included online.
