Overall we had a fabulous stay for 3 weeks , the location of the property is perfect , short walking distance to great coffee and great food no matter what you feel like eating, and if we didn’t feel like walking or driving there was always an Uber 4-5 mins away . The house is furnished to a high standard and extremely comfortable , tonnes of space to spread out and relax no matter what time of day there’s a space for everyone ! . The local property manager Emma was absolutely awesome and dealt with any queries swiftly, with Amazing professionalism, from the well-stocked and gratefully received welcome pack after a long flight ! to any others bits that cropped up during our stay - Emma your a rock star 🌟! . 9 women at end of Kilimanjaro climb, Safari and then into Cape Town. House was perfect - checkin seamless and close to Cape Town. It many cute restaurants near. Highly recommend.

The house is so spectacular that it takes your breath away. The house manager Emma and the housekeeper Connie make you feel so comfortable and at home that you never want to leave. Virginia was extremely accommodating in letting us have a late checkout the day of our departure. I highly recommend this property to anyone wanting to stay in capetown.

I looked at about 100 properties for an 11-week stay during August in Cape Town and nothing quite matched the stunning location and level of comfort offered at Wind Rose. We needed a property for 12 family members in Cape Town for a wedding and Wind Rose suited us perfectly. The stand out features include the remarkable view offered in the living areas and six (of seven) bedrooms. It is, in every sense, breath-taking; large crashing waves with Robben Island and Table Mountain both in view. Two large living areas were very lovely(one tv and one for photography and talking). Two large garages were also useful. The kitchen was very well equipped (great cooker, fridge, washing machine etc) and really easy to use. The bedrooms were very well appointed as were the bathrooms. The dining area was most impressive (in keeping with the house) and yet like everything in the house, easy to look after. The beaches all wonderful for walks and photographs. Very helpful to have On the Rocks restaurant next door with cake shop near also. The Bayside shopping centre provides the wonderful Checkers supermarket - also a dentist surgery (they saved the day with an emergency tooth extraction) , chemist, florist, wine store... The location is great and easy to drive to and from the centre of Cape Town and yet also escape across country. I cannot praise the staff highly enough. Property manager Emma is excellent as is the wonderful housekeeper Connie whom we loved and was so, so helpful and great fun also. We were here in Winter month, so are unable to report on the little swimming pool but it looked nice. All my dealings with the owners were very cordial and efficient. One or two automatic HomeAway emails were a bit distracting... but other than this, Wind Rose is the most wonderful house we have every stayed in and as a family we have been roaming the world for 22 years. This combines homeliness and luxury, practicality with art works, comfort with efficiency of use. I cannot praise it highly enough. Thanks for making it SUCH a memorable holiday.

Whow whow whow. That is what comes to my mind. Words cannot describe The Windrose. We were a family with adult kids and we spend 3 glorious days at The Windrose. Everything was just perfect for us. There are enough space for everyone to have his or her privacy if needed. The rooms were beautiful and they have the most amazing views over the bay on Table Mountain. The en suite bathrooms are very comfortable and all towels and linen are exceptionally good quality. Emma and Conney were very helpful and kind and made you feel welcome from the start. I will recommend the Windrose to everyone that wants to come and experience Cape Town. It is very well situated and close to the restaurants and shops. You really dont have to hire a car. Make use of Uber. Thanks Virginia for your kindness and an unforgettable stay.

What a fantastic house, extremely well equipped-fantastic views-spotless, tidy and extremely well equipped for all types( families, friends or even business trips) . The house is secure and has the best views in Cape Town for sure.would highly recommend and will certainly return

From day one everything was perfectly arranged, the vieuws are the max. the decorations off the house are very tastefull. the kitchen is well equiped. so we hat a greet time.

We loved every thing about the property but I did mail with complaints about the plumbing with you have not replied to so can you please do that. and send the deposit as well. Thankyou

The pictures on the website do not do this home justice. Every person in our group was delighted by the property from the minute we walked in. The home is beautifully and tastefully decorated The attention to detail was noticeable, I particularly liked the fresh flowers, so thoughtful. There were basic supplies to keep us going until we were able to get to a shop. The property is a home rather than a house, everything we needed, and more, was there. The location right on the beach was superb and having a decent restaurant right next door proved useful. If you're too lazy too make your own coffee in the morning you can simply go next door to the 'hole in the wall' for a decent cappuccino or espresso! The staff were charming and accommodated all our needs. I hope that we can return in the not too distant future to enjoy a glass of good South African wine while sitting on the outdoor patio, fire blazing and waves crashing against the rocks!

The property was fantastic. We were welcomed by the property manager who was thorough and helpful. The views were amazing! Food and light shopping are available within walking distance. We can't wait to visit again!

This home left us breathless. Fantastic location, exquisitely furnished, warm hospitality from the host. You will do yourself the biggest favor by booking this marvelous property. Just give yourself enough days as you will not want to leave. We will without a doubt stay here again!

The Windrose is everything you could wish for - it is beautiful, spacious, well equipped and comfortable. It was perfect for our family group with plenty space to enjoy our break together and every one of us would love to come back some day.

This property is beautiful!! It is spacious and tastefully decorated just as the picture shows. It can accommodate a lot of people since the flow of the house is great and the facilities are of excellent quality. The property was clean upon arrival. The view from the Master bedroom is magnificent and the linens are of high quality. The owner and property manager were easy to work with and they will go out of their way to assist you. You have a full view of Table Mountain, the sun set. We turned the lights off at night inside and watch the ocean danced under a full moon. The weather was not great when we were there, but it did not bother us. We knew that it might be cold so that is why we have chosen this house. We ate at On The Rocks restaurant two doors down from the house as well as Ons Huisie which is within walking distance of the house. Both are great restaurants. We took a long walk on the beach and felt very safe. Easy to find grocery stores in the area. I would love to go back one day since it was the perfect spot for us finding a home away from home to visit with our South African siblings and mother of 85years old. I recommend this property 100% .

So, we arrived! Upon arrival, everything was in place and setup for our stay. We were greeted by Emma, the property manager, and given a full run down of the extent of the house as well as what can be found in and around the area. After a brief and friendly conversation, we were left to enjoy the first of many beautiful sunsets. What was most enjoyable and pleasant, was the peacefulness of the surroundings regardless of the popularity of the beautiful beach front. Everything needed was close by and easily accessible. The description of this house is exactly what you get. It is not too good to be true. A spacious, clean, well appointed and decorated, seaside villa with the ocean right at your window. We had 11 adult guests stay comfortably. The location has restaurants, a shopping center, grocery store, and ATM nearby. It's also not too far away from Cape Town central that traveling is unreasonable (around 20-30min depending on traffic but can be longer during rush hour). It's also on the radar for Uber so getting a lift to and from can be easy and less than $20USD. We also enjoyed being there during the down season for tourism which was reasonable in terms of weather (50s-60s F for the American perspective) and ideal in terms of the lack of crowds. The owner, property manager, and house cleaners could not have been anymore kind, flexible, attentive, and professional. It made for an unforgettable set of memories, fantastic views, perfect sunsets, fireside chats (we used the outdoor grill too), home cooked meals, and restful nights.

What a spectacular property ! We often rent large houses around the world for family gatherings as we are somewhat scattered around the globe. This particular property is a stand out ! It was exactly as it was described and photographed ... and perfect for us. The location of the house ensures a spectacular view of Table Mountain across the bay and its position on the rocks makes for a wonderful soundtrack of the ocean and the waves. We were a large group that never felt crowded as the living spaces flow very well. All bedrooms are very high end and stylishly finished, and the views are magnificent. It is the perfect house for a large group of friends and/or family from a practical standpoint but what makes it a gem is the ability to sit outside, glass of good South African wine in hand, and watch the sun set over the bay beside Table Mountain. The owner Virginia is delightful and a pleasure to correspond with and the manager and staff that took care of us at the house went above and beyond to ensure that we were happy and had all that we needed. I would highly recommend the property ..... We simply cannot wait to return ! Thank you Virginia.
