Hugo Homestay

We arrived in Phong Nha on a night bus at 4am, and Hugo was incredibly kind and came to pick us up. There were no taxis available at that time, so we were incredibly grateful for his help! The accommodation was excellent and Hugo went above and beyond to make our stay easy and enjoyable. He organised our day excursions, arranged motorbike hire and even invited us to have dinner at the homestay prepared by his lovely wife, which was such a nice touch after a long day exploring. The pool was also fantastic, especially in the warm weather — the perfect place to relax. Hugo was so friendly, helpful and welcoming. We really enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend Hugo’s Homestay to anyone visiting Phong Nha!

Confortable clean and a lot of options to visit by tours

A bit far from everything if you like to walk

Spacious dorm, clean facilities, big pool and chill area, good breakfast options, nice staff

- area is nice but it takes a bit of time to get to the center

- pick up service didn’t work, as my bus was delayed - bicycles are NOT for free and they’re crap - homestay owner tries to sell cave tours as soon as you check in. Even at the breakfast he’s sitting next to you, not to have a nice conversation - only to try to sell tours All in all I felt like the owner only saw dollar signs as I checked in
