The location is incredible; it just couldn't be closer to St. Mark's Square. Yes, the six floors without a lift are an effort at first but well worth it. The apartment itself was clean and tidy and the ideal size for us.

My only two gripes (and they are minor) is that some spare bedding (blankets and pillows) would be useful, as would some more crockery (bowls, mugs etc.)

The property is in a great location, and the landlord provided excellent service.

One weakness could be said the poorly functioning refrigerator.

The location was fabulous, steps away from St Mark's Square. However, when we arrived there were no keys in keybox. We were tired and had climbed a lot of steps up a narrow spiral staircase with our bags. We contacted the host, who came and let us in within about half an hour, so not too bad.

This apartment has the potential to be really excellent. The location is fantastic, but there are 110 steps up to it. There is no lift, so you have to be reasonably fit and you carry suitcases and any groceries up and down. The internal pictures do not show that the apartment furniture/kitchen/bathroom are very tired. The bath is particularly old, chipped with a rusting plug hole. (Wish I had taken a picture!)The electrics are poor too (OK, it is an old property). There is a note left saying not to have more than two electric items on at once. The lights tripped three times while we were there. We were only using the kettle and the grill (for toast). There was no light in the dining area, so we could not use that in the evening. We messaged the host, but no reply. The apartment is three bedrooms, two double and a single. However, the double on the mezzanine was just a mattress on the floor - there was no bed frame. Not very comfortable! I am sorry to say it but the pillows were very stained (I put a towel over mine) - they definitely need replacing! We stayed 3 nights, (my husband and I, adult son and daughter. A bit disappointing for £800.
