The location was excellent for us and was very comfortable for all three of us. It was also great to have the rooftop deck to spend time on was a real treat.

Unfortunately the smoke detector’s battery was dying so it was beeping regularly. I contacted the property but heard nothing back and it was unresolved for our stay. Without that annoyance it would have been great.

The apartment looked exactly as depicted in the photos - very clean and cutely decorated. Had everything we needed - they had tons of extra power adaptors (we had brought our own) and a drying rack in the back deck we used daily, which was key when we did laundry and for all our bathing suits and towels post beach. Also a hose on the roof deck which was great for hosing off after the beach to not track sand everywhere. The location was amazing - we were warned that Albufeira was loud and party central but this place is about a 5 min walk from the downtown core and very quiet at night but if we wanted to venture out it wasnt far to find restaurants, shopping and nightlife. Sugar Rabbit cafe is the business below and we went there regularly as it was so delicious for take out coffees and breakfast.

This wasn't an issue for us but the entrance to the apartment is right on the patio of the Sugar Rabbit cafe and so you often have to scoot in and around people and patio chairs when you're coming and going during business hours. We did not encounter any issues and people were very accommodating and friendly.

Location, quality of apartment, lovely roof terrance

Great location, although there were two different addresses associated with the reservations and the taxi driver actually dropped us off a few blocks away because he was confused with the address. The apartment was BEAUTIFUL, very contemporary, clean and well appointed with a few exceptions that had more to do with the host and housekeeping. Check in was very easy.

The host was seemed to only want me to call them with concerns, which I prefer not to do. It was booked through Booking.com as was most of our 7 weeks and 4 cities in Portugal. Everyone else communicated well through their messaging system which I use as documentation with any concerns or problems. We spent over $1300 for a 9 night stay, and although that is a pretty good price point we should have had the FUNDAMENTAL BASICS OF TOILET PAPER AND AT LEAST ONE VISIT FROM HOUSEKEEPING. I told the host that we only had 3 rolls (half or quarter size of normal toilet paper) and had to go out and buy our own after a couple of days and a half roll of paper towels in the kitchen. I also wondered when we would see a change of linens. I was told due to the drought, they were only changing linens and towels once a week, but after 9 nights we still never saw anyone. He said NOTHING about the lack of paper products or apologized. I get the water thing, but I ended up washing our towels, cleaning the bathroom and sweeping the floors because no one ever came or did anything. I don’t go on vacation only to do my own cleaning and the water situation has nothing to do with a visit for a quick clean up or bringing us some toilet paper! There was also the issue of having to squeeze around a 12” space in front of the bed without banging up your shins on the sharp corners of the bed frame, no blanket but for a thin $3 twin sized throw for two people AND being expected to climb up a very steep cobblestone street 300 meters to take the trash out ourselves. The family upstairs was also very noisy with stomping feet of children and moving furniture until late at night. Although there were many nice things about the apartment, I would not stay there again because of the management.
