Jaca Hostel Porto da Cruz

Kevin and Quincy were so welcoming and helpful and couldn't do enough. I was straight off the plane and they made my entry to Madeira so much easier and more enjoyable due to their 5* hospitality. The vibes in the hostel were outstanding - everyone so friendly

Comfortable bed, great social space to hang out (both inside and the beautiful courtyard!). I also greatly appreciated the WhatsApp group - so helpful for doing fun things with new friends! And the staff were very communicative and helpful too with recommendations!

Great location, exceptional cleanliness, and incredibly friendly staff who make you feel at home from the moment you arrive. Kevin and Quincy are not just hostel staff - they are true hosts, and it was a real pleasure getting to know them. The common areas are welcoming and designed in a way that makes it easy for guests to meet and connect with each other. You can pour yourself a locally brewed draft beer and relax around the large dining table, on the comfy couches, or on the benches in the patio. The outdoor shower, tucked away behind huge banana leaves and surrounded by tropical flowers, is a lovely bonus! Overall, a wonderful place to stay I would highly recommended for solo travelers or small groups.

The bunk beds in the female dorm could have been a bit more stable, but it didn't affect the overall sleeping experience much. The mattresses were comfortable.

Was nice, the room was clean and good for us.

The room was too warm and no fan or air conditioning which forced us to keep the window open and the noise from the restaurant next door and the people on the street were very loud until around 12:00, if they had a fan in the room the problem would be solved.
