Absolutely love the hospitality at Hu A Lakeside House. The owner is simply lovely and friendly to talk to. The location was perfectly placed right next to the lake so it’s super easy to bike around!

The location is great. Just a 5 min walk away from the bus station and town centre.
Good room size, modern fixtures and overall very clean. The bed is comfortable.
- The person managing it is very efficient but I expect a certain warmth in interactions when staying at homestays and it was severely lacking. They took 0 initiative to give any suggestions for my visit to this tourist town. When asked about availability of taxis in the evening, their response was “you can try” - a very “not my problem” attitude. Even the business hotel I stayed in in Taipei had more warmth and politeness. Rest of the family members and housekeeping staff were welcoming in contrast.
- Not much of a view
- No cupboards/drawers to organize stuff
