This rental clearly caters to families, with plenty of toys, activities, rounded tables, and very little in the way of glass furniture/ornaments. There was a pack-n-Play in the unit, it had a mattress and linens, and the three tiered bunk bed with trundle is an awesome touch for the kids' room. King sized bed in the master was perfectly comfortable with a mattress topper, and the windows were armed with some serious floor to ceiling blackout shades - just got to make sure you overlap them where they part and you'll sleep through the most intense sunrises if your kid kept you up all night, lol (yes, we tested this).
The kitchen is small, but surprisingly functional - they have lots of different pots and pans, utensils, both in porcelain and plastic for the kids. Reminds me of an RV we owned for size reference, we set a one person in the kitchen at a time rule. Check out the fridge size before you do your grocery run, buy half gallon sizes or less to maximize. No ice maker, you're going to want a couple of coolers if that's important to you.
It got below freezing for us, but they supplied a space heater and it was the perfect thing. The host is incredibly responsive.
Things I wish I had brought:
Sound machine for kids' room.
Something soft for the floor for the infant.
Swiffer to clean the floor constantly (sand! There is a broom, I'd just prefer it).
This was an extremely pleasant and peaceful visit to Galveston, we really enjoyed the unit and would recommend it.

I loved the condo and highly recommend it. The location was perfect for beach-lovers. The condo was well stocked with all the necessary items, the bed was very comfortable and the view from the balcony was wonderful.

This is a great stay especially for family and young kids! My 1.5 year old son had plenty of toys to play with in the room and the beach was within walking distance. The games in the first floor were also really fun (bocce ball, pickleball, basketball, pool) and we were close to other fun museums and attractions in Galveston. 100% recommend!

The condo was great! It was stocked with everything we needed. The space was comfortable & convenient to get to the beach. The only issue was the room wasn’t cleaned well. There was long black hair scattered around with big clumps on the bathroom floor & in the shower drain. There was a half full water bottle under the sofa & the dishwasher was full. We didn’t know if they were clean so we ran them again.

Just stay at Grand Galvez or San Luis resort. We didn’t know the area and decided to try Vrbo. This is and old building and needs rehab. My husband has a mustache and goatee but the check in person called him Christina multiple times. That went over as well as a train wreck. We got stuck in one of the elevators which both of seem to be 40+ years old and the call button in it is disabled for whatever reason. It was then taken out of service and repaired next day. The unit is ok but smells of what I think is mold being covered up by some kind of cleaner. The lock to get in is cumbersome and should be replaced with a Bluetooth one. Somehow lost the email with the code so were locked out for about 45 min at 6am. The Wi-Fi is 24mb so the zoom meetings I had were choppy. Signing and initialing around 10 things at check in that say things like you are responsible for all attorney fees if we sue you and etc is not pleasant and that you have to clean the unit because it’s not a hotel room but rather someone’s home while charging a high cleaning fee was off putting. There are two ev parking spots but no chargers not sure what the point of that is. Both spots flooded ankle deep after an hour of rain. The gate is coded and locked but was left slid open multiple times maybe broken not sure. Laundry machines leak all the detergent all over the front of the machine instead of inside of it.

For the Galveston area, this condo stands out, because you're on the beach! And not separated by the Seawall road.

Great little condo. Wonderful location - close to beach (short walk via wooden bridge), restaurants. Great amenities of the condo itself - 24hr manned front desk, pool, tv with Nintendo mini, lots of hooks for towels, plenty of towels, beach toys.
Note for families there is no bathtub and it is a single bathroom so can take a while to get everyone through showers. Doesn’t take away anything from the property but just to be aware!

Perfect Location
We were very pleased with our rental. The owner had great communication. The unit was clean and had a beautiful view. The location was perfect. The beach wasn’t crowded at all; and the location was close to all the local hot spots. I would book again anytime.

The condo itself was very well stocked with everything we needed, super clean, great view, and definitely comfy. The pool is amazing, you can avoid all sun if going before noon just about, and take a quick boardwalk trip to the beach without crossing roads!! We absolutely loved it everything about it and would definitely recommend and return!

We've stayed at a number of condos and resorts. This is one of the best appointed units we've ever seen! From a well equipped kitchen to beach chairs, umbrellas, and toys, we had a perfect stay here. The beds were comfortable and the kids loved the bunk beds. Christina was great at answering any questions and providing information. We will definitely be back!

The condo is lovely and well-provisioned. The views from the two balconies, living room, and master bedroom are worth every penny. You can lay in bed and watch the water. Sit on the protected balcony with a cup of coffee and watch the waves. It was exactly what we hoped for.
It was really windy during our visit, and we really appreciated the protected balcony to enjoy the beach views without being assaulted by the wind and blowing sand. The balcony and floor to ceiling windows with amazing views were a trip saver.
The property is fenced with security, friendly front desk assistance, elevators, handicap parking, and a private boardwalk over the dunes to a private beach for the condo. The pool is quiet and lovely.
The condo is equipped with board games and video games, TVs, and Netflix. The property owners have a welcome book with all the info you need, plus a list of their recommended dining on the island. The property owner was great about checking in via text to make sure everything was to our liking.
I have limited mobility, using canes and a wheel chair for distances. I had no trouble using the wheelchair to get from the parking into the 6th floor condo. The bathroom is not handicap accessible, which I knew from the listing pictures. And it worked for us. But worth mentioning for those looking for accessibility info
The condo is set up great for a couple like us or a small family with kids. and the private beach is quiet and easy to access.

Couldn't be better... It was great from the start. This condo building has a staffed front desk and everyone was so polite and knowledgeable.
First off, most Galveston "Beach front" condos aren't on the beach...you have to cross Seawall Blvd. This condo is literally right on the beach, no streets to cross. And has a gated-entry free parking lot.
Secondly...not one, but two balconies! If it's late at night and you want to be on the private balcony off your bedroom...sure! If it's early in the morning and you want to let your significant other sleep, use the balcony off the living room!
My wife is very particular when it comes to cleanliness (...she always washes the "already clean" dishes at hotels or vacation rentals before use, always wipes stuff down with sanitizer wipes--even before the pandemic, checks beds/bathrooms right away, etc etc)... We both were very happy with the cleanliness of the place!
We didn't have any problems or issues at all! When we did reach out to the owner (no issues with unit, just local-area questions) she was impressively fast at responding back to us.
Was a wonderful experience and would stay there again in a heartbeat.
