Palazzo Scagliae è un castello del XIII secolo, situato alla sommità di un bellissima e tranquilla collina con 12 ettari di terreni privati in località Pisciano, Gubbio. Circondato da paesaggi mozzafiato e con vista su Gubbio e la sua valle, siamo lieti di offrirvi la nostra casa che è stata ristrutturata con cura e con metodi e materiali tradizionali nell'arco di quasi 30 anni. Il Palazzo e' arredato con mobili antichi e pezzi d'epoca dalla nostra collezione. Gubbio è a soli 12 km e il paese di Mocaiana 2,5 km
Palazzo Scaglia è attualmente predisposto per ospitare fino a 8 persone su 3 piani. Dispone di 2 camere matrimoniali, camera doppia, un divano letto matrimoniale e un divano letto singolo. Ci sono 5 bagni con 4 docce, 2 soggiorni con TV, cucina rustica, una sala da pranzo con mobili antichi, stalle con soffitti a volta e una grande terrazza solarium con mobili da giardino ed una grande vasca idromassaggio per 8-10 persone. La proprietà è recintata, ha un videocitofono al cancello principale e un garage sotterraneo.
Il Palazzo è arredato con molti mobili d'epoca e opere d'arte dalla nostra collezione. Letti aggiuntivi possono essere installati nei piani inferiori su richiesta, e una culla è disponibile senza alcun costo aggiuntivo
Situato in cima alla montagna, a circa 900mt sul livello del mare, Palazzo Scagliae domina le vallate circostanti ed offre una vista spettacolare di Gubbio e della campagna umbra.

lovely stay in a beautiful environment.The views are amazing. In 20' you are in the centre of Gubbio and Perugia is 45' away.Great starting point to visit both Umbria and the Marche

picture a star-spangled sky, a 13th century palazzo, lots and lots of space on a hilltop, the sounds of wildlife and not much else that could disturb the silence. And that would only begin to describe the feeling of welcome and freedom you experience at the Palazzo Scagliae. The hosts are gemstones, they give you all the tips to make the best of your stay. Gubbio, the Apennine mountains, Perugia, Assisi, the Marche region, centers of truffle and cashmere...all there. Hope to come back soon and explore more of the region.

If you ever dreamed of staying in a medieval castle on the hill, you dont have to dream any longer, because .... now you can. Palazzo Scagliae is amazing and its very difficult for the images to actually do it justice. It is even better when you see it and stay there for yourself. The owners Andreina and Nello are two of the nicest people you could ever wish to meet. Their passion for a project that has taken them over 35 years to bring the Palazzo to the condition it is today is evident in their enthusiasm for the building and the attention to detail in which they have restored it. They met us and took us round personally explaining everything we needed to know for a comfortable vacation and at our request even educated us on more of the history of the building and surrounding area.It is a perfect location for Gubbio and the surrounding area in your own special grounds but minutes from the main road via tarmac, not rubble as you often get in this region. Perugia airport is only 45 mins away by car. Ideal for a family, especially if you are dog lovers and missing your own pets whilst away as you are visited almost on a daily basis by the most friendliest dog you could ever wish to meet. Sometimes she comes for a stroke and sometimes for a light dog snack! but mainly just to be with you whilst you while away the hours at the Palazzo. She then wanders off back home and doesnt bother you. There are a couple of other local dogs also who visit on a regular basis in the evening but all are very friendly and great with children. The views are spectacular and the seclusion and privacy of having a castle that can sleep at least 8 is very special. It is secure with electric gates and its own private grounds. We dont really want to recommend this special place to anyone because we want to keep it for ourselves but it would be a shame for others not to enjoy the building and location. Plenty of bathrooms, beds, space inside and out, pizza oven, bbq, hot tub, the list goes on. To have the whole Palazzo to yourself is fantastic and we can only recommend it very highly.
