Bonnie Cottage was perfect for our weekend stay. We were very comfortable and the owners were very accommodating. It was very clean, convenient to our wedding venue, and so quiet. Lovely home!

Lovely place to stay in a nice location. We enjoyed sitting on the deck looking at the beautiful scenery. The beds were clean and comfortable as were the den furnishings. My husband loved the Library and the comfortable recliners. Coffee and coffee makers were provided including K-cups along with a welcome bag of snacks and bottle of wine. Wendi was very accommodating and promptly replied to all our questions. Would recommend highly and would like to stay there again.

The home was very clean and well stocked. Quaint and well kept. Nicely decorated. My family enjoyed a great two days and used the place as our home base in-between wedding festivities.

Bonnie Cottage was perfect for my family, including grandchildren ages 7 and under. It was a treat to have the gorgeous view from the deck. We really enjoyed the two huge bookshelves and games in our down time. The bedrooms were huge and worked well for family units. We will definitely plan to stay here again.

Beautiful home and Wendi was extremely helpful responding to questions before our stay as well as during check-in. Her home is well stocked, very clean and nestled on a very quiet road. I would definitely recommend this home to friends and will stay here again if I am in the area.

We had a family wedding at Flat Mountain Farm (which is an awesome venue). We needed a place for the family to stay. This place was beautiful, just so lovely. So much more than we expected that we hated to leave. The hosts were very accommodating. Five stars for sure.

In the middle of a 15 day jeeping and camping (overlanding) adventure, I booked us a cottage in Highlands, NC to get some showers, real beds, laundry facilities, and recovery time, before heading back into the woods. I am sure glad I did, because we all absolutely loved Bonnie Cottage. The location couldn't have been more perfect, being merely minutes from downtown, and at the same time, perched among the mountainside woods in a way that felt almost as secluded as the backcountry dispersed campsites we'd been enjoying along the way. The roads to get there were slightly confusing, but incredibly charming, and it seemed that each time we drove to or from town, one of us had to comment on how nice the drive was. The facilities were everything we hoped for, having enough showers and tubs for three weary, traveling adults and one toddler to quickly get bathed up and head in to civilization for dinner. The washer and dryer worked as expected and the kitchen was a great size and setup, although I must admit, after a week of camp cooking we never really used the kitchen much, opting instead to dine out. The beds would be my only concern, and that's only because my wife and I are used to extremely firm mattresses. If you like a plush and cushy mattress, these beds are going to make you feel like you're sleeping on the clouds. As for the house, it was clean, charming, peaceful, and well kept. We will definitely be recommending this place, and hopefully be back someday.

Great cottage and location

Excellent place! Tastefully furnished and Decorated beautifully with personally done art. Everything we needed was there. So well equipped. Host was so responsive to any help and questions we requested. We were very comfortable and enjoyed a nice girlfriends getaway weekend .

Bonnie Cottage has quickly become our family’s favorite vacation home when visiting Highlands. Once you pull into the drive way you feel like you are home. The setting is perfect, the house is cozy and well appointed and the owners are so incredibly friendly and wonderful to work with. We love Bonnie Cottage!

We had such a great stay in Highlands for the Christmas tree lighting! Wish we could have stayed longer to enjoy this beautiful home! Wendi was great at communicating and left us a welcome bag full of goodies. The house was spacious and cozy. The kids enjoyed the games and reading books. We will definitely stay here again when our travels take us back to this area!

We came with a group of friends for a wedding weekend and had the best time! The house was very clean and had plenty of space and beds to accommodate everyone comfortably. Check in process was quick and easy and the property managers were great about communicating and giving recommendations for things to do during our stay! Thanks for having us!

Our stay from start to finish was seamless. Communication was top notch. The home owners have gone above and beyond providing everything we could have possibly needed during our stay. Supplies, snacks, toiletries, games, books and the kitchen is well stocked! I cannot say enough wonderful things about our time in this home. It was lovely. The location and setting are beautiful. The home is spacious yet cozy. Our plans kept changing and the owners were very accommodating. This home is a true gem and we would stay here again and again.

Actually my husband broke his leg and we were unable to go. However our children and grandchildren did attend and had only positive comments about the house.

The house and communication with the owner exceeded my expectations. We had 5 total couples here for a friends wedding and everyone was happy with our choice for lodging even though it was about a 7-8 minute drive from the downtown Main Street. Would definitely stay here again.

I was surprised how much bigger the rooms are in person than in the pictures. The rooms upstairs are very spacious with lovely sitting areas and a large bath. The deck was our favorite place to sit throughout the day. Very clean We would definitely rent the house again.

Our children & grandchildren, group of eight spent one July weekend at Bonnie Cottage and they had a great time. The cottage was very clean; well-appointed; and comfortable sleeping arrangements for their group. Wendi, one of the owners, kept in contact to make sure everything was in order. The location of the home is very convenient to Highlands. We would definitely lease this home again.

We stayed in this incredible house for the Fourth of July. The kitchen is incredible and the living room had plenty of space for our family. We also had a perfect view of the Highlands fireworks show on the back deck. The property is just a couple of minutes from downtown Highlands, so the location is absolutely perfect. We’ll be back!

Bonnie Cottage is a lovely and convenient place to stay when traveling to the Highlands/Cashiers area. There is no cookie-cutter feel to Bonnie Cottage. The exterior view of the house and property is really enchanting, while the interior design and decor of the house have a personal, cozy touch. A favorite of the adults in our family was the library, with its recliners, great reading assortment, and beautiful views through picture windows - while the kids went straight to the basement play room. The bedrooms are roomy, comfy, and pretty - with nice seating areas in each. The kitchen is nicely designed with convenient, high-end appliances and a lovely breakfast nook. We enjoyed receiving helpful travel tips from the owners - as well as a lovely welcome bag of goodies - and easily texted them with any questions we had. While very conveniently located, the home has a secluded, yet very safe feel. Bonnie Cottage is truly a lovely choice for families traveling to the HIghlands/Cashiers area.

I have rented several homes on VRBO and this one was by far the best host with communicating. Wendy responded right away to my questions and also gave us a list of restaurants with phone numbers. We had a great time and loved that there was a Mountain View and also that it was so close to town! I highly recommend this home for families

I rented Bonnie Cottage for my family to stay to attend my nephew’s wedding. There was plenty of room for 6 adults and 2 babies. The location is secluded, but a few minute car ride to town. The cottage had everything we needed as far as supplies. We enjoyed our stay. The owner was easy to deal with. It was a very positive experience!
