Penycoed Cottage
In una posizione isolata e incontaminata in cima a una collina con vista mozzafiato sulla valle di Dovey. Questo cottage ben attrezzato è pacificamente situato in 150 acri di terreno agricolo con il suo grande giardino recintato e stagno. Ristrutturato con cura, conserva molte caratteristiche originali ed è arredato in armonia con lo stile e l'età. Il cottage funge da casa quando non viene rilasciato. Machynlleth (5 miglia) ha negozi, ristoranti, noleggio biciclette e centro ricreativo con piscina. Spiaggia di sabbia, vela e golf sono disponibili anche ad Aberdovey 12 miglia. Santuario RSPB a Ynyshir 10 miglia, aquiloni rossi e altri uccelli possono essere individuati dal cottage. Centre for Alternative Technolgy 5 miglia. Fiume, pesca sul lago e pesca in mare nelle vicinanze. Piste ciclabili, tiro al piattello e quad sono disponibili entro 2 miglia. Vicinissima ai Great Little Trains of Wales. Passeggiate panoramiche e in bicicletta dalla porta di casa (cottage situato sulla bridleway). Pub, negozio e ufficio postale 1. 5 miglia.

Lovely setting. Beautiful surroundings, peaceful and secluded.Nice quaint cottage with gorgeous garden.Mary, our host was super lovely, really helpful and a font of knowledge. Weally enjoyed our stay and exploring the area.

Another lovely stay in this cottage. You’ll need to take all the essentials and be prepared to buy logs, kindling etc in the colder months but the location is fabulous and the wrap around garden perfect for dogs and a sense of being away from it all. Lovely walks in the area, only a short drive from amenities. This is our 4th stay here and we hope to return.

When you pull up outside, you’re all excited because it looks beautiful. But as soon as you open the door, that excitement starts to fade, and you start thinking, 'What have we booked here?' There is a weird smell that you don’t get used to, the pictures from the site are not recent and don’t reflect the true state of the property. There are spiders and cobwebs everywhere you look. I understand it’s an old property and there will be spiders, but some of the cobwebs look years old. The property needs a deep clean, a lick of paint, and the bathroom and kitchen desperately need an upgrade. But the worst thing, and the reason we left on the 3rd day and not the 4th, was the mattress on the double bed; it is as solid as a rock and very old, at least 20, 30, or 40 years old. We had to book a hotel for our last night. It’s disappointing because this house could be an amazing place.
