Not enough towels for the whole family

The location was fantastic, the apartment looked good inside - on the surface. We found someone else’s leftover food in the freezer, the microwave was dirty, there was rice(?) in a hole just in front of the microwave cabinetry when the door was open, and the cutlery and crockery and pots and pans were dirty. We had to wash everything before we used it. One dining chair was outside the front door - broken - and another chair was broken inside. Therefore we had only 2 dining chairs for 4 people. One of the lightbulbs in the ensuite bathroom needed replacing, and the double power point didn’t work in the bathroom. Neither did the double power point in the main bedroom on the window side. (I have photo’s of all of the above.) The apartment was also very cold, and the heated towel rails didn’t work at all. We are environmentally conservative and didn’t want the air conditioning going all night. We could only find one blanket, and it wasn’t enough for the freezing temperatures. The biggest and most stressful issue was the parking. I specifically asked about parking and was told we could park 600m away in Coles car park. Trouble was, Coles car park was a 2hr car park. What were we supposed to do after 2 hours? We certainly weren’t going to keep moving the car every two hours. It is very false advertising to say you can park there, when clearly that is wrong. Even when I rang the property phone number in a distressed state, the feedback was ‘well, you should be able to park there, we tell everyone they can’. Eventually we were able to park in the train station car park when we fortunately scored a vacant spot. Travelling a long way to attend a sporting event, we had to pay a very premium price for this accommodation, and we felt very let down with what we received. Positives - it was a in good location, and it was quiet.
